Vanhalen Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 The 29th film to feature Godzilla is to be shown for the first time today in the US. Final Wars "will compile the fruits of 50 years' work and put an end to the series", the BBC reports Yukihko Mochida of Todo studio as saying. However, Mochida added that the creature may make a return if a "new generation of directors emerge or a brand new film-making method is found to create a whole new world." The Godzilla franchise was born in 1954 when the first movie saw the angry beast rise from the sea, having been disturbed by the testing of an atomic bomb by the US military. Final War will see the return of ten creatures from previous Godzilla movies going about their destructive business in locations including Shanghai, Paris, Sydney and New York
Guest Shutterspeed Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 So it's now disallowed to make another Godzilla movie? There'll be a post-modern remake. There always is.
Guest Smues Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 Well it can't be as bad as the American godzilla from 98 or whenever it was. Gamera could kick Godzilla's ass!
Vyce Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 Gamera is full of meat, Gamera is fun to eat, we're all eating GAMERA!!! I'd just like to say: Godzilla / Jet Jaguar vs. Megalon / Gigan (from Godzilla vs. Megalon) was a ***** star giant-monster tag match. Godzilla can execute a dropkick better than even Bob fucking Holly, bah gawd.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 Godzilla will always be that green thing in the rubber suit to me...
