Lois, Lana and Chloe.....oh my

Best parts:

- possessed Lois: "Look at these!" *handles own breasts*

- bloody finger Lex

- Clark: "It was magic."

Martha: "I'm sure it was."

- Any other Lex scene

What, no mention of possessed Lana's reaction to finding out Lois wasn't a virgin?

Oh yeah, that too.

As well as the scissors not cutting Clark's hair

I haven't been watching Smallville this season because LOST takes up the 8 timeslot on Wednesdays for me. I actually didn't really watch any of season 3, but I caught the last 3-4 episodes of last season. I thought the show was taking the right steps away from the problem of season 1, "monster of the week" crap, and had more of a season storyarc.

But since I am home for winter break, I have a faster computer, faster connection and speakers, I have been downloading some shows. I watched Veronica Mars first, which is a pretty good show, and now I am on Smallville. So far I have seen the first four episodes and even though they have kept me watching, I am a bit dispointed.

It seems they have gone back to the "monster of the week" crap that annoyed me about season 1. I would think that since they are so far into the series, they would move past that a focus on the season storyline. I'd rather learn more about the Superman mythology than what the cheerleaders are putting in the water.

Plus they rushed what happened at the end of season 3 WAY too fast. Why couldn't they have Chloe missing for more than one episode? Lois was awesome and they should have kept her around a lot longer too. (Yes I know she will be back, but she was a great new edition to the cast.)

I really hope they don't answer the tattoo on the back of Lana till late late season 4. That is something they should build on instead of telling us right away.

While the show does have me hooked, it hasn't grown from the earlier seasons. A pretty big disapointment if you ask me.

And I wonder what they are going to do next year. Usually in TV shows when the cast graduates from high school and goes to college, the show gets a sudden boost. I only can hope this will happen to Smallville.

What happened to Pete by the way? They haven't metioned him at all, unless something happened to him in season 3 that I missed. I hope he died, if anything.

They made him too central with the secret, yanked his chracter around, and then pulled him out. I hated the way he was treated.

They really resolved things too quickly at the start of this season. They left a bunch of cliffhangers and just settled them so quick.

Yeah no kidding I think the worse ep was when Pete became a street racer. Besides the fact the show was like a cheap Fast and the Furious Pete acted so out of character. And then they talk about how their friendship has changed because of what happened at the end of it.

Not that it mattered because at the time they were barely together on screen for more the 5 minutes and the afterwards it was barely touched on again. And the they have Pete admitted that he's in love with Chole and they never talk about it again. It was for the best that he was written out of the show.

I'm actually quoting myself here and saying that I was wrong.

They have moved away from the "monster of the week" crap and focused on the overall story arc. I am pretty sure it is the stones and what will come of it.

I just watched "Spell," the one where Lana's body gets taken over my Isobel. Unless they have more plained, I wish they had waited to turn Lana into Isobel because it should have been built up longer.

Plus they should have had Isobel being Lana a lot longer than one episode. It just felt really quick and they could have done a lot more with it.

I only have two episodes left, "Bound" and "Scare," before I have caught up. It is too bad that LOST is on at the same time.

I saw a preview promo tonight during Smallville which featured teasers for several WB shows this season.

Apparently, Clark is going to get married this season to Alicia (from Season 3).

Wait wait wait, ALICIA? Teleportation, stalker hottie? Last time we saw her wasn't she doing a Carrie impression with a can of red paint? I guess she gets out of Arkham or wherever and revives her Fatal Attraction-ness on Clark. That's fine though, she's cute, somewhat interesting, and will hopefully toture Lana at some point during the episodes she's on (2 according to IMDB).

New episode tonight. Judging by the teasers that I've seen, it should be a pretty good episode.

Episode synopsis from the WB:

Claiming to be cured, Alicia (guest star Sarah Carter) is released from Belle Reve hospital and comes to Smallville to rekindle her relationship with Clark (Tom Welling). Initially skeptical of Alicia, Clark finds himself enjoying a relationship with someone who knows his secret, but when she pushes for more he hesitiates, causing her to use red kryptonite on him. "Bad Clark" emerges and whisks Alicia off to get married in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, Lana (Kristin Kreuk) decides to have sex with Jason (Jensen Ackles) in order to win him back.

This episode made my head hurt.

"You tried to kill me, I forgive you."

"Oh look you drugged me and married me even though you knew I wasn't in my right mind. I forgive you."

"You took a bullet for me even though no one would believe the guy if he said I caught it. Cool!"

I guess ultrahorniness makes you very forgiving.

Chloe was deflowered by JIMMY FRIGGIN OLSEN? I may have to hunt down and hurt Miles, Gough and Millar for this. That and for making Lana and Jason so goddamned boring.

BTW, the Kent folks really need to lighten up. They know that red Kryptonite makes Clark not give a crap about anything. Why bitch at him when (/Snitsky mode on) IT WASN'T HIS FAULT! (/snitsky mode off)?

Don't get me wrong. Any episode that has Sarah Carter running around in lingerie (especially the white wedding gown outfit) isn't all bad. Just didn't really make much sense with some of the leaps of reasoning.

Pretty disappointing episode, in my opinion.

I think the Clark-Alicia storyline would have worked a lot better if it was played out over the remainder of the season, instead of having everything happen in one episode. A several episode arc would have allowed the relationship to develop in a more logical fashion.

Next week's episode looks like it could be decent. Despite the way it was played out last night, I'm still interested in seeing how the Alicia storyline plays out. Oh yeah, there's also that whole "somebody else finds out about Clark's secret" thing too.

Mother fuckers...they killed off Alicia.

Yea..I know, sucks in a way, but in another way...good.

I also sort of hate Chloe knowing, 'but not knowing'. I think it might be more interesting if she actually told him she knew. She should have just told him at the grave. (btw, damn they buried her ass fast :P ) It'll be pretty interesting to see how she keeps in hidden though, considering already she's freaking, especially when in the presense of lois.

I'm disappointed that Alicia was killed so fast and off-screen. I thought that the character had more mileage in her and could've had some interesting plotlines. Oh well.

Well this episode felt kind of like it was out of the timeline. I thought the girls at the beginning of last week's episode said that Clark had ALREADY gotten his ride from Met U. Plus, Clark got over Alicia's death pretty quick.

Anyway, I wasn't really feeling this episode. College football's crooked, yeah yeah. The poor football players are pushed to the breaking point blah blah. The only good thing for me that came out of this episode was the writing back in of Erica Durance. More Lois = happy me.

Another meh episode in a meh season.

And this whole Jason/Jason's Mom/Lana's Witch storyline is the least interesting thing they've ever done on the show.

They're pretty far into the season for it to still be this bad. It needs to get better pretty soon.

Yeah I've been pretty disappointed with this season. Nothing is going on except Lana Lang. ENOUGH WITH LANA PLEASE! She should be a barely above secondary character, revolving around Clark and Lex's interaction.

Although I am keeping the episode on DVR for a while so I can see Lois run down the stairs. She was very....bouyant...in that scene.

With the exception of "Run," this season has been disappointing.

So far, tonight's episode has been one of the worst of the season. The Lana-Isobel storyline doesn't interest me at all.

I REALLY wish Smallville would stop focusing on the witch plot and devote more time to Clark learning about his alien heritage. There are still so many unanswered questions about Krypton and Jor-El. There's even been speculation that the voice in the cave claiming to be Jor-El (or his essense, to be exact) is actually something else (The Eradicator, Zod, Brainiac, ect).
