AmazingRen 0 Report post Posted September 25, 2004 After they canceled last week it should've been a wake up call for TNA to get the ball rolling and stop with the squash matches and start having longer matches, making characters, and create storylines to hype the "Victory Road" PPV in case they have to cancel again, but instead of giving the wrestlers who wrestle a storyline they waste it by giving it to Dusty. Now that another Hurricane is coming to Florida they might have to cancel again.
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2004 Maybe it should have been a wakeup call for TNA to find an area and tour within 5 or 6 venues instead of putting all of their eggs into one basket. But wait, it's TNA. Duh.
Guest MikeSC Report post Posted September 26, 2004 Honestly, there are a wealth of OTHER obvious that TNA should have noticed to change things (not least of which, plummeting PPV buyrates). -=Mike
Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted September 27, 2004 I actually made a point about this before they started running in Orlando. First off they don't get paid attendance to the Impact shows. Yeah, real stupid there TNA. Also, because of Florida and the fact that hurricanes come there often........they knew this is a possibility and if they didn't........well, they are TNA after all. This is the kind of stuff that seperates the TNA's from the Vince MacMahon's on a intelligence level. Vince WOULD take stuff like that into consideration and TNA doesn't apparently put that much thought into ANYTHING.
Guest TDinDC1112 Report post Posted September 28, 2004 The person that is keeping TNA alive is Dixie Carter. She wanted to move to Orlando, not the Jarretts, so it's kind of a catch-22.
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2004 So they could have easily went "Dixie, we might be able to get a more live crowd in Florida, but we'd also make NO money as opposed to the small amounts of money we are making, and we'd most likely have to cancel some shows because of weather." If Dixie laid out the ultimatum of going to Orlando or pulling Panda's funding, then I can understand TNA going there, but if she just went "hey, Orlando's pretty"? Fuck 'em. I stand by my "stick to a territory" idea.
TheBigSwigg 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2004 I agree with Laz. They should claim a territory and travel around to build an audience. Staying in Nashville and then moving to Florida was a horrible idea.
Guest MikeSC Report post Posted September 28, 2004 Let me agree with the previous two. TNA IS AN INDY FED. They need to act like it. -=Mike
Magus 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2004 But if they did that, they'd actually be... y'know, THRIVING. By pretending to be the next big thing, TNA is actually killing itself. I honestly don't think they have much time left before they go the way of MLW.
