I still don't even know where they're putting us up in a hotel, but I'll ask you what's around the area when I finally know. I might want to go out, but I've heard horror stories about Miami.

Depends on where you are. Hialeah and Little Havana are just poor areas filled with Cubans, no danger there. Beware of Liberty City, Opa-Locka, Carol City, basically most of North Miami, and Cutler Ridge down south.
