Guest NitroJMS Report post Posted October 18, 2004 My mother just told me I received a call Friday night from a "Rodney" claiming to be with the WWE, and trying to take a survey about WrestleMania XX, which I attended. It seems a little late for such a poll and they never called back like they said they would. Did anyone else receive this strange call or know if WWE is tapping into their fan database for surveys again?

Guest Retro Rob Report post Posted October 19, 2004 Yeah, some British guy called me. His accent was entertaining enough, so I stayed on the line. He sounded like Alfred Hayes.
pochorenella 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2004 I got my ticket on Ebay, so I see no way someone would call me about the show. Weird.

Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Report post Posted October 21, 2004 I got a call from an English guy (I am English and live in England, so an English guy ringing me about an American company and an American holiday was strange). The e-mail sent suggested it would be about my WMXX experience, but 90% of the questions were about how much money I spent on food, getting about, hotels, and other things entirely unrelated to WWE and WMXX. Anyway, when he asked if there was anything I would like to add I went on a 10min rant about certain parts of the travel package and he was quite receptive about it. bob_barron 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2004 What was wrong with the travel package? Just curious
Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Report post Posted October 21, 2004 3 points pissed me off: They allowed just a 3hr slot to collect tickets, 'sign-in', and collect clothing at the hotel. That is nowhere near enough for the number of people going. Only because I knew this, I queued 1hr beforehand ensuring I only queued 15mins once they opened up the room they operated from. Some people would be queuing 2-3hrs. Wasting an evening in New York doing that? No thanks. I told them to do it all day when people arrive at the hotel, and have 3 people hanging around all day as we trickle in, and not several thousand wasting several hours in the evening. Second thing was the tickets to the Sunday brunch - there were no allocated seats and it was a free-for-all. Some pathetic people got there at 5am (10am start). I paid a lot of money for the travel package with my friends and only because we signed MTV waivers we could sit next to each other (there was a table with some guys who won an MTV/Spike TV comp and they were being filmed the whole weekend). I said it wouldn't be too hard to number the seats to ensure people could sit next to each other and stop the free-for-all that ensued. I would have been mighty pissed off had I had to sit next to other people for 3hrs during the bunch. The last thing was the chair problem at the event - people were nicking them at the end of the event and some kids went home without a chair. The 'attachment' they used to connect chairs (you are supposed to wait for someone to unattach them) was a crappy plastic thing that could easily be yanked off. So I said they needed to do something about that. I expect them to after spending 15mins telling them everything I did and how much it cost in NYC bar what colour toilet paper I used on my third night. If anyone else does get a call, just ask to give WMXX feedback, as they will ask you about how much money you spent on all manner of things - all of which have nothing to do with WMXX or WWE. had I not wanted to vent about the aforementioned points, I would have treated it like any other phone survey - tell them to waste somebody elses time. Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2004 I bought tickets and eBayed them, never got any call. If they do, my impression of WMXX will be "screw you guys for putting it on the far other side of the country instead of somewhere easily accessable by both coasts." Guest krazykat72 Report post Posted October 21, 2004 I got the call and in addition to the questions about money spent in NYC, I was also asked about the product. I told her I had attended 4 PPVs that year (Rumble, WMXX, Summer Slam, and No Mercy) and that while I'll probably be a fan forever, my enthusiasm was dampened by stupid storylines and no new stars. I remarked "When one of the top guys is married to the boss' daughter, it makes it hard to get others in the spotlight." to which I received a shocking reply of "Yeah...We get that a lot." The entire call alsted about 10 minutes. -Paul Jacobi-
