Fox News apologises for lying about Kerry

Good Lord

Sracasm 101 - Black babies, Book Depositories, Governors Mansions, Grassy Knolls etc etc etc = SARCASM

Thems is jokes, duders.

No offense, but they aren't very good jokes. They aren't clever jabs at Bush anymore (if they ever were), they are just irrtating crap. And it does sound like whiny crap when you continually use it as though you are making a point.

But, in your defense, I think Cheesala is the one who has used the Hitler quotes and such, not you. And you never said anything like that about 9/11 to my knowledge, and I've been here a while.

Here ya go greatone. ^ That is why i brought it up. Powerplay made reference to my sig. in THIS THREAD. Consider it explained. I was gonna change it but the Cheney quote is too long.

Resume flip-flopping discussion.

So you felt it necessary to post your 'reasoning' for the second time in five hours?

And that answers my question how?

"The question in my mind is how many additional American casualties is Saddam worth?... And the answer is not very damned many. So I think we got it right, both when we decided to expel him from Kuwait, but also when the president made the decision that we'd achieved our objectives and we were not going to go get bogged down in the problems of trying to take over and govern Iraq.... All of a sudden you've got a battle you're fighting in a major built-up city, a lot of civilians are around, significant limitations on our ability to use our most effective technologies and techniques.... Once we had rounded him up and gotten rid of his government, then the question is what do you put in its place? You know, you then have accepted the responsibility for governing Iraq.... Now what kind of government are you going to establish? Is it going to be a Kurdish government, or a Shi'ia government, or a Sunni government, or maybe a government based on the old Baathist Party, or some mixture thereof? You will have, I think by that time, lost the support of the Arab coalition that was so crucial to our operations over there."

-Dick Cheney, speaking about the Gulf War in 1992

Wow, a quote that's about a different war a dozen years ago.

Newsflash: This is a post-9/11 world. A lot of things that used to be true are true no longer. A change of opinion over the span of 12 years, considering the intervening circumstances, is understandable (and often necessary). Changing opinions in the span of 12 weeks is a different matter.

Mind you, Clinton hammered Bush Sr on not taking Saddam out in the '92 debates
