I'll add another to the voice of not terribly liking the nobody pick-ems. With most of those it doesn't really seem like it's actually people's football knowledge; it's just guesswork, because Utah State and Middle Tennessee State really aren't differentiated to anyone. 2 or 3 is fine for a change, but I really dislike having 8-10 of the picks in that form.

Gotta agree. I mean, how many people have the ability to even SEE those teams play? How can anybody be expected to make more than educated guesses if they've never seen the teams play? I've not seen a single Central Michigan game, nor MTSU, or teams like that. Picking a winner there is honestly nothing more than blind luck and not actual football knowledge whatsoever.

Agreed with the sentiments already echoed in this thread, but in my case it's already taken its toll on my record.

I have no desire to see a game between New Mexico State and North Texas, yet they were the matchup that cost me a victory last week.

You're all a bunch of pussies! I thought it was time to turn up the difficulty of this but maybe I'll ligten it a little next week since so many of you have complained. Anyone actually like all these low level games being throw in? I do want to have at least one game from every conference each week on the pick 'em schedule, yes even the Sun Belt.

I certainly agree that every conference should be represented.

As far as whether I like seeing this many "no-name" schools' games listed, I'll let you know after the results are in.

I like the idea in principle. The only thing that bothers me about it is when you leave out high-profile matchups between relatively even schools like South Carolina vs. Tennessee.

I do. It seems to have mixed it up a bit anyway. It seems like scores were getting higher lately as it was. From the looks of it, most games have a ton of disagreement, so they will either be complete blowouts, or relatively low scoring affairs. I just think it adds a bit more of a challenge to it, and makes it more interesting, in my opinion.

I am also glad I disagree with Vern in only three games. At least I know what to focus on this week.

So, am I gonna get a forfeit this week? I'm not really threatened enough to worry about the win, but that could at least be a good boost to my strength of schedule.

Boise State vs. Hawaii went 69-3, so 72 is the first tiebreaker.

Hey Bored. I know this has been said before, but do you think we can do something to reduce the value of the forfeits? Me and Mike are a combined 13-0 since taking over our teams, and we don't even have a prayer of a chance of being ranked because of these stupid forfeits.

I don't even really get how it affects the strength of schedule, but judging by the full rankings you did that time, it obviously does. Can you at least get rid of whatever component that is that makes the people with forfeits automatically have the worst strength of schedule?

Iggy it's way too late in the contest for that and even then neither of your strength of schedules would be that good and neither of you would crack the Top 2. Just drop it already.

Out of curiosity, what exactly dictates strength of schedule, since we have no ability to decide who we face?
