WCW Big Gold Belt or WWE Big Gold Belt

Recommended Posts

Guest bigm350

What do you prefer; the traditional Big Gold belt with no logo on it that was used in the NWA, WCW, and for a little while the WWF/WWE or the sleeker, shinier Big Gold belt with the WWE logo that the WWE now uses on Raw?

The WWE version of the World Heavyweight Championship is the best looking and my favorite Championship Belt the WWE has had in a long time

I think the old WWF belt was the best (it can be seen in my sig). It had a sense of prestige and honor with it. I grew up on the WWF, so this is the belt I prefer.

Yeah but no one ever cut themselves with the WCW belt. ;)

I always thought that the Winged Eagle WWF was too small to be a World Title. Now, the Big Gold represents what a World title should be; Huge and a beautiful piece of art.

The WWE Belt that Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar, Eddie Guerrero had is my favorite one. I seem to remember they made a smaller version first when HHH wore it (then Hogan), but when Taker got it they changed it for a bigger version.

I also really liked the previous WWE Belt, which I happen to own a replica of.

The Big Gold Belt is really indifferent to me. Since I'm mostly a WWF/E child, the WCW one seemed to represent the old ways more. It also looks like the WWE version has different name plates than those used in WCW, am I right?

I've always prefered the WCW Big Gold Belt, it just looks like a belt fitting for a champion. Watching the Flair DVD, the belt just adds something to his aura as champion, which I don't think the WWF title could have done.

I thought the wingled eagle version 2.0 (March '98) with the navy blue strap was the best. But I secretly wish that they had kept the original winged eagle because there's something cool about seeing the champs over the years with the same belt around their waists.

they had to make a new belt after hogan won it, cuz they changed to wwe and the title had a wwf scratch logo on it (then again they didnt make a new ic belt until last year and the tag belts were finally changed in november of 02) and besides that it looked too samll. the new one was bigger shinier and cooler. I think it just lost its shine over the last 2 years so now it doesnt look as good

I'm going with the tradtional "Big Gold Belt". The thing looks like it means something. Plus it's a large belt which I think adds to it. The new WWE version always pisses me off becuase there was nothing wrong with the old one and it just seems like a WWEised version of the belt much like the WWE U.S. Championship.
