NoCalMike Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 if you get Showtime Beyond network, keep an eye out for "The Eye" it is a pretty cool Asian Horror flick about a girl who gets an eye transplant and starts seeing scary things....
Downhome Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 Cool, I wish I had Showtime just so I could watch this again. I have yet to buy the DVD. It's not the best film ever, but it is very very good. Much better than most films of this type from the USA. There is one scene in the film specificly, that I'd rank up there as one of the most chilling moments ever. It's nothing horribly graphic, it's not even that BOO scary. It's just...chilling.

Downhome Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 I'm talking about the scene on the train when Mun realizes her refection is not her own.
NoCalMike Posted September 7, 2004 Author Report Posted September 7, 2004 I'm talking about the scene on the train when Mun realizes her refection is not her own. oh yes, yes I remember that quite well........freaky stuff.
BrokenTiger Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 I thought the elevator scene is scarier. Oh well. When it first came out, people dismiss it as another Sixth Sense rip-off...which is harsh, IMO. The actress is originally from my country Malaysia (mmm...) but moved to Hong Kong and the rest is history. Almost as good as, if not better than, Dark Water IMHO.
Guest El Satanico Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 This reminds me of the time when I reported that HBO was going to do a month long Asian horror "marathon". After we did some investigating we discovered it was only for HBO in India or some such place.
dubq Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 The second one isn't too shabby, either. Even though it has nothing to do with an actual eye or a transplant.
