Raw to return to the "HHH Rules Everyone" Format?

Recommended Posts

But actually, his Superman image doesn't take a blow if his team basically hangs his ass out to dry in the tag match. He can go for like 10 minutes and then be pinned.

Do you seriously think Hunter will let himself be portrayed as someone that his own team would willingly allow to be beaten ? Not to mention that it would make more sense for them to keep Hunter in the match, and let him help them get rid of a couple of guys before they hang him out to dry. A more logical version of your storyline would be for his team to let him get beaten up and save him at the last second, so they keep the numbers advantage. For them to allow their team to lose a guy is totally illogical, even for WWE.

I don't know man. This whole heels gunning for the title seems very odd. They never do this. There is a swerve perhaps somewhere in all of this and I don't think it's Maven. HHH COULD be turning face because when you look at all the scenarios he is placed in the babyface spot with whoever is in power of raw. Now that would tie into Bradshaw coming to raw as a heel.

I'm just thinking back to the rumours around Orton won the title where it stated Orton would turn face and win the title, but turn back heel with HHH turning face. If Bradshaw comes to raw you will have an opportunity to put him in Evolution with HHH being kicked out. It sounds far fetched, but look at Bradshaw's character. He is the epitome of what Flair represents in terms of character. Batista and Flair aren't on even terms with HHH heading into Survivor Series. Hell, Flair wasn't even on raw which makes me think he will be apart of the tradition of "screwjob" at the event. I must say this is interesting.

Considering he's letting it be protrayed that his own team is gunning his ass, I'd say yes.

And it wouldn't make any sense for them to make sure that he stays in the match at all. Why? All of his team mates want to gun him. If you are going to gun him, you have to make sure you can justifiably stand up on your own. Having HHH there means that you don't stand at his level, since HHH is the Cerebral Assassin and can almost always get the job done. By hanging him

Saving him at the last second wouldn't be more logical. If everyone of them is gunning him, then they'd want to humiliate him and make him be paranoid by the fact that they didn't need him at all to win the match and that by beating the opposition, they are all on his level (since the opposing guys are Main Event Calibre, except Maven, but I expect him gone before or after Hunter). I can only see possibly Batista helping him, as I doubt either Snitsky or Edge would bother helping the guy they will be facing later on for a title shot. I mean, seriously, would you help the guy you are going to later face? I know sure as hell I wouldn't.

It isn't illogical for them to lose the guy if the WWE seriously wishes to push the guys as gunning HHH. Coinsidering whoever gets first shot at HHH will want him to be softened up.

If they keep Hunter in the match as long as possible, not only do they make him help take out the opposing team, but they can also be seen to laugh as Hunter gets beaten up. And if Hunter gets beaten up for a prolonged period, with intermittent saves, it softens him up for any future title matches. And that does make sense, even in WWE. If Hunter brings up that they only did it because they need him, then they just laugh in his face, and tell him they just needed him to take all the damage.

Saving him at the last second wouldn't be more logical...I mean, seriously, would you help the guy you are going to later face? I know sure as hell I wouldn't.

If I wanted him softend up for a title shot I was soon to be getting, I'd help him survive for as long as possible, while letting him get beaten up for a while beforehand. Look at KotR 2001, when Shane McMahon helped Kurt Angle into the finals even though he was facing him later that night. He hated Kurt, but helped him out still. Why ? Because he was softening him up.

It isn't illogical for them to lose the guy if the WWE seriously wishes to push the guys as gunning HHH. Coinsidering whoever gets first shot at HHH will want him to be softened up.

It might not be illogical, but it still portrays Hunter as someone that even his own team can't stand, and Hunter would never let himself look that weak, even it did make sense. And if they want him softened up, my scenario makes more sense, because he takes more punishment.

If Edge doesn't help HHH he could loose the match and any shot he'd have of a world title shot.

So, explain to me again why Edge would want to screw HHH over?

"I mean, seriously, would you help the guy you are going to later face? I know sure as hell I wouldn't."

Here's the thing: If Edge wants the title shot he HAS to help HHH win. Your theory about him not wanting to help the man he's facing later has more holes in it then swiss fuckin cheese.

Before I respond to this, I'm going to respond to HTQ by saying I hadn't thought about that scenario and that seems as, if not more so, plausable than mine.

...now then onto Curry. How the hell does that have holes in it?

Please explain to me how he has to help HHH? Each person gets to manage RAW for one week on the winning team. All he has to do to have his title shot is for his team to win. Sure it is Hunter's team, but the stipulation applies to the winning team. Hence, they all can screw HHH over and eat their cake too.

Keep in mind Goldberg got the upperhand over HHH before the PPV last year thus almost everyone on here was expecting HHH to get the title back that night and Goldberg retained. ;)

Well, if they blatantly screw Hunter over and let him get beaten, do you not think he'll use his week of power to get back at them ?

But wouldn't the other three use their powers to fuck over HHH too? They could turn around and use that same power against him. Hence, HHH's threat means notta.

If Hunter gets his turn first, he could just put them in a 3-on-the rest of the roster handicap match, with all three losing their week of power if they lose. If he gets his turn last, he'll get past whatever the other three do, and then do something even worse to them in revenge, so he comes out on top.

I'm quite sure that somewhere along the way, Bischoff would've stated that what they plan happens each week, is only for each week.

Otherwise the whole HHH's team winning and then going for title matches are shot down easily and make the whole point of the match worthless.

They get absolute control over Raw, which would also include the power to give matches crazy stipulations. If any member of Hunter's team screws someone else on their team over, it has to be done carefully, or they'll risk getting shafted if the team wins. It also makes it more likely that Maven could turn heel to help Team Steroids win, because his teammates won't have the power to put him in any matches.

Ok, I haven't been watching WWE for awhile now, so I assumed it wasn't absolute control. So yeah, my plan backfires.

There are two people I can see doing a run-in for this match against HHH's Team:

1) Kane, as mentioned earlier.

And...

2) Shawn Michaels, because he wants to get a piece of Edge as revenge for being screwed in the World Title match.

I think Shawn is most likely to do the run in. Kane can't stick around to do any follow up for at least a month or so, so him doing it makes no sense. With Shawn, at least he can appear for angles and stuff to build to a match, maybe at the next Raw PPV.

Now that you guys brought it up it doesn't make sense for Maven to turn which is what they might do. Seriously, Maven would be taking the chance that HHH's team would be grateful for the gesture of helping them win. How could anybody have this train of thought when everyone on HHH's team is seemingly looking out for themselves? Wouldn't it be easier for him to have his own team win the match to guarantee himself power on raw? Of course, this is wwe logic here.

Unless

That is the key word. They have not given any signs of this. If they have HHH do something similar to what you said on either Heat or the ppv it would still look foolish on the part of Maven. Why would he trust what HHH is telling him? Especially on game night? If they wanted to play this up I guess HHH could have planted dissension between Orton and Maven weeks ago. There is no sign of this at all and HHH's character especially at this moment wouldn't want to bring in someone like a Maven into the group after having problems with Orton who has come back to haunt him. I know where you're coming from, but I think if the wwe does a turn like that in this fashion it really would not help any of the characters. I still think Flair could be the deciding factor. Take note that RAW in the coming weeks(December 6 I think) will come from Charlotte, North Carolina or some other Flair country. They might be setting up something big for that raw concerning Flair.

Well, there was a very subtle hint of potential problems with Maven and Orton after the six-man a couple of weeks ago. Maven went to shake Orton's hand, but Orton blew him off. If they turn Maven, they may replay that moment, and use it as a partial reason for the turn.

Don't you think you're reading into a typical Randy Orton blown spot a little too much?

Blown spot ?

It was a shake of the hand, not a suplex.

There's no spot he can't blow.

Then again if it was a blown spot we'd know because he would try it again and get it right.

Are they coherent enough to have Maven attack his mentor Al Snow if he's going to turn heel?

No one wants Snisky or Maven as leaders of Raw. Yah, Maven is more of a jobber, but Snitsky still has no depth at all. So, no matter what team wins, both guys will need to be covered (and rememebr, Snisky isnt a "team player" so it wont be the HHHShow)

I just had an idea that would make the Maven turn look good. Do the old McMicheal-Horseman turn.

When Maven gets eliminated, have Flair drag him to the back (no physical contact). Then, at the end, with Orton needing his help, he run down and turns. Flair is already back at ringside. He gives him a Evo shirt and there you go.

I don't think they should turn Maven. But if they do, this should be the way.

The real person who will turn? Maven? No.

Snitsky? No

It will be Flair

As much as I hate to say it, if Flair turns and they build a HHH/Flair program for the Rumble, that show will do a monster buyrate.
