The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2004 This is my version of what I believe should happen on Raw 9/20/04. I know that I don’t have the proper number of commercial breaks, but that can be easily skipped past. I’m not even sure I have enough quantity, but read ahead and see what it COULD be like if Rando Booked Raw. If I decide to do this weekly, I will follow my storylines, and not the ones currently on television. Storylines Going Into Raw: Rhyno/Tajiri vs. La Rez Orton vs. HHH Evolution vs. Damn Near Everyone Vince’s big announcement Diva Search Finals Jericho vs. Christian vs. Shawn Michaels Victoria vs. Trish As Raw begins, there is no pyro, no music, and no videos. There is just one man, Vince McMahon. “Ladies and Gentlemen, last week I said that an earth-shattering announcement would be made that would affect Raw and all it’s superstars, and even it’s general manager Eric Bischoff. It has come to my attention over the past few weeks that he has been, well, more than favorable toward the group of Evolution. This is something that needs to be settled and needs to be settled now. So, Eric Bischoff is hereby SUSPENDED until I see it fit that he can retake his position. There will be no new General Manager, and the only authority will be myself, Vincent Kennedy McMahon, and nobody crosses this boss.” Bischoff rushes into frame, frantically screaming about hearing the announcement on a monitor in his office. Vince apologizes as security appears, escorting a panicking Bischoff out of the building. As the camera follows Bischoff till he is out the door, it is suddenly pushed out of the way and nearly to the floor by HHH, Flair, and Batista, with Hunter fuming and screaming about justice. “Hunter, you want justice? I’m going to give it to you. You see, in only a few short weeks, there will be a special event. One note seen in years and one that has long been seen taboo in the industry. On Tuesday, October 26th, RAW will present TABOO TUESDAY, live on Pay Per View!” “You suspended Eric so you could set up a (bleep)ing show!” HHH screams. “Not just any show. I said, this event is SPECIAL. At this event, the fans will choose the matches and the stipulations…including your opponent for the World Heavyweight Championship!” HHH freaks out as Flair gets in Vince’s face, but Vince only threatens to kick the other Evolution members out of the building and leave HHH by himself against Shelton Benjamin, Randy Orton, and Chris Benoit in the main event. Evolution calms down and walks out, with HHH still visibly pissed. Vince smiles into the camera as Raw goes to it’s first commercial break, the Taboo Tuesday logo flashing across the screen for a brief moment. (Commercial Break #1) Coming back from the break, JR tries to go over what had just transpired…but is interrupted as fire explodes from the entranceway, bringing Kane out from the back, a none-to-happy man. He begins to let loose his rage via microphone, telling the whole world of Lita’s loss of their child. The crowd seems mixed on the moment, but Kane begins to scream, showing more emotion than he has since the days of Tori. “Ohhhhh Yeah!” The entire crowd collective jerks their heads as Matt Hardy appears through the entranceway, limping heavily. JR loses his mind, spouting off that he thought Matt was going to be out of action for a few months after Kane’s treatment of him. Matt yells down at Kane about how he ruined his life, and how the child was his. Kane begins to get angry, threatening the injured Matt Hardy to come in and fight. But Matt has another idea. From behind Kane comes two masked figures, with one rushing in with a chair as another goes toward the top rope. Kane turns and takes a chair to the head as the second wrestler dives from the top, attacking with a huge crossbody. Kane makes the catch, but another hard chairshot puts the big man down, leaving Matt smiling at the bottom of the ramp. As Matt enters the ring and stands over Kane, Lita appears, her face flush as she walks. JR again goes crazy, as Lita was not supposed to be in the arena, but the smile on Matt’s face and the look in his eyes tells the world exactly who got her here. The two masked men remove their masks as Lita slides in the ring with a chair of her own. The two men are SHANNON MOORE AND JOHNNY NITRO?! WHAT THE FUCK?! The crowd is somewhat confused, as is JR, as Lita looks ready to plant a final blow into the Big Red Machine only to turn and CLOCK Matt square in the face! Moore and Nitro turn around and Lita connects with both, dropping them to the canvas. Lita throws the chair to the ground and hovers over Kane. The crowd completely turns, reigning boos on Lita as she tries her best to revive Kane, who does his best sit-up with a smile on his face. Lita smiles as well and the two share a kiss as Kane stands and lifts her off the ground, carrying her out of the ring, leaving Matt, Shannon, and Johnny out cold in the ring. --- JR tries to recap the events that just occurred as the newlyweds leave the ring, but as the two head backstage the camera is there, watching as they pass by various superstars all looking at the smile on Kane’s face before disappearing into their dressing rooms quickly. It looks as though no one has ever seen him this way. Just as the two get to the parking garage, a man wearing all black (including a mask) passes by them in front of the camera, not even stopping to look. Kane and Lita don’t seem to notice as they disappear into the parking lot and JR and King try to figure out if they saw what they thought they saw as they head back to the ring, where Tyson Tomko is on his way to the ring for a IC Title Contendership Match against Val Venis, Maven, and the Hurricane, where the winner would get a Title Match next week on Raw against Chris Jericho! First fall to a finish and here we go… The Hurricane d. Tomko, Maven, and Venis in 8:48 after Christian tried to interfere to help his friend, only to be stopped by Rosey. Neither man made any contact with the wrestlers in the ring, but drew the attention of Tomko and The Hurricane, who screamed over the ropes, prompting attacks by both Maven and Venis, with Venis clotheslining Tomko over the top rope as Maven went for his dropkick, only for Hurricane to duck out of the way and hit the Eye Of The Hurricane as Maven got up, pinning him for the surprise three to the cheers of the crowd. After the match, Hurricane and Rosey celebrate, only to be attacked by Tomko and Christian, only to be saved by Chris Jericho…who shakes Hurricane’s hand as Tyson/X head to the back and Raw goes to commercial. (Commercial Break #2) Back from commercial, Bischoff is seen outside, sitting on a bench and looking toward the arena doors which are heavily guarded. Suddenly, Bischoff is jumped by the masked man, who comes from the darkness and dives over the bench, pulling Bisch to his knees on the concrete. Before he can recover, the masked man sends a SEERING kick to the side of the head and rushes away as security comes running out. Bischoff is left alone and out cold as security hunts the man down and help Bischoff to his feet. JR and King are agast, wondering what the heck is going on, but King immediately fingers Tajiri as the culprit, only for the buzzsaw’s music to hit to signal the next match… a singles match against Rob Conway. It is here that JR lets the crowd know that if Tajiri wins, he and Rhyno get another tag title shot against La Rez, with the stips picked by the fans at Taboo Tuesday. Tajiri d. Rob Conway at 6:21 with the KICK~ in a match that saw no interference from either (thanks to a mid-match camera change to the back, where Vince ordered referees to keep Rhyno and Grenier at bay, who were both standing in his office.) Afterwards, Rhyno celebrates as he rushes to the ring, leaving Grenier ticked off once more and Vince gets the chance to once again pimp the PPV as Tajiri and Rhyno meet in the entranceway. Backstage, security comes to Vince about the masked man, telling him that he attacked Bischoff and they can’t find him anywhere. Vince is only halfway caring towards Eric, but orders another search of the premises. In another part of the lockerroom, Christy and Carmella sit across from each other, both putting on make-up and trying to look their best as JR shills the end of the Diva Search TONIGHT~ as one woman will walk away with a quarter million dollars and a contract. Toward the ring now, as JR uses that moment to segue into the next match, as Stevie Richards takes on Christian, and if Stevie wins Victoria gets a Taboo Tuesday women’s title match with the stips picked by the fans. Christian d. Stevie Richards in 5:03 after interference from Trish caused Richards to walk into the Unprettier. Victoria tried to stop the interference, but failed. Afterwards, Victoria yells at Richards, who simply ignores her and walks away. Victoria can only shake her head as Stevie heads backstage. (Commercial Break #3) Coming back from commercial, Victoria is seen following Stevie backstage and asking what is up, but Richards ignores her, slamming his dressing room door before Viccy can catch up. The door is locked, but the sounds of a beating can be heard, causing Victoria to freak out. She runs for help and finds a few security gaurds, who break the doors down to find Stevie alone and out cold, blood dripping down his forehead. The camera moves around the room and looks for anyone else, but nobody is to be found. Back to the ring, where JR and King are all “omgwtf” as The Coach comes to the ring, bandaged from his “boxing lesson”. He gets to the ring and begins to announce that it is time for the finale of the Diva Search, only to get cut off by the music of Vince McMahon, who struts to the ring with the briefcase of cash and his own microphone. “This is my money and I will make sure it goes straight to the winner and not through any grubby hands.” He looks toward Coach before calling out the two finalists, who walk to the ring one at a time, Carmella keeping her eyes off the booing crowd before Christy appears, drawing a few cheers for her bubbly efforts. The two hit the ring and after a small speech from Vince, it is time to find out who the fans voted for~ “And the winner is…. CHRISTY!” Coach reads the envelope as Carmella and Vince are both in SHOCK, but Carmella is the first to go off the handle, screaming at Vince that she was going to be the one to win and he promised to make sure she did. Vince denies involvement, but Carmella continues to get in his face, going so far to knock him over and take the briefcase, running toward the back. Christy and the Coach follow, but Carmella jumps into a waiting limousine and slams the door. The car pulls off, leaving Coach and Christy alone in the garage, with Coach grinning the whole time. Christy kicks him in the balls and walks back toward the ring. (Commercial Break #4) The quick commercial comes back to Raw with Chris Jericho in the ring with a recovering Vince. “It’s time for a special Highlight Reel! You know I was just backstage getting ready for my match tonight, but I saw what happened and I gotta know Vince…is it true? Was it fixed? Did you fix this like you fixed so much else in your life?” Vince is now angered at Jericho but continues to deny his claim, only for Christy to come back to the ring and get in her own screaming and cursing at the chairman, who threatens to take her contract away. She goes calm, but Jericho jumps right in. “Since Vince is all about the fans, how would the fans like to see Vince get a dance!” Vince cheers up and the music hits, but before Christy can get to far in her improptu dance, Jericho cuts her off and knocks Vince into the ropes before doing a little Jericho Juke and Jive and kneeing the Chairman in the back of the head, dropping him down to the canvas. Jericho and Christy celebrate a bit as they head to the back, leaving Vince down in the ring. Backstage, security asks Stevie what he saw, only for him to be very vague, citing only a black mask. They continue to push him, but that is all the information they can give. In the ring, Vince is still recovering only to come into contact with a still angered HHH, who spends the few minutes questioning Vince’s actions, only for Randy Orton to come from the back. Orton and HHH exchange words, and just before the two can fight, McMahon finally gets recovered enough to offer up a rematch next week on Raw…Orton vs. HHH for the championship. The loser of the match will NOT be eligible for the Main Event of Taboo Tuesday. Orton seems pleased as he walks away from Hunter, who is once again left angry in the ring. (Commercial Break #5) This longer break comes back in the midst of entrances, as Chuck Palumbo heads to the ring for a match against Rosey, as the former S.H.I.T. looks to get a little revenge for Palumbo breaking Hurricane’s nose a few months prior. JR mentions that this would have been Hurricane’s match, but Rosey took charge…wanting to show loyalty and giving Hurricane a chance at the IC Title. Chuck Palumbo d. Rosey in 5:47 after Val Venis interfered to help Palumbo, tripping up Rosey and leading to a Palumbo roll-up. Hurricane comes to the ring afterward, giving Venis and Palumbo a chance to escape into the crowd. Backstage, Vince is in his office and changes Jericho’s upcoming match (a non-title match against Rhyno) to a handicapped match against Rhyno and Shawn Micheals. Chris Jericho vs. Rhyno/HBK ended in a no-contest after 12:31 (including a commercial break) and after a good showing from all three men…when Christian interfered and attacked Jericho just after he had taken out Rhyno with the enziguri. HBK looks to catch Christian with the SCM, only for Christian to block and hit the Unprettier on Michaels. Afterwards, Christian poses with the IC Title, only to spot Edge watching from the entranceway. The two share a staredown before the scene switches backstage where Hurricane confronts Palumbo and Venis, but the two simply laugh the superhero off and walk away. Hurricane calls them chickens and asks for a tag match the next week. They accept. JR and King talk about the next match and go over a few of the more recent developments leading into Taboo Tuesday. Backstage, Todd Grisham interviews Matt Hardy, Shannon Moore, and Johnny Nitro, who reveals that he got his job back thanks to Vince McMahon and Matt Hardy, and now that Bischoff is suspended he chose that night to come back, but wasn’t prepared for the attack from Lita. Matt can’t wrestle, but offers Moore and Nitro to take on Kane next week. Moore and Nitro aren’t too happy, but Matt then offers it No DQ, and again they aren’t happy, but Matt looks to have a plan as Raw goes to commercial. (Commercial Break #7) A Simon Dean infomercial airs as Raw comes back from commercial with William Regal standing at the ready in the ring to face Sylvan Grenier after the recent actions between the teams of Regal/Benoit and La Rez, but with Benoit otherwise detained with the main event, Regal wants a little revenge. Sylvan Grenier d. William Regal in 7:07 after a huge carry job from Regal, who made Grenier look better than normal. Grenier won after Conway interfered. Afterwards the two connected with Au Revoir, only to be chased off by Rhyno/Tajiri. The cameras followed the chase of La Rez by Rhyno/Tajiri through the crowd and under the seats. La Rez hides around a corner as Tajiri/Rhyno pass them by, only for both men to go flying from their hiding place and into the hall. Rhyno and Tajiri run to attack, but smoke appears from all around and when it clears…all four men are down. JR and King are befuddled out of their minds as cameras stay backstage, but the hall they are in is empty besides the security that has appeared meant to separate the four. They give medical attention as the cameras switch back to the ring… where it’s almost Main Event Time! (Commercial Break #8) It’s time, it’s time… As Raw comes back, JR and King reshow the La Rez/Rhyno/Tajiri incident and then the introductions begin. First the faces, then the heels. Chris Benoit, Randy Orton, and Shelton Benjamin d. Evolution in 22:34 after Randy Orton pins HHH in the middle of the ring after an RKO. The match saw many nearfalls, especially between Shelton and HHH, along with many figure four teases, both from Benoit and Flair. As Raw comes to a close, Orton is jumped by Batista, who was on the outside taking care of Benjamin. Batista destroys the faces almost by himself, leaving only a hurting Orton to HHH, who promptly Pedigrees him straight into the World Championship Belt. Storylines After Raw: Taboo Tuesday - HHH or Orton vs. ???? – World Heavyweight Championship - La Rez vs. Rhyno/Tajiri – World Tag Team Championship The Diva Search … Christy vs. Carmella/Vince(?) Steviekick 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2004 Pretty good booking, especially the Kane/Hardy/Lita stuff.
JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2004 Cool stuff, but first a few criticisms: -Seven matches, all at least 5:00 long, including a 22:00 main event is just too much for a two hour show that also includes interviews, angles, etc. You just wouldn't be able to have that much on one show. -Palumbo/Rosey in a 5:00 match on RAW? I see where you're going with the story, but that would just kill the crowd. -The Hardy stuff with Nitro and Moore was very cool, but you should have just left it at that. Having Lita turn on them and aid Kane was too much all at once. Ending with Kane getting beaten down by Hardy's surprise help would have been enough for one segment, allowing Lita to turn later in a more "important" situation. -I have no idea where you're going with the Jericho/Vince/Christy stuff, but I guess that's okay. -You have Hurricane booked in an IC title match and a tag match for next week. Maybe you realize that though. Also, I would have booked the handicap match with Jericho as Jericho vs. Christian and Tomko, and put Rhyno in the IC title qualifier match. HBK teaming with Rhyno just doesn't make much sense. Good stuff though getting people involved and creating lots of interest with mystery men, new angles, etc. This show would be better to watch then what we're going to get tonight, I'm sure. The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2004 I typed this pieces at a time, so I did make a few mistakes here and there, the Hurricane tag match comes to mind. The Rhyno thing was me not knowing what to do with Jericho and other such things, and I mark for the guy. I will fix some of the problems next week, and mention any changes in the intro to that piece. Also, I do know that there were alot of long matches, but I was counting on a 2:15 show, not 2 hours. And hell, I just wanted more wrestling than normal, I guess.
JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2004 So who's the mystery man? With a kick like the one he dished out, I immediately thought of Low Ki.
Guest Real F'n Show Report post Posted September 20, 2004 So who's the mystery man? With a kick like the one he dished out, I immediately thought of Low Ki. Same here. That would be pretty cool. Good stuff, are you planning on doing this with Smackdown too, or just Raw?
