Need PS2 games for girls

Recommended Posts

Anyone have any idea on what some good female based games are?

Disney and similar kids games are often craptacular in reality, so I figured I'd ask and see if anyone had any thoughts

"The Guy Game". And tell her she should be glad you don't make her do that kind of thing.

...Or "GTA" --- and tell her that she's as disposable as the hookers...

There's a few barbie games out there, if anything I'd go with a Ratchet and Clank game or a DDR game. There's a new DDR game that is a bundle of a pad and a game for 54.99.

Damnit, got beaten to the GTA comment.

What do they like? What are their interests? That would give you a better idea on what games to get rather than going "they are girls."

You'll probably end up getting some hippie B. Spears game when what they really want is Mortal Kombat...

Should any girl be subjected to "Barbie"? Honestly?

And "Ratchet & Clank" series are f'n amazing titles. "Up Your Arsenal" owns me on the PS2.

Shame HD Loader doesn't work with it.

Well, around here that's not totally unheard of. Then again, if we go by that, blatant fanservice games wouldn't be considered offensive either.

Girls seem to like RPGs a lot, but they might prefer Square's FF games over actual good RPGs. Of course, Kingdom Hearts could be a good choice as well.

Yeah, I don't think kids this age of either gender would really appreciate the gameplay of a turnbased RPG (well, maybe on the 12yr old end of the spectrum), but Kingdom Hearts would probably be fun for them, especially if they are big Disney fans. Other than that, pretty much any good platformer is fun for kids, like the Ratchet and Clank games, Jak, and Sly Cooper. DDR and Karaoke revolution would be good, providing you can tolerate the noise. Also, Viewtiful Joe is oldschool fun, and the sequel would allow them to play as a female protaginist part of the time.

Hell, I don't, and I'm far older. :D

The only problem is that the PS2 version of VJ isn't out yet--it's supposed to be coming out on Dec. 7, though.

Oh, after I'd gotten Sonic Jam I gave my Genesis Sonic games to some girls I'd regularly babysit, and they loved them, so Sonic Mega Collection Plus might be a good choice too.

From my experiences with girls and games I've noticed that quite a number of them like "The Sims". There's a PS2 version of this game so you could get that but if they've got a computer than spring for the PC version that way they can download skins, furniture etc.

Not to mention that the original PS2 version I played had the difficulty so ratched up that it was impossible to keep your sim happy.

Seriously --- get a girl a game YOU like. It's not like their tastes are a complete 180 in comparison to yours.

Girls would like Halo 2 just fine if you gave them a chance to learn to play (same as guys). Girls would like GTA games.

Girls would like "THe Guy Game" --- never mind. Guys hate that game, too.

There's nothing wrong with fanservice games. I'm a fan, I want service.

I recommend Beyond Good & Evil.

Girls DO like the GTA games...or at least I do. Feeling blue one day, my boyfriend suggested I might feel better if I went on a sniper-spree...indeed I did!

Of course, I'm a lot older than 12...
