Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted August 31, 2004 Ok so Michael Vick has been having a lot of problems with his hamstring throughout preseason and training camps. So do you think he'll play over/under 8 games this season? IMO, I'm going to take under as I think he's going to tear his hamstring in the 3rd or 4th game of the season. He's been having trouble for a good month now and it doesn't appear to be getting better.
The Man in Blak 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2004 Hamstring injuries linger - just ask Donte Stallworth. You've got to take the under, not only because of the hamstring, but because Vick's style of play puts him in direct risk of getting the stuffing knocked out of him at any given time. razazteca 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2004 I say under at 4 games.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted August 31, 2004 Vick will start over 12-14 games this season, and prove everyone that he's one of the most overrated QB's in the league by not being able to will the Falcons to 9 wins, and of course missing the playoffs. Though of course if that happens, everyone will blame it on "lingering injuuries" he'll no doubt acquire through the season.
Guest Kageho Report post Posted August 31, 2004 Over at 15 games. I say he only misses one game of the season at best.
the max 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2004 I saw on Sportscenter that he's still experiencing tightness in his hammy, which directly translates to trouble if I'm thinking of the right guy. Mike Vick is #7 on the Falcons, the guy that is capable of running all over the place, but he's still a quarterback, right? If that's who it is, I'll take the under at 5 games that he plays. I know little about football, but the more you move around, the more likely that you're going to get hit and hit hard.

That's no excuse since Steve McNair won the MVP with several injuries that he incurred during the season. McNabb went to the NFC championship game with injuries. razazteca 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2004 Now I don't expect Vick to sink so low to the Tim Couch or Kurt Warner level of overratedness but if Vick does not produce this season he should be considered a bust. Warner level = 5 turnovers in one game Couch level = crybaby during postgame interviews
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Report post Posted August 31, 2004 Vick...a bust? He miraculously took his team through the 2002 season with a great record and helped defeat the mighty Packers at home. The next year he broke his leg and missed 3/4 of the season and played slightly injured for the rest. Who is he a bust? Thats the most ridiculous thing I've heard in a while...honestly. cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2004 Wasn't Warner playing with a concussion during that 5 TO debacle? As far as Couch goes, even though he's a KY guy I can't really defend him. He'll be lucky to make the Packers as their BACKUP. As far as Vick goes, I think he'll maybe miss a game or two this year due to lingering injuries but overall he'll play about 13 games. teke184 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2004 Under... I'd say 4-5 games before he goes out. The fact that he's a scrambler leaves him open to taking HUGE hits while fighting for yardage.

One season doesn't make a great player in the NFL. You have to admit he's way overhyped.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Report post Posted August 31, 2004 Vick's problem si that he isn't surrounded by very many weapons, thus he feels the need to carry the weight of his team on his back.
Mole 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2004 Vick is defiently overhyped. He has only had one good season but everyone is talking about like he's going to be the greatest QB ever. If he doesn't do well this season, I can see people still defending him.
