pochorenella Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 Jericho's the most over face on Raw Shawn Michaels was cheered on more this last RAW, so I think they go almost neck with neck with the fan support.
Guest Loss Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 Agreed. I also think it depends on the market. Jericho is going to get more cheers in places like Chicago and Minneapolis, and obviously in Canada, while Michaels will probably have more support in the South and Midwest, and most likely the Northeast as well since he has so much headlining history there.
Guest JoeyStyles Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 Except in NYC because they can't stand him(HBK).
KTID Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 I don't get the point of this thread. Why is "Y2J won't wrestle HHH at Taboo Tuesday" worthy of discussion? Why would they be wrestling? Y2J (vs Christian/Michaels) and HHH (vs Orton) are both already in separate fueds leading to the PPV. I think the point of the thread Morrissey, is the current conspiracy theory is that the WWE gave Jericho the Intercontinental title simply so he could not be voted to face HHH for the title. That doesn't make any sense. HHH is in a world title fued with Randy Orton, and has been for a month or so now. You're saying that it is a conspiracy theory that Jericho was given the IC title so that he can't face HHH for the World title? You are aware that WWE don't have to justify why you're favourite wrestler isn't in the world title picture at any given time.
CanadianChick Posted September 23, 2004 Report Posted September 23, 2004 But it really doesn't matter who's feuding with whom, for the purpose of this PPV. It's what the fans want, period. And since Jericho won't be an option for a World Title opponent, and same with HHH with the IC belt, even if the fans wanted to see Jericho/HHH, they couldn't. I'm just wondering how they'll divide up the contenders for each belt. Like, if they put HBK as an option for IC, and Shelton as an option for World, does that make sense? It does witht the direction of the story, but HBK is much more established than Benjamin.
Lil' Bitch Posted September 23, 2004 Report Posted September 23, 2004 Never stopped them from doing World Champion Vs. IC Champion before.
Australian Pride Posted September 23, 2004 Report Posted September 23, 2004 They could do a WM10 type story where Y2J gets injured on the way to losing the IC title, but then heroically comes back and defeats HHH. Can't see it happening, especially the 'defeats HHH' part but it would be a good way to get him back in the main event spotlight. Have Edge beat him in the IC title match after a heel turn and some help from Christian, followed by a big beatdown (which is later revealed to be orchestrated by HHH). HHH comes to the ring for the main, but Jericho doesn't answer his music. At about a ref's count of 8 Jerichos music hits and the match is on.
Guest Super Pissed Smark Posted September 23, 2004 Report Posted September 23, 2004 Does anyone know if "End this Match" or "Spanish Table" will be options?
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted September 23, 2004 Report Posted September 23, 2004 Besides HHH/Jericho, there's not a match I want to see. Unless fans can vote for stipulations too. In that case I'd want Flair v.s. HBK ironman, and Christian v.s. Jericho in a barbed wire/hallogen light texas death. The other two hours of the card Buck Naked Matches between divas. Flair in an Iron Man right now would be a sad site. But who knows... Flair would probably prove me wrong and go out and have a **** match just to show himself that he still can perform when challenged.
2GOLD Posted September 23, 2004 Report Posted September 23, 2004 Raise your hand if you want Chris Jericho to get the pedigree on PPV and lose the IC title to HHH? Or have the main event end in DQ or No contest? This is a PPV, not RAW. And you know Jericho would have no chance in hell of beating HHH for the gold. Either way, HHH would have left with two belts. I consider this a blessing in disguise. Let HHH pedigree someone else for his belt.
KTID Posted September 23, 2004 Report Posted September 23, 2004 Flair would probably prove me wrong and go out and have a **** match just to show himself that he still can perform when challenged. Yes, he can just go out there and do something he hasn't done for almost 15 years whenever he feels.
