Guest CronoT Report post Posted October 23, 2004 With just one public relations event, John Kerry managed to show that he's a real outdoorsman, piss off the NRA, and make Bush look like a moron, which, realistically, isn't that hard. This comes from an article that was reprinted in my newspaper today, 10/22/04. The article, titled "Kerry bags a goose; GOP not impressed", was written by Todd J. Gillman of the Dallas Morning News. John Kerry went out goose hunting with several other people, including Rep. Ted Strickland, D-Ohio. NRA Executive Director Wayne LaPierre was quoted as saying, "John Kerry went hunting today to decoy voters into thinking he's something he's not. His presidency is the nightmare scenario for gun owners." President Bush was quoted as saying, and I am writing this exactly as it's printed in the newspaper, "He can run, he can even hide in camo, but he cannot hide." When John Kerry was asked whether he hit one, he replied simply, "Everybody got one."

At least Kerry actually fired a gun in combat. Also, I'd trust the local newspaper vendor before I'd trust the NRA with any information concerning my vote.
