kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2004 The stats don't lie, hippie. And frankly, your offense is middle-of-the-road and your competition hasn't been that good. The PA is more like a how-hard-is-your-competition stat than a "defense" one. The biggest surprise in these stats was BX, and if he would have put down a TB for his emergency picks, he might have an extra win or two. And while we're on this topic, if anyone that hasn't submitted a TB for their emergency picks, I'd do it ASAP (you people know who you are). From what I remember last year, people that were doing good in the stats at the halfway point but had a .500 or below record usually got back in the contest during the second half. One guy had a 2-7/or something like that record and came within one game of making the playoffs...

I beat him ya know. And yes, I know it is how hard my competition has been. It's been pretty poor really, even I admit that. Would've been interesting to see what would've happened if BX actually had a TB. Speaking of which, is it possible to change my emergency TB? Oh and btw, that 2-7 you speak of, was me. I only got ousted because fazzle had 7-8-1. We tied at 7-9, I had tiebreakers if I recalled.
kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2004 1) Yeah, if you, or anyone else, want to change your Emergency TB, or some variation of your Emergency picks, I have no problem with it. You just have to PM it to me. I tried getting everyone's emergency TB before the season, but I gave up. If you want to know if you have an emergency TB just PM me. 2) I was talking about razazta (or whatever his name was) who was the Vikings last year. If the Vikings would have won against AZ in real life then Raz would have made the postseason. Oddly enough, the person that bumped Raz out was Vern, who was AZ... kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2004 Yeah, your division record ain't too good, and the AFC West is a tough place, even though two teams are below .500 for now. It's not as bad as the NFC North, but it's still tough, especially if Banky gets some games to go his way and NoGoodNick remembers to submit me an Emergency TB... Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted November 16, 2004 PF and PA are pointless stats in our league, since we play head to head and there's only a few picks that actually matter. Though I am kind of like the New England Patriots of this league. I always seem to edge out by 1 or 2 picks and win.

Fökai 0 Report post Posted November 17, 2004 An update on the power rankings... The top seven teams (or so) got a deeper summary than those who are "middle of the pack" and/or are rising. Regardless, all of the teams that are currently in postseason contention got a "Key Games" factoid, or at least a briefing of who they'll need to beat to get there. I subscribe to the idea of withholding comments on the bottom echelon, although I will be giving credit to a few teams there. Should be up soon, I hope.
