Perhaps because he is the Vice Presidential candidate, and thus won't receive the same amount of attention in the media as John Kerry, the guy actually running for the Presidency.

It seems much better to not hear about John Edwards at all than it is to hear Dick Cheney mentioned in the same sentences with such words as "scandal", "corruption", "yet another heart attack", and so on.

If Edwards mentions any of those words, Cheney will kill that red herring in no time flat.

The Halliburton/Cheney charges are bullshit. Have been from the get-go.

I don't really hear any charges of scandal involving Cheney.

The corruption charge is bullshit.

And wow- a heart attack joke. That's not posting 'garbage' at all.

I seriously never hear about Edwards doing anything.

Except Iraq isn't a mess, not fought on false pretenses, etc.

Well I hope for Edwards' sake Cheny brings those "facts" to the debate.

Edwards will make those claims.

Facts are but annoyances to lawyers.

The heart attack comment wasn't a joke at all. I find it quite serious that the current Vice President of our country - and one that could remain Vice President for four more years - is in such poor health. Such poor health that he's sometimes forced to shelter himself away from the White House to recuperate and get away from the wear-and-tear of the job. If something were to happen to Bush, we would have to rely on Cheney to run the country. And imagining the health that he's in right now - how can he handle the stress? Do you realize how much of a disaster that could be?

I seriously never hear about Edwards doing anything.

Because, again, Presidential elections are never really about the Vice Presidents. In the grand scheme of things, no one seems to even truly care about the Vice Presidential candidates. Think back years ago. How many campaigns focused on the Vice President rather than the person running for the Presidency? If a campaign ever IS focused on that, it's doomed to fail from the beginning.

Edwards goes on tour around the country, meets people, gives speeches - this is pretty much the stuff the Vice Presidential candidate should be doing. If he IS getting in the news too much, it's probably not for a good thing. As we've seen with Mr. Cheney.

Considering between Bush/Cheney/Rumsfield, and their differing daily opinion on whether Iraq had WMDs and was a threat or not. One says one thing, then another says the opposite, only to correct themselves the next day, only to have the next of the bunch say the exact opposite all over again the following week.

Edwards is a master debater.

Sorry.

Seriously though, he is known here (NC) as an expert debater. I don't think he'll "crush" Cheney though, the VP is an intelligent, well spoken man. Still, don't expect him to take down Edwards either. Trust me, the guy is good at this.

Except they don't do that. Rumsefeld saw how the press was covering his remarks and corrected them.

umm yeah, except they do, do that. Bush was going on about some "threat" Iraq posed, when the very night before Cheney admitted there were no connections between Iraq/Al Qaeda and there were no WMDs. Not to mention Colin Powell and his flip flops on the matter.

They've only said no ties in regards to 9/11. Not no ties, as that is factually wrong.

What's this, the Kerry victory brigade (I was gonna use something that rhymes with Terry Stools Tush Fuckers but I guess that's out now) is charging US with jumping the gun at a Cheney victory here?

Irony.....it's so, ironic :D
