Vanhalen Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/article/ds16155.html FOX has revised its premiere date for the new season of 24 in January. The "blockbuster" two-hour opener will now air on Sunday, January 9 at 8pm, the same day as the NFC Wild Card game on FOX. The drama's regular time period premiere - Mondays at 9pm - remains as January 10.
starvenger Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 This isn't exactly a bad thing. The football game should be a good lead-in, plus hopefully we'll get a lot of the plot buildup out of the way in the first week. BTW, word is that Tony Almeda will be back for at least a few eps
Vanhalen Posted October 6, 2004 Author Report Posted October 6, 2004 Wouldnt three hours in three days be a bit much though?
starvenger Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 Probably. So what does it mean if it's 3 hours in a 25-hour span?
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 The only news about this is the fact that they are doing back to back nights. Just remember that being backed up to January means there wont be a whole month like the last 2 seasons where there isn't a new episode. It also gave them fewer weeks to get in the 24 episodes which meant that they had to do the 2 hour premiere. I know that they wont do with a 2 hour premiere is a commercial free episode, which sucks, but maybe they can pull off limited commercial interruption or something so that there arent so many commercials.
Guest El Satanico Posted October 6, 2004 Report Posted October 6, 2004 3 hours of a good show in alittle over a day isn't too much. They could do an hour of the 2 hour premiere as commercial free, just like the usual premiere. The first half hour and last half hour can run commercial free, but the middle hour has commercials.
slimm44 Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Mondays at 9? Now that throws off my whole tv viewing schedule Oh well, 24 is back!
Mole Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 I haven't been watching Raw now, so there is NO way I'll watch it in January.
