Guest Banders Kennany Report post Posted November 7, 2004 I just cracked up when I clicked that link and saw the title at the top of the browser. Oh yeah: I don't see what was so funny about the title? Maybe you laughed because it was so frank how it explained the siaution? What I find amusing is that that is a result of Hurricane Frances yet none of those plants appear to have been pulled from the garden. Don't forget the other three hurricanes, like Ivan. That snake picture is old news because I have seen that trick tons of times, but it's still impressive as hell. I couldn't imagine getting anything that thick let alone ALIVE through my back nose hole and through my mouth. I wish they would put captions under these photos so we could see the back story behind some of these interesting photos. But about the story of the leaves, I thought the man killed his daughter via murder. I figured it would've been he raked the leaves and then she messed up the pile and she got killed for it, but the actual story was thankfully less crazy. If anyone has to die like that it should be in an accident.

MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2004 I just cracked up when I clicked that link and saw the title at the top of the browser. Oh yeah: Im really glad that 6 Flags is putting that at their park in NJ since I was thinking of going there next summer. Top Thrill Dragster (the coaster in the photo) is at Cedar Point in Ohio which isn't really close enough, not to mention the horrendous crowds/lines they have. Guest Shutterspeed Report post Posted November 8, 2004 I don't see what was so funny about the title? Maybe you laughed because it was so frank how it explained the siaution? I didn't ask for your opinion, nor do I care what it is, but click the link yourself and look at the sentence. When something like that is unexplained and hasn't sunk in yet, it has the potential to be laugh out loud funny. As for that rollercoaster, I didn't know that it was a drawing at first until I read the caption. Does anyone know how tall its peak is?
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2004 Top Thrill Dragster's peak is 420 feet off the ground making it the worlds tallest roller coaster (although its kind of a cheap way to get it IMO). It hits 120 mph (in 4 seconds) making it one of the fastest too. Because it goes so fast, the ride only lasts like 16 seconds.

MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2004 This is what SF Great Adventure is getting next spring. Holy crap. My connection is too slow to read the video, but heres the story on the new Coaster: 456 feet tall. 128 miles per hour. With a launch from zero mph to top speed in 3.5 seconds. Yes, folks, those are the official, mind-warping stats for Six Flags Great Adventure's Kingda Ka. And in case you weren't sure, this baby will be, upon its debut in Spring 2005, the world's tallest and fastest roller coaster. Gaze in reverence at the concept illustration below. Like its predecessor, Cedar Point's Top Thrill Dragster, this is an Intamin hydraulic launch Rocket Coaster featuring a signature tower with a 90-degree quarter-turn track twist on the way up and a 270-degree twist on the way down. Unlike Dragster, however, Kingda Ka boasts a 129-foot-tall hill as an added bonus for the trip home. And its station will come equipped with dual-loading switch track, allowing for all four of the coaster's trains to load and unload simultaneously. Im so there next summer, although I think they've hit the wall in terms of coming up with good names for coasters. Kingda Ka?

Ted the Poster 0 Report post Posted November 8, 2004 Kingda Ka goes with the whole jungle theme I guess, but I wonder what it means. Or if it means anything at all. I wonder how much a ticket from Charlotte to that SixFlags costs... *goes to Priceline and Travelocity* Shit. Better start saving.
