Taxi will have a pretty good opening week but I think it'll die off fast. It's opening in more screens then any other movie that week.

Raise Your Voice is interesting. It's only opening in 2,200 screens and it has to deal with Shark Tale. I really think New Line should've waited until late October to launch the movie but I guess they wanted it to coincide ASAP with Hilary's new album.

Shark Tale's been getting crucified by the critics so I'm expecting a second week dropoff.

I think Raise Your Voice will open between 10-13 and top out about 35-40. It won't do as well as A Cinderella Story due to ACS having the help of kids being out of school and being able to see the movie on weekdays but the movie cost nothing to make so it should be another profitable venture.

Well, not really. It's a children's movie, they don't read reviews. I'm sure there are still plenty of kids who've yet to see it, and they will drag their parents along with them. There will be a second week dropoff, but nothing major.

Also, good to see Ladder 49 doing well in it's opening weekend.

Next week:

1. Shark Tale

2. Friday Night Lights

3. Ladder 49

4. Taxi

5. The Forgotten

6 or lower. Raise Your Voice

But there was no competition this week. So you have to assume that everyone who wanted to see Shark Tale saw it this weekend.

If its just a kiddie movie then it will drop off fast. Shrek 2 and Nemo were able to also hook in adults which is how they made all that money.

Raise Your Voice will do better then the Forgotten. Friday Night Lights won't hit it out out of the park- it's one of those movies that will build an audience.

I hope Shark Tale goes away quickly. Will Smith must be stopped.

First Daughter's BO makes me chuckle. Maybe they could have, you know, waited a little longer before rehashing Chasing Liberty?

Taxi has got to bomb. Come on, who the hell would go to a movie starring Jimmy Fallon?

Actually they made both movies at the same time and were going to release them at the same time.

First Daughter blinked and pushed it back.

Jimmy has a LOT of fans, Queen Latifah has a lot of fans and the movie plays to everyone. It will do well/solid week 1 and then drop off

I stand with my predictions. Friday Night Lights should have a good opening, i'd say strong word of mouth could keep it in the top 10 for a good amount of time.

They would go see see a movie starring Queen Latifah.

What's with all the Will Smith hate?

Uhhhhhh but why?

Friday Night Lights will do well but it has a lot of competition with the postseason and football. It's going to build through word of mouth and as football excitement rises.

And I don't get why you think Raise Your Voice will do so badly. Hilary's new CD and John Corbett's retirement are a lot of free press for the movie and I think it should open around ACS. It won't do 6 million.

Nobody, the will be a carried by the Queen Latifiah fanbase. Did the movie Cookout get released yet?

I'm suprise nobody has mentioned Shaun of The Dead moving up. Word of mouth is helping the hell out of this movie. The people that saw it last week, around where I live, have been telling everyone.

Friday night Lights should do really good.

Here's my predictions:

1)Taxi

2)Friday Night Lights

3)Shark Tale

4)Ladder 49

5)Sky Captain and The World Of Tomorrow

6)Shaun of The Dead

7)The Forgotten

8)Woman Thou Art Loosed(WTF is this anyways?)

9)Resident Evil:Apocalpse

10)Raise Your Voice

Yeah, a month ago. But that wasn't a starring role, it was more a cameo.

It was the black movie of the month- of course it didnt make much.

Raise Your Voice #10?? Seriously- what the fuck?

The last movie tailored by Hilary's name made 13.6 opening weekend. I'm not saying it'll be a hit but #10 is just absurd

I'm with Bob on this one; Raise will do well.

But that does depend on the reviews too.

And Taxi just looks like a HORRRRIBLE movie. Ugh, why would anyone want to see it? If the trailer is boring/bad/not funny, how could one see it???

I've heard nothing about the movie, except maybe 2 tv spots. To me, it just doesn't seem to be being pushed as much as ACS.

That's because you probably don't watch programmes that cater to the demographic that Raise Your Voice is trying to reach.

They ran the trailer at every single one of Hilary's sold out concerts.

I don't think it will do as well as ACS at all but #10 is just taking things too far.

Mole- it's a Hilary movie. Critics are going to crucify it like they did ACS. She's critic proof.

Raise your Voice won't do as well as TCS because it now isn't summer time, and there hasn't been nearly the publicity of Cinderella Story. I wouldn't be surprised with 5-8 million tops.

Taxi opens on Wed. now for some unbeknown reason. We're getting it and like Thurs of this past week, we had to change all of our posters for it by hand to say the 6th because Fox things a Wed. movie will work in the fall...clueless.

Were also getting Friday Night Lights, hopefully it does decent.

Weird- Taxi is still opening everywhere else on Friday.

I think 5 million is too low. First Daughter with Katie Holmes only did 4 million and Hilary's much bigger then her.

I think it'll be around 10 mil and be a nice profit for Warner Bros.
