As far as the Wrestlemania 10 stuff, maybe the columnist just wanted to cover up looking bad, so she said that Vince must have changed the booking because of her. I just don't see a heel turn in the main event or anything like that.

I don't think there would have been a heel turn either but I think that's a minor flaw in the context of the whole article.

 

In terms of it being valid or not, it just seems interesting that everything else in the article actually came true. Bret wins the belt, Perfect as the surprise referee, etc.

Things which most inside fans at the time would have either known or been able to work out for themselves. Maybe she was just an inside fan who didn't want anyone to know for fear if ridicule, so mocked wrestling instead.

It would have been interesting to see where they went with the Luger/Perfect feud after WM10.

That reminds me! I was at one of (if not the) first tv tapings after WMX. Perfect was on HBK's new interview show the Heartbreak Hotel talking about Luger. He said that he was an impartial referee and was not bitter about being knocked out by Luger 368 days previous (or something to that effect). Pretty funny stuff. I also got to see the beginning of a Tatanka-IRS feud that went nowhere and Yokozuna vs. Mabel.

No. Not much of anything happened in that match.
