Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2004 I'd guess neither. I imagine he'll be remembered as a stubborn leader who would only be interested in peace if every possible condition leaned his way.

The only kind of peace Arafat knows is the complete destrcution of Israel.
Guest MikeSC Report post Posted November 13, 2004 How will the UN remember Arafat? As a nutso who brought a loaded pistol into the General Assembly. As has been said, it says a lot about Arafat that he asked to speak to the UN carrying a pistol. It says even more about the UN that they agreed to it. -=Mike

He had the holster on, but there was no gun in it I found quite a few sources that listed that Arafat did, indeed, bring a loaded pistol into the UN General Assembly. http://www.keepmedia.com/pubs/Newsweek/200...10032&oliID=213 http://www.magicvalley.com/news/editorials...sp?StoryID=1658 http://www.multied.com/bio/people/arafat.html These websites were found using metacrawler.com and the search paramenters Arafat AND United Nations AND Pistol.
