HollywoodSpikeJenkins 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2004 A wrestling school has reopened in my area and I plan on calling today for some information. Just so I don't seem like a total idiot, what information should I ask for over the phone? I plan on visiting this weekened to check the place out.
Guest W_Hillard Report post Posted September 28, 2004 How much do lessons cost? (Probably between $2500 and $5000) Is there a payment plan? (More likely than not) What's the down payment? (Usually right around $500) Do they have weight training equipment? (Most do.) How many days a week do they train? (Usually on Sundays) Could you watch a training session before making a decision? What talent have they trained in the past? Can they hook you up with a company that sells ring gear? ________________________________________________________ I looked into schools once. Good luck. Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2004 Also be sure to ask who the primary trainers are for reference sake (for example, if you were to be in New England and were looking at SlamTech? Despite the fact that most of the workers they've produced haven't been AMAZING, Bob Evans is a really good trainer, as he emphasizes psychology and selling, which are two things that all of SlamTech's workers have been very good at, and two things most indy workers these days are terrible at). Other than that, go with Hillard's suggestions.
JHawk 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2004 You should also ask if they have their own fed or a relationship with a local fed. It'd be nice to know if you're actually going to get to put your training to use or if you're possibly just giving away your money.
