NEWS ON TURNING POINT - HIGHLIGHTS, MOMENTS, INJURIES AND MUCH MORE FROM THE EPIC EVENT

Several major news items came out of Sunday's Turning Point Pay-Per-View...

Despite a backstage attack and kidnapping, The Macho Man Randy Savage made his return to action on Sunday night, returning to the arena in time to assist AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy in overcoming three-on-two odds against The Kings Of Wrestling. Savage was able to get the win on NWA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett after The Macho Man reversed a Sunset Flip into a pin!

New NWA World Tag Team Champions were crowned as Bobby Roode and Eric Young of Team Canada regained the gold against 3Live Kru's The Truth and BG James. The bout saw the return of Team Canada member Johnny Devine, who hit BG James with a Canadian Flag to help Roode and Young win.

Following the bout, The Truth's arm and shoulder were examined by medical staff. No update is known at this time, although the injury didn't appear to be serious.

After being thrown onto a pile a tacks by The Alpha Male to end their Serengeti Survival Match, the monster Abyss received immediate medical attention following the bout to remove thumbtacks from the back of his head and arms.

The Pay-Per-View saw the return of Pat Kenney and Jacqueline to TNA, as Kenney teamed with Johnny B. Badd to beat The New York Connection with Jacqueline as special referee.

And in what is sure to go down as a true TNA classic, America's Most Wanted defeated Triple X in the Six Sides of Steel, forcing Primetime and The Fallen Angel to disband. The bout also saw Elix Skipper execute perhaps the most insane maneuver in the history of wrestling, as he walked the top of the steel cage like a tightrope (30 feet from the ground!) and sent Chris Harris crashing down to the canvas with a hurricanrana!

After the bloody Six Sides of Steel, Chris Harris, James Storm and Christopher Daniels were all treated for head lacerations by the medical trainer. Fortunately, none required a trip to the hospital, but all will certainly be hurting in the days to come as a result of this epic warfare!

There are moments in professional wrestling, just as in any other athletic setting, when a performance is so breathtaking and extraordinary that no matter what your opinion of that performer is, you must stand-up and applaud the shear greatness of it.

Those moments of individual achievement become indelibly etched in our minds and become part of the history and fabric of the sport. A moment such as this happened last night at “Turning Point,” and the whole wrestling world is on their feet applauding: Chris Harris, James Storm, Christopher Daniels and Primetime.

On Sunday, the “iMPACT!” Zone in Orlando, FL was host to TNA Wrestling’s “Turning Point,” seen exclusively on pay-per-view. The fans in attendance and the ones watching at home and from around the world were treated to an amazing night of emotion and athleticism.

America’s Most Wanted (“Tennessee Cowboy” James Storm & “Wildcat” Chris Harris) and Triple X (“Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels & Primetime) met in a Six-Sided Steel Cage match, where the losing team would never be allowed to tag team in TNA again. The match was the culmination of a year and a half long feud between the two teams.

As the match progressed, the fans in the iMPACT! Zone were on their feet cheering and shouting “Best Match Ever” and backstage every TNA wrestler was huddled around a monitor watching the action.

The action was incredibly tense with each competitor executing high-risk moves that put not only their careers, but their well-being in jeopardy.

It takes something special and rare to make athletes, such as professional wrestlers, rise to their feet and openly cheer for their fellow competitors. After the match concluded, several TNA Superstars were so stirred, that they entered the arena to give a standing ovation to their peers, others were moved to tears

The Fans Have Spoken

“That was quite possibly the best Cage Match I’ve ever seen, possibly since the inception of the WarGames.” From Wrestling Observer

This was also the first match in a long time to actually get me out of my seat and have me screaming at the TV.

“What he (Primetime) did was the most extreme move I have ever seen in wrestling. Anyone who risks his life for his company must truly believe in the product that they are producing.”

From 1wrestling.com

“I don’t know how ANYONE can not feel this pay-per-view was worth their money. For those who didn’t catch it, I highly recommend ordering the replay.”

From 1wrestling.com

“I enjoyed paying for this show, something I cannot say when I purchase a WWE event.” From PWTorch.com

If you missed this match and the rest of the amazing action that took place at “Turning Point,” or you are just dying to see it again, contact your pay-per-view provider for the replay of the 3-hour mega event.

Primetime comments on THE MOVE~!:

On Wednesday night, three days after pulling off one of the most daredevil moves in wrestling history at Turning Point, “Primetime” Elix Skipper appeared on the “Between The Ropes” wrestling radio show to discuss the Six Sides of Steel Match. Below is what Primetime had to say about the brutal and bloody bout, “the move” and the reaction after the match:

ON PREPARING FOR THE MATCH THAT NIGHT -

“It was a great feeling and an honor…knowing that they (TNA officials) trusted us enough to put us as the last match…we’d done it before and were going to do it again. Everyone kept asking if we could top the first cage match. That wasn’t our intention. Our intention was to go out there and have a great match, but I think we ended up topping the first one.”

ON WHAT HE WAS THINKING DURING “THE MOVE” -

“I’m climbing up top…I’m sweating, I’ve got blood all over me – I wasn’t sure how high up I was, and I didn’t want to know. All I was concerned with was getting up in that corner and how I was going to walk across…the landing was the last thing I was worried about. As I was coming down, I knew I had to spin really quickly to land right. After I hit I did the full body check to make sure my fingers, legs and hands were still working…I was breathing and I was alright.”

“Before I did the move, I got mad at first because I tried to stand up and fell a little – and all I could think to myself was “Man, I hope I can do this”. Then all of a sudden I just popped up and took off because I was getting mad thinking about it. I just did it”

ON AFTER THE MATCH -

“Before I made it to the back – the fans are screaming “Thank You” and were so appreciative of what we did. Then as we’re going up the ramp, we turn around and see half the locker room out there congratulating us. A lot of people in the back thought I was crazy to try that, but to me the move was years in the making. I always wanted to walk the top of the cage and didn’t get that chance in our first cage match against AMW. But it was my chance to do something that nobody had ever done or will ever do again”

God damn, TNA needs to get some kind of DVD deal.

I will buy Turning Point in a second for that match ALONE.

In fact, they should combine the first two PPVs into one DVD and sell it for about 25 dollars.

I'll buy it and I hate buying anything.
