Dr. Tyler; Captain America Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Bush doesn't seem to have very much energy and is pausing too much. Kerry sounds better, but neither one has said anything substantial so far.
Guest MikeSC Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 The President taking his time on his answers is a pretty clever tactic, something Clinton tried to warn Gore about. Watching Kerry stretch an answer out when he has more time is not pretty. -=Mike
JoeDirt Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 I want to see this break down and end with one of them giving the other a powerbomb through a Jim Leherer's table.
Guest MikeSC Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 "Um... anyway... that's a different debate." Which, according to the rules they agreed to, is a fact. -=Mike
Dr. Tyler; Captain America Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Look on his website, then. It's not too hard to do.
Guest GreatOne Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Bush is shifting in his seat, as he Kerry blasts his domestic cuts. This is GREAT. Yep, only the topic is The War on Terror/Homeland Security.  Not the best of time for Kerry's premature election syndrome to flare up.
Dr. Tyler; Captain America Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 "Um... anyway... that's a different debate." Which, according to the rules they agreed to, is a fact. -=Mike I think the point was more that it sounded awkward and stupid.
Guest MikeSC Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Look on his website, then. It's not too hard to do. Seeing how Kerry is trailing --- he needs to make it clear now. -=Mike
Guest TheLastBoyscout Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Bush has more verbal tics than a high school full of teenage girls. Â "We didn't need that tax cut, we needed America to be safe." Â OWNED
JoeDirt Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Let's not have this break down into partisan bickering...that's for every other topic in this folder. Â I want to analyze how they're doing and how this will effect the election, if at all.
Dr. Tyler; Captain America Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Wow, Bush needs to stop stuttering so damned much.
Guest BDC Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Bush has more verbal tics than a high school full of teenage girls. "We didn't need that tax cut, we needed America to be safe."  OWNED Wrong. Tax cuts were pre 9/11.
Guest TheLastBoyscout Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 "Um... anyway... that's a different debate." Which, according to the rules they agreed to, is a fact. -=Mike "Let...me...uh...first tell you..." Â What a fucking dunce. Â And you're missing the point, he sounds like a moron.
teke184 Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 OK, THAT question threw Bush a bit at first. He stumbled for the first 30 seconds. (This is the "When will the troops come back?" question)
Downhome Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 *sigh* Â I want to see John Kerry, the man, explain his plans for change himself. I do not want to see it on paper, I want to hear it in his own words. Â That better?
Guest MikeSC Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Wow, Bush needs to stop stuttering so damned much. He's always stuttered. I doubt anybody cares. Â However, it'd be lovely if he'd actually answer the question rather than meander on about a whole lott nothing. Bush's answer, while possibly correct, just is meandering. -=Mike
Dr. Tyler; Captain America Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 He's trying to talk himself out of the question, but he's stumbling over himself. Â He really hasn't answered the question.
JoeDirt Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Is anyone reading this thread actually an undecided voter? Â How about just a "soft" supporter of one side or the other?
Guest TheLastBoyscout Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Bush has more verbal tics than a high school full of teenage girls. "We didn't need that tax cut, we needed America to be safe."  OWNED Wrong. Tax cuts were pre 9/11. Well, he certainly hasn't done much in the way of good tax policies when he continues lower tax cuts while we have two countries occupied worldwide."
Guest GreatOne Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Wow, Bush needs to stop stuttering so damned much. I'm a bit more concerned about the actual, y'know, message. Â Hell go back to bashing whoever can't cut a decent promo on RAW if you want to rant on stuttering.
Dr. Tyler; Captain America Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 I agree, but you can't really do that in 90 seconds. Â Jesus, Kerry, stop the useless pandering. STFU and answer the question.
Guest MikeSC Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 "Um... anyway... that's a different debate." Which, according to the rules they agreed to, is a fact. -=Mike "Let...me...uh...first tell you..." Â What a fucking dunce. Â And you're missing the point, he sounds like a moron. You know, there are posts elsewhere to post in right now, since we're trying to avoid petty bitching. -=Mike

Hell go back to bashing whoever can't cut a decent promo on RAW if you want to rant on stuttering. Bush is repeating the same platitudes he has since September 12th, 2001.
Dr. Tyler; Captain America Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Whoa, wtf is Kerry talking about? Â I stopped listening for a second, but I thought the question was about when to bring the troops home.
Guest MikeSC Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 He's trying to talk himself out of the question, but he's stumbling over himself. He really hasn't answered the question. I think he answered it --- just not terribly well.  Unfortunately, Kerry referring to the troops as "occupiers" --- accuracy be damned --- is horrible. And trying to paint this as a war for oil is tragic. Kerry can answer much better than this.  And service mention #2. -=Mike
JoeDirt Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Other allies helping! Kerry said something specific he'd do! Â
Guest GreatOne Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 Oh wow, ANOTHER backhanded Vietnam reference!
