Trouble with Microsoft Word

Word is being all glitchy.

 

I just saved a file.

 

I restarted my comp...and Word is being really load to slow. Something about having to convert to a format. When I attempt to open ANY file, I get this...

 

A really slow load-up, and then it puts it on a 10-point font, as opposed to 12 point, on a much larger sized typing area.

 

For the paper I JUST did:

 

Microsoft Word cannot import the specified format.

I didn't look at the link, but if you have a corrupt file, you can often open it in notebook, clear out a couple archival boogers, and save your text.
