EVIL~! alkeiper Posted November 20, 2004 Report Posted November 20, 2004 Such a shame. This version of cpac seemed twice as intelligent as the last one. Perhaps in generations, a cpac will emerge fully capable of translating thoughts into coherant sentences.
KingPK Posted November 20, 2004 Report Posted November 20, 2004 Really, it's funny how the only person that seems to want Pedro on the Yankees is the only guy that can do anything about it. I saw that a NY Post poll had something like 3/4 of the responders say that they don't want him, I'll bet quite a few of the Yankees don't really want him, and even the Yankee baseball gurus don't want him. Pedro's going to have to revert to 1999 Pedro if he wants to get everyone off his back, especially since everyone will lump it all on him if they don't win. Imagine, A-Rod AND Pedro in the same clubhouse......

I'll take him. I really don't see the problem. I'll bet quite a few of the Yankees don't really want him, Well, if they didn't royally fuck up, this wouldn't be an issue, so their opinions mean shit to me.
nl5xsk1 Posted November 20, 2004 Report Posted November 20, 2004 AS, the problem is that he's on the downside of his career, he's not dominant anymore, he wants a long contract, and he wants about $3-5 million more than he deserves. I don't care WHERE he goes, as long as it's not Boston.
the max Posted November 20, 2004 Report Posted November 20, 2004 See, nl5, I'd prefer him to be in Boston, as he seems like the type of player that would sign elsewhere and end up coming up huge against the Red Sox in a key game.

He's better than what we have and anything else we can reasonably get (barring RJ) and I refuse to go into the year with ANOTHER group of number three pitchers.
