RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2004 I enjoyed the Michaels/Jericho team from last night. They'd really give the Tag Team division a lift if they were to team more often and compete for the gold. Jericho/Michaels Benoit/Regal Right there, it's the best the RAW Tag Division has been in years.
what 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2004 They should move the Cruisers to Raw and the Tag Teams from Raw to SmackDown. Thus creating a much better tag division. And it would create a fresh start for Rey Mysterio. He could do the "cruiserweight that doesn't want to be a cruiserweight" gimmick and become an IC title contender. Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2004 The cruisers would be used even less on Raw than they are on SD. Rey as IC contender? They don't even have him as US Title contender, so what makes you think they'll use him differently on Raw? The cruisers are fine where they are, especially since they have a supporter in Lagana on the SD side.

Why not switch them to Raw to make a decent tag division on Smackdown?
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2004 They'll be wasted on Raw, too. How are you going to squeeze them onto Raw? The only conceivable way would be to dump the women's division, but I don't see that happening. At least they've got an ally on the SD writing staff, and have been starting to get some use. It'll get the time the tag division got.
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2004 So, in essence, the same amount of time they get on SD. They'd be no better off on Raw, so I see no need to move them.

I'm suggesting the idea to fix the tag division, dude. The cruisers are going to be wasted in the WWE either way.
DCMaximo 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2004 It's sad that they used to be so good at making tag teams in the late 80's/early 90's. Just take two midcarders doing nothing, give them a team name, matching tights or a double team finisher (if you can get at least 2 out of these three, you've got a credible team) then the fans can get behind them without the suspicion that they'll break up soon. It's hard to get behind a makeshift duo because you know that within a month or two they'll be back working singles matches. I mean, on the Raw side, it's not like Val Venis is up to much, stick him with Stevie- both guys wear pink trunks, so it's a start. For Smackdown, give Holly and Gunn a team name and a finisher, put the FBI on Smackdown more and you've got a decent tag division there. It really shouldn't be too hard

All they need is the same theme song or matching tights and you got yourself a full time team.
