Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2004 John Cena. He's arguably the most over star in the company, has a better look, and can have a good match if he had the opponents Randy Orton is getting. Better on the mic, better interaction with the crowd, better catchphrases (sans-Deez Nutz). He's just overall better than Randy Orton.

Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted November 30, 2004 Batista, I doubt has the gas for it. Benjamin should draw #4 and go through to the final 5.

Calling people fags every rap is hardly a good catchphrase, and Deez Nuts takes away about 600 points from him for being plain stupid sounding. Cena shouldn't have to be carried in matches. He should try to improve on his part instead of riding everyones coat tails. I'm not saying Orton isn't the same, but at least Orton has improved in the last 8 months. Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2004 If Cena was working with Benoit, Flair, Michaels, Jericho and HHH for the last 8 months he'd be 10x the wrestler Orton is by now.

That's okay though, Cena has faced greats like Booker T, Carlito Cool, Big Show, The Bashams, Luther Reigns, and Rene Dupree. It's an unbelievable list of immortals. cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2004 Cena at this point won't be much more than a transition guy anyway. It's hard to know what to do with him really. His rap gimmick makes him very popular but it also makes it hard to take him seriously as a top guy with a heavyweight title (The Truth had this problem in the NWA). I'm sure they'll put the title on Cena at some point on SMDN, but here's hoping that they'll let Heyman form some sort of ECW faction to capitalize on the DVD sales (not necessarily as heels or faces, just let people decide). That's about all I can see truly reviving SMDN.
Guest Phoenix Report post Posted December 1, 2004 I said back in August that Cena is going to win the rumble. Then he is going to win the belt at Mania. However seeing as how Hunter is not the Champion now, if he is not fighting for the belt at the rumble he could win it again. The WWE blew its chance with John Cena, they could have had the Undertaker win the belt and keep it untill Mania and then have him lose to Cena. Then Cena could turn heel and say that he has done what nobody has done. Beat the Undertaker at Wrestlemania. I don't see it happening though. They would ever want us to not know who is winning the Rumble. I mean come on last year they had the stupid Beniot you will never get a shot you are #1. Everyone knew he was going to win. However this will be the first Royal Rumble that Pat Patterson has not writen. You never know. I would like to see Batista win it too. He has been the reason to watch WWE for the last 2 months. He is a superstar and he is more over than anyone right now. Last night they were chanting Batista. They need to jump on this. I seriously think he could be the next Austin, Rock. Hunter did what he said he was going to do he got Bastista and Orton over.

Jesus Christ, what kind of fucked up logic is that? "Oh no, someone on RAW is being pushed and I'm only US Champion. I don't feel like trying (sucks a dick)." UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2004 Triple H is the World Champ, whoever said he isn't. It's like comic books...if you don't see a body, the character ain't dead. And on Raw, if they don't ANNOUNCE A NEW CHAMP, assume Trips is keeping his title belt. Hell there's even a poll asking "Who Should Be Champ?' and TRIPLE H is one of the choices. Trips is champ. Will be til WM. Honestly, Randy Orton is winning the Rumble. It's pretty obvious. He's been in so many main events in a row (SSlam, Unforgiven, Taboo Tuesday, SSeries). Cena is feuding with Jesus the Thug.
Guest QUP2CME Report post Posted December 1, 2004 If Cena was working with Benoit, Flair, Michaels, Jericho and HHH for the last 8 months he'd be 10x the wrestler Orton is by now. I disagree. I reckon Orton is the more 'natural' wrestler out of the two. Cena has a horrible finisher in the FU. His five-knuckle shuffle is retarded. Outside of these moves what has he displayed in the ring. The shoulderblock? Clotheline?Ortons match against Benoit was better than Cena's considering that Orton as the heel was on the offensive for most of the match whereas the Smackdown match involving Cena and Benoit saw Benoit calling the shots. I also remember his match against Lesnar at Backlash being a snoozefest. Cena has also worked with Angle and Booker. Admittedly his matches with Angle were good, but the best of 5 series with Bokker was tragic.

I think it was very simple to see that one is trying because he's being pushed, and the other isn't because he's still in the same spot he was many months ago.
