Guest Banders Kennany Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Twice now in the most recent firing thread, I've heard people mention Viscera as having a job now. I thought this was a one time thing? Anyone have any info on this?
Guest LooneyTune Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 I'm 99.999999% sure that he is simply a one-time shot type deal (plus Christian said in his promo "For one night only") Kinda like how WWE used LOD for a week against RVD/Kane, or like how TNA use to bring in old losers for one shot deals to put people over (except they rarely did put people over). I don't know how Viscera putting over Benjamin looks good though. He's a big fat jobber that everyone hates.
Guest Trivia247 Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Vince in his Medicated state fired 6 members of his roster combined their Salaries and gave Viscera his job back with 6 time more his salary.
Precious Roy Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 or like how TNA use to bring in old losers for one shot deals to put people over BEATUIFUL BOBBY EATON IS NOT A LOSER!
Guest Banders Kennany Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 So it looks like no one knows for sure.
Slickster Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Given the financial state of the company, I'd pay him per appearance; he's got a steady job working in Memphis anyway and I'd rather have him keep that (where he's *over*) than get stuck as a HeAt JTTS for the next year.
Fökai Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 The definitive answer is pay-by-appearance.
Guest fanofcoils Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Maybe a lot of food by appearance.
Guest LooneyTune Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 or like how TNA use to bring in old losers for one shot deals to put people over BEATUIFUL BOBBY EATON IS NOT A LOSER! I was reffering to people who were seriously out of shape (Jim Duggan, Ricky Morton, the Moondog,...MABEL AGAIN, etc. etc.) I didn't get to see Eaton vs. Kash, but I heard it wasn't too good of a match.
jester Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Seriously, when they bring back Mabel for any reason, can they sink lower? Can anybody think of a worse wrestler to bring back, one shot deal or not?
Guest LooneyTune Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Well he's big and fat, and big and fat people are INTIMIDATION CLASS 101 to Vince McMahon. Having him squashed by everyone and their mothers in a 4 minute match isn't too bad, as long as it's not an every day thing. I for one think Gangrel should be given another chance though. Fuck Mabel/Viscera/Barney.
Guest Anglesault Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Seriously, when they bring back Mabel for any reason, can they sink lower? Can anybody think of a worse wrestler to bring back, one shot deal or not? Well, now that he's fired, Test would be a worse choice to bring back.

He was out of shape (he was in "Arn Anderson shape" to begin with, if ya know what I mean), and it wasn't very "good," but it was still cool to see Bobby out there again
Guest LooneyTune Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 Beautiful Bobby has always been one of my "mark" favorites in WCW...pre Blue Bloods and JTTS Hell that is. Funny how they pimped him as a high flyer, yet he had to be at least 240 lbs.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 Seriously, when they bring back Mabel for any reason, can they sink lower? Can anybody think of a worse wrestler to bring back, one shot deal or not? Nathan Jones I would rather sit through a Viscera/Rosie Ironman Match than see Mr Jones wrestle for 30 seconds.

Up until this point Nathan Jones was completely erased from my memory!
Slickster Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 Vis works when he's needed as 'generic big fat heel' for under 3:00 (singles match) or 7:00 (tag). After that, he's exposed.
Toshiaki Koala Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 Kinda like how WWE used LOD for a week against RVD/Kane... What? When did this happen?
Guest LooneyTune Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 Week or two after Kane/RVD won tag titles from Morley/Storm. LOD were coming in for 2 dark matches at the RAW/SD taping, but ended up being part of an angle where Bischoff hired them to beat Kane/RVD.

Hey, I liked Morton vs. Kash up until Morton tried that hurricanrana...!

k thx Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 Evidently not. IIRC it was a month or two before he passed away.
Guest LooneyTune Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 Hawk died at least 6 months after the match took place. He was one of the final "big names" to die in 2003, and I'm 100% sure it was around November.
