Guest tnamark Report post Posted October 16, 2004 What the heck has happened to Raven? I turned on Impact yesterday and he has always been a freak but now he looks terrible. He used to at least have decent muscle tone but now he has all these stretch marks and he looks terrible. Looks like he is back into the drugs. Why can't he go back to the look that he had with ECW and WCW in the mid-late 1990's? I questioned it before but I can see why TNA would never put the belt on him now. Guest tnamark Report post Posted October 16, 2004 I'm not saying that looks are everything and I don't watch wrestling to admire men's physiques but "the look" in wrestling is a big part of the package along with mic skills and ability to tell a story. Raven has great mic skills and has always been able to tell a story but would you want a guy that looks like that representing your company? But seriously, as much as Raven has been one of my favorite wrestlers in the past few years, he's nearly beyond repair. I give him one more good feud, or else he's worthless. Silence 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2004 The World Heavyweight title division in TNA doesn't have a lot of good wrestlers in it right now, although as much as Raven has deteriorated in the ring, I'd say that Jeff Hardy is a lot worse due to his spotty and sloppy nature and it'll be terrible if he's the one winning the belt from Jarrett at Victory Road. Damn, the only wrestler I can think of that might be a decent TNA World Heavyweight Champion that could easily be put back into the division would be Ron "The Truth" Killings. Abyss isn't bad, but he wouldn't seem like a marketable Champion right now, and Monty Brown still needs some improvement. As for Raven, it doesn't seem like TNA's ever going to give him the belt, so he might as well retire if Raven can't revive himself in some form/his next feud sucks. I'm sure without TNA he'll even get more work done before thinking about quitting. If he lasted all through the late WCW crap days and WWE hardcore "lite" days and still went out there after being fired then he must be in the business until his body goes out.
