mike546 Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 A-ROD~!!!!!! This guy is a one man machine!!
Vampiro69 Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 Well, I would fire Kyle as soon as his ass reached the dugout
Vampiro69 Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 Good luck to the Yanks in the next round, they may need it
Guest Anglesault Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 And the table is set for the rematch
Bruiser Chong Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 Well, I would fire Kyle as soon as his ass reached the dugout It's not his fault Pat Borders' dumb ass tried to backhand a ball in the dirt.
Vampiro69 Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 The Twins handed the Yanks this game on a silver platter tonight
strummer Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 Waits for the Yankees-Red Sox thread to be started in T-minus 5, 4, 3, 2, 1....
Guest Anglesault Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 That was a definate "OH SHIT" You need to learn how to read the outfielders.
Brett Favre Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 That was a definate "OH SHIT" You need to learn how to read the outfielders. I usually just listen to what the announcers say. Thats of course until an outfielder looks like he's under the ball.
Vampiro69 Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 I think the guy just needs to learn to read the ball off the bat better
The Dames Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 *plays Evolutions music and poses* Bring on the fucking Red Sox. Dames
Slayer Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 Shit I was hoping that even if NY had to win, that it would go 5 so that NY would be worn out more come ALCS time
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 Well, I would fire Kyle as soon as his ass reached the dugout It's not his fault Pat Borders' dumb ass tried to backhand a ball in the dirt. The Goats: Nathan and Borders. The Twins are a greta team, they surprised the hell out of me. They deserve all fo the credit in the world.
mike546 Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 I was scared because it looked Tori and LeCroy from the bat hit it far.

Guest Anglesault Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 I think the guy just needs to learn to read the ball off the bat better I can't read the ball off the bat, never have been able to. I started following fielders relatively recently.

So I guess we'll just ignore Juan Rincon, who gave up four runs, which wound up making all the difference?

The Goats: Nathan and Borders. The Twins are a greta team, they surprised the hell out of me. They deserve all fo the credit in the world. So I guess we'll just ignore Juan Rincon, who gave up four runs, which wound up making all the difference? No they don't. This was exactly like last season and the seasons before ALCS. Win Game 1, lose 3 strait and 4 strait games. Rincon flat out blew it. Ruben Sierra can't hit a 94 mph fastball, instead Juan throws a hanging slider. That, and the fact they couldn't score off the dominate Esteban Loaiza. Stupid, stupid team after they blew the game all tried to hit the big Home Run. Guess what, it doesn't work against Rivera. He doesn't give up homers.
Slayer Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 The Metrodome used to be a huge home-field advantage for the Twins (and having attended a Twins game, it's easy to see why) But they haven't won a postseason game there since the '02 ALCS game 1...

Vern Gagne Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 No he's a breaking ball hitter. Only the very best hitters in baseball can hit a 94 mph fastball. Sierra isn't one of them.
The Man in Blak Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 The fact that Pat Borders was even on the Twins roster should give you a good indication of how well equipped they were for the playoffs. I cringe to think of how differently the series would have gone with Joe Mauer in there. This one sucked. From the phantom tag on Jacque Jones, to Rincon's meltdown...this one was just depressing. But hey, "America asked for it - Yankees/Red Sox", as the wonderful people at Fox said roughly 100 times.
Guest Anglesault Posted October 10, 2004 Report Posted October 10, 2004 But hey, "America asked for it - Yankees/Red Sox", as the wonderful people at Fox said roughly 100 times. Of course they did. What the hell is the appeal in Twins/Angels?
