Guest Evolution Report post Posted September 9, 2004 I'm going out to the video store tomorrow to look for it for rental, but I think it'll be well worth the rental and then some. I loved Burnout 2, and I heard that this was much better. Which is an amazing thought.
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2004 Played it on a demo at EB. Lots of people were playing it. I never finished the race I was playing since I kept intentionally having head-on collisions.
Scroby 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2004 We put out a demo today for the PS2 and my friend played it, I must say that I was impressed, the graphics were very nice and the gameplay was very quick. I might need to rent this in two weeks when I get it for free.
Only The Strong Survive 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2004 I've been playing it with a friend after trying it at GameStop. Worth the cash if you've got it and you're looking for a no-nonsense racing game with good graphics that'll get your adreanline flowing. It really puts you "in the zone." Thumbs up all the way for an immediate buy.
Guest MikeSC Report post Posted September 10, 2004 Best. Racing. Game. Ever. Honestly. Of course, I never got into Gran Turismo --- but Burnout 3 is phenomenal and deep as hell. Never seen a game that gives such an impression of pure speed before. -=Mike
Guest Evolution Report post Posted September 11, 2004 Rented it from Movie Gallery for a week. One day in, and I can say safely that this is the best racing game I've played. Not realistic by any stretch, of course, but it's all about adrenaline, and there are plenty of examples of that, and I'm not even 10% done with the game. Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2004 Best. Racing. Game. Ever. True, although I'm starting to wish I had gotten it for PS2. Not only is it cheaper than Live to play online, but the triggers on the Xbox controllers start making fingers hurt pretty fast when held down for too long. Not only is it cheaper than Live to play online, but the triggers on the Xbox controllers start making fingers hurt pretty fast when held down for too long. My thumbs are on the fast track to callouses, and it's true, pulling those triggers has a tendency to make my fingers ache. But it's too good to stop playing. AnonymousBroccoli 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2004 I rented the PS2 version not long after the store opened this morning, then played it for about 5½ hours straight. My throbbing head doesn't like me now, but the rest of me is happy.
edotherocket 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2004 This game is unreal. I loved Burnout2 and this far surpassed my expectations for a sequel. But I gotta say I prefer the Xbox version so I can change the soundtrack.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Report post Posted September 19, 2004 How does it match up with SRS (Street Racing Syndicate) ? I'm in love with that game right now.
