iliketurtles Posted November 20, 2004 Report Posted November 20, 2004 I just saw clips of it with players versus players...tons of cops came on the field to break it up. I think Clemson vs. South Carolina, but I'm not sure. They already had a pre-game scuffle...then both benches cleared during the 4th quarter and all hell broke loose.
Lightning Flik Posted November 20, 2004 Report Posted November 20, 2004 Ok, someone get me gifs of that STAT! I'm missing out on all the good brawls.
iliketurtles Posted November 20, 2004 Author Report Posted November 20, 2004 Lou Holtz was right in the middle of it all trying to break it up, too. What a way to go out.
Lord of The Curry Posted November 20, 2004 Report Posted November 20, 2004 I'm not sure if anything will beat the .gif of Jermaine O'Neal KTFO that one Detroit fan who was being helped to his feet. Cheap shot but it looks awesome.
iliketurtles Posted November 20, 2004 Author Report Posted November 20, 2004 If I were you guys I'd turn on ESPN 2 because I have a feeling they will be showing it again soon.

Slayer Posted November 20, 2004 Report Posted November 20, 2004 Everyone's getting ready for Black Friday sales
iliketurtles Posted November 20, 2004 Author Report Posted November 20, 2004 I just noticed the College Football thread with you guys talking about it...I figured it's worthy of making another thread. For those who saw the game, do you know exactly how it started up?
Damaramu Posted November 20, 2004 Report Posted November 20, 2004 This sucks....I don't get the SC vs. Clemson game here. Damn I missed the fight! Hopefully it's shown on College Gameday Final. And I want to see FSU and Florida hook it up in a rematch brawl from last year.

For those who saw the game, do you know exactly how it started up? Clemson defender punched the injured Syvelle Newton after he was downed. -=Mike ...Carolina was more wrong, though...
iliketurtles Posted November 20, 2004 Author Report Posted November 20, 2004 I just saw the football shuffle....crazyness. They just showed the footage from the football game and basketball game from last night on Fox News.

Art Sandusky Posted November 21, 2004 Report Posted November 21, 2004 South Carolina/Clemson is such an overlooked rivalry. Its intensity can seriously match most of the other big ones.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted November 21, 2004 Report Posted November 21, 2004 You know they did it only because the Pacers and Pistons did it first...
iliketurtles Posted November 21, 2004 Author Report Posted November 21, 2004 That's what one of the coaches was saying in a press conference.
Guest MikeSC Posted November 21, 2004 Report Posted November 21, 2004 That's what one of the coaches was saying in a press conference. Tommy Bowden. He's a bit of an idiot. -=Mike ...And, sadly, I'll be stunned if either team actually punishes a player...
teke184 Posted November 21, 2004 Report Posted November 21, 2004 LSU vs. Ole Miss almost broke into brawls several times last night, although a few of those brawls would have been fans jumping the fence to kill the refs. That's a rivalry that used to be a lot more heated, but Ole Miss's decline as a power pretty much deflated that one.

Is there a transcript to what he said?

Clemson coach Tommy Bowden blamed the aggressions on the brawl between the Pistons and Pacers. "For 24 hours they've watched that basketball fiasco on TV. That's all they've watched," Bowden said. "On every major news that thing was covered and they sat there and watched it and watched it and watched it." http://www.freep.com/news/latestnews/pm1482_20041120.htm -=Mike
Vern Gagne Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 This may have been mentioned else where but so what. Clemson and South Carolina will not going to bowl games this year.
