Guest Crazy Dan Posted September 4, 2004 Report Posted September 4, 2004 Real quick, I have been offered this trade... Carolina D and Jimmy Smith for Tampa Bay D and Calico (which is on my team.... I am not sure... any ideas on if this is a good trade or one I should reject... Thank you for any help
KingPK Posted September 4, 2004 Report Posted September 4, 2004 If you're getting Smith, I'd take it. I put him above Calico, and the Ds are pretty even (actually I might put TB over CAR, since TB has the better secondary, IMO), so it would be a very good deal for you.
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted September 4, 2004 Report Posted September 4, 2004 Calico is hurt and not 100%, so if you're getting Smith/Car take the deal. Plus I liek Car's D better anyway since TB lost Lynch and Sapp.
Coolclint Posted September 5, 2004 Report Posted September 5, 2004 Just in terms of WRs, Smith is still the #1 guy in Jacksonville, while Calico is a #3 guy in Tennessee behind Bennett and Mason. Smith is my dark horse pick in any draft. People look at last year's stats and say he's on the way down, but they don't remember that he missed the first four games of last year and could have broken the 1000 yard mark and had one or two more TDs had he been there to catch Leftwich (or early in the season, Brunell)'s passes.
razazteca Posted September 5, 2004 Report Posted September 5, 2004 Trading for the Panthers defense is a good idea.
Guest Rrrsh Posted September 8, 2004 Report Posted September 8, 2004 Calico wouldn't make any of my Fantasy teams and Smith would make all of them. Its a steal for you.
