snuffbox 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2004 Wal-Mart, the censorship capital of music, wants to offer all its cds for 10$ or less. The labels dont like this idea...but I do. And, I personally wouldnt mind the whole censorship thing too much(Ive bought many cds with profanity there anywhere, and it wasnt bleeped - Pearl Jam, Incubus, Etc) And Best Buy would probably follow suit as well...so between the two stores, everything besides underground releases could be alot cheaper. Maybe/Hopefully. Heres the link to the story - http://www.rollingstone.com/news/story/_/i...-player=unknown
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2004 A censored version of an album will only be released if it carries a parental advisory, which it won't if there's only a few instances of profanity. I don't listen to either of those bands, so I don't know, but maybe that's why. That is good though, I buy cds there all the time (as long as they don't need to be censored) because they have a lot of stuff for under $10. Adding the whole collection would of course be better. The Pearl Jam is from "Live On Two Legs' and a few bootlegs...covers of Neil Young's "Fuckin Up" go uncensored. Theres others too...basically, if its not rap or metal, it will probably slide.
