LatinAssasin Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 Ok, I saw the Butterfly Effect a few weeks ago, and later realized what the title meant. Then I remembered back to about the 6th grade where I read a story about some dinosaur safari where people would go back in time to shoot dinosaurs that are going to die anyway. Some dude steers off the path, squishes a butterfly and changes the future. The Simpsons used this on one of their Treehouse of Horror installments. Can someone tell me the name of that story that inspired all this?
Der Kommissar Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 Wikipedia definition of Butterfly Effect I was curious so I looked it up. Supposedly, it comes from a Ray Bradbury short story called A Sound of Thunder.
LatinAssasin Posted September 28, 2004 Author Report Posted September 28, 2004 Thanks, man. Much appreciated.

Supposedly, it comes from a Ray Bradbury short story called A Sound of Thunder. I think I remember that one. They go back in time, step on a butterfly, and when they get back everything is greyish and lacks any sort of vibrant colour.
Kaertos Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 I seem to remember reading on Chud.com that they are working on a movie of this story right now. I'll see if I can dig up the link.
