Will Cartoon Network get in trouble?

Recommended Posts

So does CN EVER show Looney Tunes now?  I think they even dropped the June Bugs marathon.

I can't really get into any of the cartoons today.  Give me the classics, mofos.  I want to see Daffy's bill blown off after Bugs intellectually bitchslaps him once again.

I'm still a huge fan of "The Scarlet Pumpernickel" where Daffy shoots himself in the side of the head at the end.

Mucha Lucha sucks, and so do you. BRING BACK ULTIMATE MUSCLE!

Oh yeah. Ultimate MUSCLE >>> Mucha Lucha, but Mucha Lucha does NOT suck.

Tiger Mask >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> than Ultimate Muscle or Lucha Mucha

Tiger Mask = not shown in my time. Ultimate Muscle = WAS shown in my time.

Man, for a while, Saturday morning cartoons didn't suck. I'd even watch Sonic X, which made the original Sonic The Hedgehog cartoon seem like a Biblical epic by comparison, in between the new TMNT and UM.

Now all it has is the new TMNT, and they keep changing its time for no real reason (it has a diehard cult fanbase, it's popular even today with young kids, and older fans will watch the new show, as older fans that were also fans of the comics prefer the newer show over the classic), so I never get to see it (that, coupled with working most Saturday mornings, too).

It's been moved or taken off a few times in the past for Fox Box special events such as marathons, but for the most part it's on Saturdays at 10 AM Eastern Time.

Reruns are shown on CN during the week at 5:30 PM Eastern Time.

Sadly, my area (Hoover, Alabama) doesn't get the Fox Box, so I have to get my TMNT fix weekdays on Cartoon Network.

It's unfortunate that they even aired DBZ.

Hey now, that show's cool when you're twelve. About the violence thing. American publishers sell two versions- edited and unedited. Edited is what you see on Toonami, and unedited is, for the most part, what is seen on Adult Swim. This is done with many different shows- Tenchi Muyo, Cowboy Bebop, Yuyu Hakusho- it's gotten pretty common.

I'm sure everybody already knew; I just wanted to give a reminder that, on CN, when you watch determines what you see.

I miss when Cartoon Network showed predominantly older cartoons. Fucking Boomerang channel.

Boomerang is actually a pretty cool channel. A couple of problems I have are that the shows never start at the top/bottom of the hour and that because they dont run actual commercials, all they do is run CN promos and the cartoon toy spots which get repetitive after a while. Those cartoon toy spots are really annoying when you try to watch one of their marathons that they do, like the Looney Tunes A-Z that they did a couple months back where they showed a ton of Looney Tunes in order of their title from A-Z.

I know they didn't show the banned cartoons, but did they at least show some Speedy Gonzales?

In early 2000 I believe, in one episode of DBZ, they aired the phrase "YOU'RE PISSING OFF THE GOD OF LOVE!", and this was during their afternoon Toonami block. I never heard of any backlash about this, so I doubt anything will come of Antz.
