I've seen them a few times. It used to be, you went to a Modest Mouse show, and you didn't know whether to expect a good show, or a drunk/stoned Isaac fucking around on stage.

Both were entertaining, though I know I don't go see a show for drunken madness.

Apparently, Isaac is done with drugs and everything now though, and when I saw them on this past Good News tour, they were incredible. The two times I saw them, they played a lot of newer material, though they got through the new singles pretty early.

I would definitely suggest seeing them, especially since Isaac has cleaned up. If he's still clean, expect one fucking great show.

I thought that was strange too.

Anyways...enjoy the show!

Well, I just got back home from NYC...and this was one of the best shows Ive ever seen. Modest Mouse played for an hour and a half to two hours (The Buf Medways opened...I liked), nearly ever song off Good News/Bad News and several older tracks. Everything was played incredibly well and Radio City has probably the best sound quality of any venue Ive been to. Very awesome.

And tomorrow I see Manson in Milwaukee :headbang:

I saw Modest Mouse with Les Savvy Fav opening for them (if thats even how you spell that bands name, I'm not a huge fan.) It was a few years ago, and it wasn't THAT great of a concert. They didn't play Shit Luck or The Fruit That Ate Itself, those two being my favorite songs at the time. Still, they're worth seeing, and from what I've heard, their shows are much better now.

I've been told they are a jam band; is this true?

Not really. They jam a bit, but keep the songs pretty much keep them to the recorded versions. I dont know how much they mix up their setlists as this was my first show.

Id say theyre alot more Pavement than jamband.
