I'm going to LOVE watching the Capital One Bowl... Beats the fuck out of having to shake off a hangover early to watch the Cotton Bowl like I did two years ago for LSU vs. Texas.

 

 

If Saban can successfully break down the tape of Iowa getting ass-raped by Arizona State earlier this year on both sides of the ball, this is going to be funnnnnn.

Here were the lines I heard on the news today:

 

Auburn is a 12 point favorite last I heard.

 

USC is a 21 point favorite.

 

OU is a 22 point favorite.

I'm rooting for Colorado on Saturday not because of anything against OU, but the prospect of seeing Michael Wilbon's head explode on PTI Monday because of Gary Barnett winning a conference championship is too tempting to pass up.

And I'll never say never with the Big XII title game b/c of what happened last year. That being said I don't think that Colorado has the coaching nor the talent to compete like KSU did.

I think that's a good decision b/c I mean who else in the Big XII did anything special?

I mean Mack Brown lost to OU again and is out of the BCS.

Les Miles started with promise and fell apart.

Dennis Franchione maybe if he hadn't lost to Baylor.

Stoops did what he was expected to do.

 

And then you have Barnett who was thought to be on his way out and had to deal with player transfers and scandals and is still going to the conference championship. Now did he go through a miserable division to do it? Yes he did. But this guys team was supposed to finish at the bottom of this division.

He was a rushed hire, as they grabbed that guy after Auburn did the faux pas of stealing Tuberville from them. (Other schools in the SEC have stolen coaches from schools within the league, like LSU taking DiNardo from Vanderbilt, but typically not stealing coaches from a team within the same division.)

 

 

If not for Manning, they never would have been competitive in the league.

 

They had a pathetic secondary last year and were only saved because The Great And Mighty Eli could carry their asses on offense.

Second, if Cal does go to the Rose Bowl, Utah automatically gets the other at-large berth as a Top 6 team. The Big 12's representative will be Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl.

My friend Rachel was in New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl. After the game the ESPN guys were out partying in the clubs. B/c she's hot she was invited out onto the balcony for a private party with them. Eli Manning was there and they were giving out free beer. When he got ready to leave he made his girlfriend shove as much free beer as possible in her purse.

The guy is about to make millions and he still takes the free beer!

I obviously know more than you, the guy trying to act like he knows everything when you don't know a fucking thing. Texas will not pass CAL unless CAL looses, it's just not going to happen. The Rose Bowl will select Cal as I already stated.

Fiesta gets the Big 12 champ unless they are going to the National Championship as in OU's case if OU wins Saturday.

 

However, Texas is a much better opponent than a 4-4 in division games CU anyway, especially for the Fiesta Bowl.

But regardless of who the better opponent is, I believe if CU wins they get an automatic BCS slot. And that would put CU and OU in the BCS. I seriously doubt the Big XII would be able to put a third, in Texas, in a BCS game.

What the hell are you talking about? If Colorado wins the Big XII title game they are automatically in the Fiesta Bowl. The Fiesta Bowl wouldn't have a choice. Texas' only chance at going to a BCS bowl is to move past Cal.

A late this loss in the season means that these teams can't afford to lose b/c they will get dropped to the bottom of the Top 10 and won't have time to fight back.

 

If CU wins(ha!) they'll go to the Fiesta as an auto-bid.

 

Remember it'll on take 4 voters to swing there vote to put Texas in the BCS.
