Guest qujexz Report post Posted December 8, 2004 This will be our version of the current WWE. Qujexz will be writing Smackdown, where as Dean will be writing Raw. This thread will ONLY be Qujexz's SMACKDOWN! Click here for Dean's RAW Thread We will both have our own styles of writing and layout (albeit still quite similar), so Raw and Smackdown will have a different feel to it, however for the combined PPVs such as Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania, we shall collaborate. The style in which I am going to write my Smackdown shows will be similar to that of a tv recap, albeit with slightly more detail. And as a reviewer, I will add in my own personal remarks/comments at certain times, to give a different dynamic to my fan fiction piece, as opposed to most others on the net. I will also not write out my matches in full, as I personally feel it to be tiresome to read. I have always felt that after each show, there should be something, somewhat, memorable that happens pertaining to that show. I have actually stated after each show what the memorable event was, and called this the 'Show Ending Excitement Factor' I am only going to use superstars that are currently in the WWE. So I cannot use wrestlers such as Goldberg, Austin, Sting..etc. I shall stick to exactly the same roster as the real Smackdown. If a superstar gets fired from Smackdown in reality, I too must eliminate that particular superstar from the roster, no excuses. Say, if main eventers such as Kurt Angle or Eddie Guerrero suddenly gets released in reality, I too must release them from our fed, whether I have them in the middle of a huge storyline plot or not. Dean and I will stick to the current roster split that of the real WWE, for now. We will start from the most recent WWE PPV, that being the 18th annual Survivor Series. What we are going to do is start writing from the current given WWE storylines and mold them into ours. So at Survivor Series, our first show, we had exactly the same matches as in reality, but we will book it differently from that point on. The Raws, Smackdowns, and PPVs following will be fully booked by us. I will only be writing Smackdown and the sd-related PPVs; not Velocity, as it is too insignificant (and who wants to read that anyway). Another rule we must follow is if a superstar is injured or has to be out of action for any reason in reality, we too must incorporate it into our fed. For example, currently Shawn Michaels and Carlito Caribbean Cool are legitimately injured and thus they will also be injured in our fed. Circumstances such as Kane and John Cena being out due to filming must also be followed. And we can only have them back in our fed when they have returned in real life. A few exceptions may be made if it's still within the realms of WWE reality, however we will try and avoid it. The point being made here is that our theme is realism. We will stick to everything that only the WWE has, so we have no booking advantages. This will be our road to our Wrestlemania 21.

Guest qujexz Report post Posted December 12, 2004 14th November 2004 Cleveland, Ohio Raw and Smackdown presents.... SURVIVOR SERIES *show starts* - JR and The King welcome us to the 18th annual Survivor Series, mainly hyping up the Raw Classic Survivor Series Match between Team Orton and Team HHH. The camera pans down to the Smackdown announce team, Tazz and Michael Cole, as JR and King give it away. Tazz and Cole do their usual match hyping and announce it's time right now, for the Cruiserweight Championship Match to open up the show. Cruiserweight Championship / Fatal Four Way: Spike Dudley© -vs- Chavo Guerrero -vs- Billy Kidman -vs- Rey Mysterio Good choice for an opener here. Anticipated enough to have the crowd easily in their hands, yet not too over the top such as last year when a potential main event, Team Lesnar vs Team Angle, actually opened up the damn show. This is not elimination rules, whoever gets the first fall will be victorious, Spike is definitely at a disadvantage here. All four men make their way out and proceed to have a four way staredown. So the only real storyline here seems to be between Kidman and Chavo, and possibly Rey and Spike. As expected the match starts off with two sets of brawls. Rey and Spike fighting it out in the ring as Chavo Clotheslines Kidman over the ropes continuing their brawl on the outside. The four men go on to wrestle an entertaining cruiserweight match, not seen in quite a while. Chavo is on the outside as Kidman climbs the ropes. Kidman then hits the Shooting Star Press onto Chavo on the outside. The crowd chant 'holy shit' collectively. Back in the ring Rey reverses the Dudley Dog from Spike and sets him up for the 619. Rey attempts his move but Spike ducks out of it. Spike attempts the Dudley Dog once again and this time he hits it. Spike makes the cover... 1.... 2.... KICK OUT! Spike gets frustrated and picks Rey up again, he goes for yet another Dudley Dog but Rey is able to get out of it by flipping Spike over his shoulders. Spike however manages to land on his feet behind Rey and rolls him up into a quick pinning predicament, holding the tights.... 1.... 2.... THREE! Spike just manages to steal one. Winner: Spike Dudley by pinfall at 14 minutes
Guest Dean Report post Posted December 12, 2004 Intercontinental Championship: Shelton Benjamin© -vs- Christian w/Tyson Tomko Christian makes his entrance along with his Problem Solver Tyson Tomko. The Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin then comes out to a good pop from the crowd. The bell rings... Christian and Shelton Benjamin lock up as Shelton grabs a wrist lock. Christian reverses and locks in a front face lock as the two trade reversals on the mat, Shelton gives Christian a waist lock takedown but he makes it to the ropes to break the hold. They tie up again and Shelton continues using his wrestling skills to dominate Christian, but he again makes it to the ropes to break the hold. After a few more wrestling sequences, the crowd begin warming to the match as Christian scores with a reverse DDT for a two count. Christian then chokes Shelton in the ropes as he screams he's Captian Charisma! The match flows nicely as Shelton reverses an Irish whip, sending Christian hard into the buckle, sternum first. Shelton then scores with a series of clotheslines and a flying forearm. Shelton hits a side Russian leg sweep for two and then a Splash into the corner. As he goes for a second, Tyson Tomko reaches in and grabs the leg. Seeing this the official orderes Tomko out of the arena much to the delight of the fans..... Well, he wont be missed. Sensing he's in trouble, Christian goes to the outside and grabs the Intercontinental Title belt. Christian goes to hit Shelton but the official snatches the title off him.... Shelton then hits a Dragon Whip for another close 2 count. Shelton attempts the Exploder Suplex but Christian blocks it with a thumb to the eye, Christian calls out to his peeps and attempts the Unprettier, but Shelton reverses it and hits his Exploder Suplex quickly making the cover as the official counts, 1-2-3! Great match as we all expected! Winner: Shelton Benjamin in 12:46 ............ Women's Championship: Trish Stratus© -vs- Lita Lita charges to the ring immediatly and takes down Trish pounding away at her with rapid punches. Lita drags Trish to the corner. Whips her out and delivers a Clothesline. Lita mounts Trish and continues pounding away at her face with what appears to be very stiff punches. Crowd rallies behind Lita as the ref drags her off. Trish’s face is busted open. Lita continues the punishment as the crowd cheer every punch and kick Lita delivers. Molly Holly shows up at ringside. Lita throws Trish out of the ring. Lita goes up top and dives to the outside on Trish and Molly. Lita grabs a steel chair at ringside and tosses it into the ring. Back in the ring Lita hits a top rope cross body for a two count. Lita grabs the chair. Molly climbs onto the apron to protest distracting Lita. Lita swings the chair at Molly who ducks. The chair drops to the canvas as the ref attempts to restore order. In the meantime Trish grabs the chair. and as Lita turns around, nails her in the face. The ref turns around as Trish covers Lita, 1-2-3. Trish survives, just barely! Winner: Trish Stratus in 5:12 Following the match, Molly helps a bruised and bloodied Trish out of the ring. They head towards the back as Lita comes to in the ring. Trish & Molly see the evil glare in Lita’s eyes and realising they are lucky to escape - begin high-tailing it as quickly as possible as Lita rolls out of the ring and chases in hot pursuit.... This rivalry is definatly not over!
Guest qujexz Report post Posted December 12, 2004 Undertaker -vs- Heidenreich w/Paul Heyman Now it's time for the most anticipated match on the Survivor Series card! Heidenreich sure enough comes out in a straight jacket accompanied by Paul Heyman. Heyman takes off the jacket as Heidenreich beckons Taker to attack him while he's still vulnerable. Taker however waits for the jacket to be fully taken off. Both men circle each other in 'what is sure to get ugly real quick,' as Michael Cole so truthfully puts it. Heyman creates a distraction for Heidenreich to take the advantage. Heidenreich punches away at Taker but Taker quickly fights back with rights of his own. The match soon degenerates into what everybody expected, a clusterfrick. After about ten minutes of punches, Taker finally puts Heidenreich away with the Tombstone. Winner: Undertaker by pinfall at 9 minutes - After the match, Taker goes after Heyman. Heyman pleads for Undertaker to back off, but then Heidenreich nails Taker from behind with a chair. Heyman's whimpers soon turns to laughter. He commands Heidenreich to finish off the Deadman. Heidenreich gets Taker in the ring and proceeds to take out Taker with multiple chair shots and punches. He finishes the attack off with the 'Pillmanising' of Taker's ankle. Taker sells the beating old school Undertaker styles, since he's supposedly all impervious to pain, being dead and all. Heyman and Heidenreich walk up the ramp looking very much satisfied with what just transpired. Backstage: John Cena is being interviewed. Josh Mathews asks Cena how he's recovering after the stabbing. Cena says to forget about that, he's not here to talk about what happened that night, he's here to beat the crap out of Angle, Reigns, Jindrak, and most importantly Carlito Caribbean Cool. Josh says that he has to ask Cena if he's actually cleared to wrestle, as according to the rumours, Cena hasn't even fully recovered yet. Cena says not to worry about him. Suddenly the WWE Champion JBL waltzes in with Orlando Jordan. JBL says that nobody came to see John Cena, especially after losing the US Championship to a damn rookie, on his debut. He says it's down right embarassing. JBL says what people really came to see is the current reigning WWE Champion, and not to mention the greatest Champion of all time, JBL. After a couple of intense exchanges, GM Theodore Long steps in to break it up. He says the both of them better focus on winning their matches and not on each other. Suddenly the US Champion Carlito Caribbean Cool attacks Cena from behind, a brawl erupts between the two. Long quickly calls for security to break them up as JBL enjoys what he sees. Guest qujexz Report post Posted December 12, 2004 Smackdown Classic Survivor Series Match: Team Angle Kurt Angle, Luther Reigns, Mark Jindrak & US Champion, Carlito Caribbean Cool w/Jesus Aguilera -vs- Team Guerrero Eddie Guerrero, Big Show, Rob Van Dam & John Cena Here we go, the first of the Classic Survivor Series matches. John Cena makes his way out first with what looks to be his kidney region taped up heavily. He begins to cut a lame Gerwitz rap, something about finally being back and whipping Carlito's ass. Thank god there were no exctretory references this time around. The rest of Team Guerrero make their way out eventually followed by Team Angle. The two team leaders start the match off as Kurt Angle and Eddie Guerrero lock up. A very technical exchange ensues between arguably the two best workers in the match. Angle eventually gets the tag in to Jindrak who evidently slows the momentum (and thus the excitement). Eddie has yet to make a tag, being singled out by the heel conglomerate, as Carlito Caribbean Cool is tagged into the match. Carlito works on Eddie's legs briefly, as you can tell that he's avoiding as much contact as possible to his legit seperated shoulder. Eddie eventually escapes Carlito's grasp and tags in John Cena. Thus the anticipated show down between John Cena and the man who defeated him for the US Championship. They lock up briefly but it deteriorates into a brawl spilling to the outside. The ref tries to restore order as Cena and Carlito brawl all the way up to the stage. Carlito eventually gets the upper hand then manages to throw Cena right off the stage! ala Matt Hardy and Kane. Carlito looks down at an unconscious Cena and smirks, as the crowd chant 'holy shit.' Carlito makes his way back in the ring, for some reason the ref didn't count him out. Carlito is in the ring and looks back to see the paramedics helping out Cena. The ring announcer announces that John Cena has been eliminated due to the referee's decision. 1st Eliminated: John Cena eliminated (referee's decision) at 6 minutes Kurt Angle, Luther Reigns, Mark Jindrak & Carlito Caribbean Cool -vs- Eddie Guerrero, Big Show & Rob Van Dam It is now 4 to 3 to Angle's team. Carlito is still looking at Cena laughing but he fails to notice Big Show standing right behind him. Before Carlito even turns around, Big Show grabs him from behind and hits the Final Cut Leg Drop. The crowd gives a collective "oooh" as Big Show pins the US Champion. 2nd Eliminated: Carlito Caribbean Cool by Big Show (pinfall) at 8 minutes Kurt Angle, Luther Reigns & Mark Jindrak -vs- Eddie Guerrero, Big Show & Rob Van Dam Now 3 all. Carlito rolls to the outside and has a big shouting match with the ref. Luther Reigns steps in for the first time and pummels Big Show. The two biggest men on their respective teams battle it out, Reigns is able to get the upper hand clobbering Show in the corner. Cena can be seen being carted out on a stretcher and taken backstage. Back to the ring, Jindrak is tagged in and manages to keep the big man subdued. He then makes a quick tag to Angle who starts working on the Big Show's legs. Show however manages to tag in RVD. RVD and Angle trade holds and reversals culminating in a trademark stand off RVD style. Carlito is still at ringside for some reason, while constantly whispering into Jesus' ear. RVD eventually tags Show back in. Show goes for the Chokeslam but Angle reverses it and rolls thru locking in the Ankle Lock. Show writhes in pain but eventually manages to kick out of it. Show staggers and drops down to the second rope, suddenly Carlito nails Big Show in the head with Cena's chain while the referee was distracted by Angle, presumably retaliation for Big Show eliminating him earlier. Big Show stumbles back from the blow and Angle is quick to take advantage hitting the Angle Slam for the pin. 3rd Eliminated: Big Show eliminated by Kurt Angle (pinfall) at 13 minutes Kurt Angle, Luther Reigns & Mark Jindrak -vs- Eddie Guerrero & Rob Van Dam Now 3 to 2 to Angle's team. Carlito eventually leaves the ringside area with Jesus seeming rather proud of himself for costing Big Show the match. Eddie steps into the ring as Angle timidly tags back out to Jindrak. The match continues with both teams getting frequent tags in. It eventually comes back down to Eddie and Jindrak back in the ring. Jindrak goes for the Mark of Perfection, but Eddie reverses it into a Huricanrana while hooking the legs. Jindrak fails to kick out in time. 4th Eliminated: Mark Jindrak eliminated by Eddie Guerrero (pinfall) at 17 minutes Kurt Angle & Luther Reigns -vs- Eddie Guerrero & Rob Van Dam 2 all now. Reigns rushes into the ring furiously attacking Eddie but Eddie bates him into the corner and tags in RVD. Clash between Reigns' power and RVD's quickness sees back and forth action between the two. RVD manages to hit the Rolling Thunder but Reigns kicks out. RVD tags in Eddie as Angle is losing it on the opposite corner presumably not wanting the match to come down to Angle against Eddie and RVD. As the ref turns around to get Angle to calm down, Eddie low blows Reigns, Angle sees it and tries to step thru the ropes. Eddie joins the frenzy between Angle and the ref as he beckons RVD with his hand behind the ref's back. While Eddie is adding commotion in Angle's corner distracting the referee, RVD hits the 5-Star Frogsplash on Reigns. RVD slides out of the ring as Eddie quickly makes the cover. Ref turns around. 1, 2...3, Angle is too late to make the save. 5th Eliminated: Luther Reigns eliminated by Eddie Guerrero (pinfall) at 20 minutes Kurt Angle -vs- Eddie Guerrero & Rob Van Dam Angle is pissed off as it's now down to a 2 on 1 handicap. For the first time in the match, the faces are at a numbers advantage. Eddie and RVD manage to wear down Angle with quick tags. However Angle eventually takes the advantage by low blowing RVD. Angle attempts the back suplex but RVD reverses and lands on his feet hitting the spinning kick knocking Angle down near the ropes. RVD rebounds off the ropes hitting the second Rolling Thunder of the match, but Angle manages to get his knees up and RVD lands in a very contorted position. Angle quickly rolls up RVD using the ropes for the pin. 6th Eliminated: Rob Van Dam eliminated by Kurt Angle (pinfall) at 23 minutes Kurt Angle -vs- Eddie Guerrero The final two, Angle and Eddie, circle each other cautiously. They lock up continuing where they left off from the start of this match, once again matching technical prowess. What followed was seven minutes of superb wrestling that only Angle and Eddie know how. Angle working on the legs that Carlito started on earlier in the match, setting up Eddie for the Ankle Lock. Eddie countering many of Angle's offensive maneuvers. Eddie is able to get Angle up on to the top turnbuckle setting him up for a Superplex, however Angle pushes him off as Eddie lands hard on the canvas. Angle then ascends up top again and hits a moonsault! Something rarely seen from Angle, but Eddie manages to roll out of the way. Angle lands hard sternum-first and squirms around in pain as Eddie quickly recovers and ascends the top rope himself. Eddie does his signature dance then hits a huge Frogsplash on Angle. Eddie seems to have hurt himself on the move but slowly covers Angle and hooks the legs. 1...... 2....... THREE!! Survivor: Eddie Guerrero by pinfall at 30 minutes
Guest qujexz Report post Posted December 12, 2004 WWE Championship: JBL© w/Orlando Jordan -vs- Booker T First few minutes sees Orlando Jordan constantly interfering behind the ref's back to Booker's disadvantage. The ref eventually catches Orlando choking out Booker on the second ropes and sends him to the back to his dismay. JBL looks a little worried now that it's going to be one-on-one. The match sees some dull back and forth action until JBL manages to hit the Clothesline from Hell on Booker. JBL covers but Booker manages to barely get his foot on the ropes. JBL levels Booker up for yet another Clothesline from Hell but Booker catches him in the Uranagi, and hits the Bookend. Booker covers but JBL just kicks out. Booker picks JBL up but gets a rake in the eyes. JBL goes and tries to remove the turnbuckle cover and suceeds while the ref is tending to Booker. Booker charges into the corner as JBL hits the drop toehold causing Booker's face to hit the exposed turnbuckle. JBL quickly rolls Booker up with his feet illegally on the ropes. 1...... 2..... KICK OUT! JBL argues with the ref saying it was a three count, but the ref stands his ground. JBL tells the ref to cover up the exposed turnbuckle. While the ref is busy, JBL slides outside and grabs his title belt and brings it into the ring. He waits for Booker to get up then tries to clock him with the title, but Booker kicks him in the gut causing him to drop the title. Booker rebounds off the ropes attempting the Scissors Kick onto the title but JBL dodges right at the last second. JBL rebounds off the ropes himself attempting the third Clothesline from Hell but Booker ducks, picks up the title belt, and nails JBL in the head. Booker yells at the referee who is still busy with the turnbuckle to make the cover. Booker makes the cover. 1...... 2..... FOOT ON THE ROPES! The crowd is starting to really get into this match. Booker gets a little frustrated. He picks JBL up and whips him into the ropes but JBL reverses sending Booker into the ropes. Booker ducks a clothesline, rebounds, but jumps right into a Fallaway Slam. JBL goes to the outside and brings a chair into the ring. The ref forcefully takes the chair away from JBL. While the ref is busy discarding the chair, JBL grabs the title belt that was already in the ring from before and nails Booker hard in the head. He slides the title outside and hooks the legs. 1.... 2.... KICK OUT! JBL can't believe it. He waits for Booker to get up setting him up for yet another Clothesline from Hell. JBL rebounds off the ropes but Booker reverses it into a Uranagi, just like before, about to hit the Book End yet again, but JBL manages to elbow his way out of it. JBL kicks Booker in the gut and goes for the Powerbomb. He lifts Booker up onto his shoulders but Booker reverses it into a sunset flip into a pin. However, JBL manages to roll thru and hooks Booker's legs in a pinning predicament, with his own legs on the second rope for illegal leverage. 1.... 2.... THREE! JBL wins in what was surprisingly a very decent match. Winner: JBL by pinfall at 16 minutes
Guest Dean Report post Posted December 12, 2004 Backstage: We see Maven walking down the hallway and about to enter a locker room. Hardcore Holly walks past as they bump shoulders and exchange a stare. Holly quickly asks if Maven is ready for the biggest match of his career up next and Maven replies with a Yes. Holly then says that he hopes Maven remembers who it was that allowed him this opportunity. Maven appears confused as Holly reminds him that he was the one that was asked to end Maven's career back in 2002 during the first Roster Split when Maven was drafted by Vince McMahon only because he was Hardcore Champion at the time, but ultimately lost the belt before the draft took place. And the reason he didn’t end his career back then was because he saw potential in Maven. And tonight its finally being showcased, so since there's no better time, all Holly wants right now is a Thank You. Maven says he owns Holly nothing. Holly didn’t help. All Holly did and all Holly does is try to bully all the young stars in these locker’s because he thinks he can and he for one isn’t putting up with it. Holly quickly bows up to Maven and asks what he plans to do about it...... Things start to get heated but before anything happens Randy Orton, Chris Jericho & Chris Benoit exit from the locker room and ask Maven if he’s ready because they're up next. Maven nods and gives Holly one last stare as Orton's team heads to the ring.... Raw Classic Survivor Series Match: stipulation: which ever team wins gets to run Raw for a month Team Orton Randy Orton, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho & Maven -vs- Team HHH Triple H, Batista, Edge & Gene Snitsky The match that will change RAW for the next month is about to get underway.... Edge and Benoit look to start before Edge cowards back and quickly tags in Snitsky, drawing a chorus of boos. Benoit & Snitsky start and both gain the upper hand for certain periods before tags are made. After all 8 men get a tag into the ring, Maven is tagged in and attempts to gain the upperhand on Batista. Maven whips him into the ropes and Snitsky makes the blind tag. Batista is upset and confronts Snitsky as the two go face to face. Maven dropkicks them both sending Batista outta the ring. Maven charges at Snitsky who delivers a Spinebuster. Snitsky pummels Maven some more before setting up his patented Pump handle slam and delivering it to get the first elimination. 1st Eliminated: Maven by pinfall (Snitsky) in 6:02 Orton, Jericho & Benoit vs. HHH, Batista, Edge & Snitsky Jericho is the next in and manages some offense against Snitsky before an Edge knee to the back helps Snitsky regain the advantage. He goes to work on Jericho before eventually setting up another Pump Handle Slam. Then the lights go out! The fans anticipate what happens next as red pyro suddenly bursts out of the 4 turnbuckles surprising everyone. Before too long the lights come back on as the crowd actually begin chanting “We Want Kane” We Want Kane”. Snitsky goes crazy telling everyone to shutup. Jericho hits Snitsky with a dropkick sending him out of the ring. Un certain of whats happened, Snitsky looks around and points towards the backstage area as he begins to scream for Kane to show himself. Meanwhile the ref is counting....... 2nd Eliminated: Gene Snitsky by countout in 10:50 Orton, Jericho & Benoit vs. HHH, Batista & Edge With Snitsky eliminated, the sides are again even. Jericho manages a bulldog on Batista and then a lionsault, but before the pinfall can be made, HHH saves. This sparks all 6 men to begin brawling in the ring. With the ref having lost control and distracted, Ric Flair (Whooo) climbs in the ring with a chair and nails Jericho in the face. Batista then executes his dreaded Demon/Power/Batista bomb as the ref turns around and counts the pinfall. 3rd Eliminated: Chris Jericho by pinfall (Batista) in 15:34 Orton & Benoit vs. HHH, Batista & Edge Benoit & Edge continue their brawl from ringside into the ring. Benoit hits 3 consecutive German Suplexes and goes up top. Benoit hits the Swandive headbutt and gets the over. 1-2-... No. Edge gets a shoulder up. Both fight to their feet as Edge attempts a closeline and Benoit counters it into the Crossface... he doesnt get it full applied as Edge rolls up and hooks the tights, 1-2- Benoit escapes. The brawl between Evolution & Orton continues outside as Edge sneaks hold of the steel chair, still in the corner and hits a low-blow with it on Benoit behind the ref’s back. Benoit crumples over in pain as Edge nails and Spear and hooks the leg for the academic pin.... 4th Eliminated: Chris Benoit by pinfall (Edge) in 20:42 Randy Orton vs. HHH, Batista & Edge As the ref restores order and gets Evolution back into their corner, Benoit attempts to return to the ring looking for revenge on Edge. Edge, distracted and gloating about his elimination doesn’t see Orton crawl in the ring and roll him up from behind. 1-2-3. 5th Eliminated: Edge (by pinfall) in 21:13 Randy Orton vs. HHH & Batista Benoit & Edge brawl back to the locker room as The crowd chants “RKO” to get behind Orton in his fight to survive these odds against his former best friends. Evolution use the numbers game against Orton for a short period until HHH tags in and asks Batista to hold up Orton. HHH backs off and charges Orton with a closeline, who ducks and HHH nails Batista. Shocked HHH turns around and right into the RKO! Orton covers the Champion and gets the 3 count! HHH is Gone! 6th Eliminated: Triple H (by pinfall) in 26:38 Randy Orton vs. Batista It’s down to Randy Orton and Batista Orton recovers in the corner for a few seconds as HHH rolls out yelling at Batista for his mistake. HHH is ejected as Flair goes crazy on the outside about whats happening. Flair jumps on the apron and gets nailed by Orton. Batista attacks from behind and attempts the Demon/Power/Batista bomb but Orton jumps out the back of it and hits the RKO on Batista. The cover, 1-2-3. Orton has survived! Survivor - Randy Orton in 28:59 Randy Orton celebrates his victory as his team will now control RAW for the next 4 weeks. Batista & Flair head up the ramp staring back at a gloating victorious Randy Orton as the show comes to an end. *Show Ends*
Guest qujexz Report post Posted December 12, 2004 November 15th SMACKDOWN! News Updates Carlito Caribbean Cool is reported to have suffered a seperated shoulder whilst in a match with Hardcore Holly at a house show. He will approximately be out of inring action for a couple months. It is unknown what will happen to his United States Championship. The reason for Carlito Caribbean Cool's easy elimination after just a Big Show Final Cut Legdrop at Survivor Series, was because he was too injured to take any bigger bumps than that. Apparently he was initially booked to take the Chokeslam before he sustained the injury. John Cena is still currently filming 'The Marine' in Australia and will not be returning full time till possibly after the Royal Rumble. His Survivor Series stunt, where Carlito threw him off the stage, will be the on screen explanation WWE will give to the fans. An injury angle of sorts. The Smackdown creative team have reportedly decided to tone down Heidenreich's push, as they seemed to have finally realised that fans aren't going to buy him with his lacklustre inring skills. Vince was apparently extremely pleased with how the JBL/Booker title match went down at Survivor Series. There could be plans for a new face tag team to emmerge in the next few weeks. There are rumours that there are going to be huge creative changes made in the very near future.
Guest qujexz Report post Posted December 14, 2004 18th November SMACKDOWN Preview With JBL just barely leaving the Gund Arena at Survivor Series as the WWE Champion, we have gotten word that GM Theodore Long will already be naming JBL's next ppv opponent, whom he will face at Armageddon. Survivor Series also saw Eddie Guerrero's team come out victorious with Eddie pinning Angle to become the sole survivor. How will the leader of Team Angle react to their loss? Undertaker was able to get the ppv victory, but it was Paul Heyman and his client, Heidenreich, who got the last laugh as they brutalised the Deaman after the match. Undertaker is sure to want to get even, but will he be in any condition to oppose the psychotic Heidenreich? Matches Scheduled: Chavo Guerrero will finally get his one on one match with the man who put him out for many weeks. It wil be Chavo Guerrero -vs- Billy Kidman tonight. Also Rey Mysterio will team up with the two men whom he was originally supposed to team up with at Survivor Series, Eddie Guerrero & Rob Van Dam, as they take on Spike, Bubba and D-Von Dudley in a 6-man tag team match. Guest qujexz Report post Posted December 14, 2004 18th November 2004 Dayton, Ohio SMACKDOWN! Intro Recap: Four days ago at Survivor Series, Spike Dudley retained the Cruiserweight Championship by pinning Rey Mysterio, Undertaker defeated Heidenreich but was ambushed after the match, Eddie Guerrero became the sole survivor after pinning Kurt Angle at the end; and JBL successfully retained the WWE Championship against Booker T, but only just. *show starts* - The WWE Champion, JBL and his Chief of Staff, Orlando Jordan, make their way out to the ring. JBL says that everyone thought that Booker T had his number at Survivor Series, everyone thought Booker was going to become the new WWE Champion, but once again, JBL proved them all wrong. He says that he's now defeated Eddie Guerrero, Undertaker and now Booker T, and he's going to keep going all the way to Wrestlemania 21 where he's going to defend the title in the main event. JBL begins to talk about the 'legacy' he's created but he's suddenly interrupted. General Manager, Theodore R. Long, makes his way out to the ring. Long grabs a mic and congratulates JBL on retaining his title against Booker T last night at Survivor Series. He says whether JBL is going to still be champion by Wrestlemania 21 is debatable, but he's not doubting JBL's abilities. JBL says that there's no doubt in his mind he will be main eventing Wrestlemania 21, infact, he guarantees it (oh lord). Long says that's fine, and he wishes JBL all the luck, but his first obstacle stopping him from going to Wrestlemania will be at Armageddon, the next Smackdown-Only PPV. Long says that JBL's opponent at Armageddon will be the winner of tonight's main event, and it will be a Survivor Series Final Four Match. This is basically the final four superstars, that were left in last night's Classic Survivor Series Elimination Match, will battle it out for the number one contenders spot for JBL's WWE Championship. It will be, Eddie Guerrero vs Kurt Angle vs Rob Van Dam vs Luther Reigns, tonight! JBL says it doesn't matter who he's going to face at Armageddon because either way, he will be walking out as the WWE Champion. Long starts to head backstage but stops, and says he has one more thing he forgot to mention. He says he was wrong before when he said JBL's first obstacle will be at Armageddon, it will infact be tonight, as it will be JBL defending his WWE Championship against Booker T in a Survivor Series Rematch! JBL and Orlando Jordan are completely livid. Long tells JBL, good luck, and also, the match starts.....right now! Booker T's music plays and out comes Booker T. JBL can't believe it. WWE CHAMPIONSHIP / Survivor Series Rematch: JBL© w/Orlando Jordan -vs- Booker T A WWE Championship match to start a Smackdown? Has that ever happened before? Anyway, these two continuing where they left off last night, laying hard rights to each other trading blows. This match definitely not meeting the standards of their last encounter, as the match mainly consists of just kicks and punches. The match eventually sees JBL go for the Clothesline from Hell which Booker reverses into a Book End just like at Survivor Series. Booker waits for JBL to get back up and attempts the Scissors Kick, and connects! Booker hooks JBL's legs for the cover, as the crowd count along. 1.... 2.... No! Orlando Jordan pulls the ref out of the ring at the last possible momment. The ref signals for a DQ as the crowd boos. Winner: Booker T by DQ at 12 minutes After the match, Orlando jumps Booker from behind cheap shotting him. JBL eventually recovers and joins his chief of staff on the beat down. The bell keeps ringing but they continue their assult. Suddenly, out comes Hardcore Holly (oh yay) to make the surprise save. Holly brings a chair into the ring as JBL and Orlando scatter. Holly climbs the turnbuckle and holds the chair up as the crowd pops big (what's with the Hogan-esque pop that Holly always gets? It's baffling). JBL and Orlando retreat to the back with JBL eyeing Holly angrily.
Guest qujexz Report post Posted December 14, 2004 Backstage: Hardcore Holly returns backstage as Josh Mathews tries to get a few words from him. Josh asks why did Hardcore help out Booker T. Hardcore says he wasn't helping out Booker T, he was just getting even with JBL. Hardcore says the way he looks at it, he's up 2 to 1 on JBL. He says that JBL proved just what he was made of when he defeated Hardcore himself in a Hardcore Rules Match, and for that he applauds JBL, but the next time, he won't be letting his guard down. JBL suddenly cuts in and yells at Hardcore for attacking him just now. JBL says that there's no way in hell Holly is getting another shot at his title, he already beat Holly, 1, 2, 3. Theodore Long appears and says he agrees with JBL, Hardcore has already had his shot at the title. Hardcore says he never mentioned anything about the damn title. He wants JBL, not the title, in a Hardcore Rules Rematch. JBL tells Hardcore to keep dreaming. Long then says if it's not for the title, he sees nothing wrong with Hardcore's challenge. He says next week, it will be JBL vs Hardcore Holly in a non-title, Hardcore Rules Rematch! JBL flips out and grabs Long from frustration but Hardcore pushes JBL off. JBL and Hardcore have a stare down. Backstage: It's really dark and you can just barely make out the Undertaker. Taker says that after what Heidenreich did to him at No Mercy and just last night at Survivor Series, he's going to put Heidenreich out of his psychotic misery once and for all, and he's going to do it tonight. He tells Heidenreich to "Rest....In....Peace." - It is announced that after what Carlito Caribbean Cool did to John Cena last night at Survivor Series, throwing him off the stage, John Cena is in the hospital yet again as he never fully recovered from the stabbing to begin with. Recap: September, Billy Kidman hits the botched Shooting Star Press on Chavo Guerrero's head knocking him out. Recap: Survivor Series, Billy Kidman hits the Shooting Star Press onto Chavo Guerrero from the ropes to the outside in the Cruiserweight Championship Four Way. Billy Kidman -vs- Chavo Guerrero Looks like this could be the big blow off between the two. Chavo rushes into the ring and completely dominates Kidman, stomping him in the corner. Chavo is in absolute control of the match early on with Kidman unable to get any sort of offense. Kidman eventually turns the tide with a dropkick to Chavo's face as he rebounds off the ropes. A pretty good match between the two as it eventually builds up to Chavo backdropping Kidman over the ropes onto the outside. Kidman is slowly getting up when suddenly Charlie Haas, who's still in crutches, comes out and attacks Kidman. The ref is talking to Chavo as Charlie uses his crutches on Kidman's legs yelling at him that it's now his turn to be put on the shelf. After assualting Kidman's legs, Charlie sends him back into the ring. Chavo capitalises and hits the Gory Bomb for the pin. Winner: Chavo Guerrero by pinfall at 8 minutes After the match, Charlie gets into the ring and continues his assault on Kidman. Eventually, even Chavo, has to pull him off telling him it's not worth it. He too was injured by Kidman, but it's not worth it. Charlie eventually leaves the ring. Kidman is in pain as the ref checks on him. Backstage: Paul Heyman is called into Theodore Long's office. Theodore Long tells Heyman that what Heidenreich proceded to do to the Undertaker after their match at Survivor Series was uncalled for. Heyman asks Long if he's going to fine him yet again, while rolling his eyes. Long says he isn't. He knows that personal vendettas tend to get in the way of what should be a one on one wrestling match, and he accepts that. Heyman agrees. Long says that is why tonight, he's going to have yet another Survivor Series Rematch, Undertaker vs Heidenreich. Heyman is not too happy about this and tells Long that Undertaker is going to be a mad man in that ring after what Heidenreich did to him last night, Undertaker will be out to seek revenge. Long says he knows damn well what Undertaker could and would do, and he's going to legalise everything since it's going to be a No DQ Match. Heyman says Long can't do this. Long says he's the GM, and the match will happen tonight. He tells Heyman to get Heidenreich ready for the match. Heyman storms off.
Guest qujexz Report post Posted December 14, 2004 - The US Champion, Carlito Caribbean Cool who's arm appears to be in a sling, and Jesus Aguilera make their way out. Carlito says that last night, he proved once again, that John Cena was no match for him, by personally eliminating him from the Classic Survivor Series Elimination Match, and what an elimination it was. Footage is shown of Carlito throwing Cena off the stage. Carlito says "now that's....cool." Suddenly Big Show makes his way out. Big Show says he's got a piece of footage of his own he wants to show. Survivor Series footage is shown of an already eliminated Carlito nailing Big Show with Cena's chain, thus leading to Angle eliminating Show. Big Show says "now that's not cool." Big Show challenges Carlito to a match, right now. Carlito says that he'd love to get in the ring and beat Show's ass, but as everyone can see, he's injured. He points to his arm in the sling. Last night, Cena gave him a seperated shoulder in the match (crowd cheers) but he says he got the last laugh when he threw Cena off the stage. So he will have to decline Big Show's offer, and says they'll have to do it some other time when he's healed. Carlito then says that he knows someone else that Big Show can face though. Suddenly Jesus Aguilera attacks Big Show from behind. The match is on. Big Show -vs- Jesus Aguilera w/Carlito Caribbean Cool Despite Carlito's efforts, Big Show is able to nail the Chokeslam for the pin in short order Winner: Big Show by pinfall at 3 minutes Carlito creeps up behind Show to nail him with Cena's chain, but Show quickly turns around causing Carlito to back off. Carlito and Jesus then retreat to the back as Big Show stands dominant in the ring. Backstage: Theodore Long approaches Rey Mysterio and says he's really sorry about the change of plans. He knows that it was supposed to be Rey Mysterio, Rob Van Dam and Eddie Guerrero vs Spike Dudley and Dudley Boys tonight in a 6-man tag. But now that he's booked RVD and Eddie in the Four Way tonight, he's afraid Rey will have to find himself 2 new partners. Rey says not to worry, he's already got 2 guys in mind. Long says that's great, while eyeing Carlito Caribbean Cool walking past. Long calls out to Carlito and says he has something to tell him. Due to Carlito being injured, and yes Long has looked at his medical records, Long has no choice but to strip Carlito of his United States Title! Carlito says Long better rethink that decision because that's not cool. Long says that's final, Carlito cannot compete, and thus he will be stripped off the title. He says next week, there will be an 8-man tournament to crown the new US Champion. Long snatches the US title off Carlito's shoulder and walks off. Carlito is stunned and speechless, as he drops his coveted apple. Backstage: Paul Heyman is trying to tell Heidenreich that facing the Undertaker tonight isn't such a good idea. Heidenreich isn't really listening to Heyman and tries to psych himself up for the match by hitting his head. Heyman says that all Undertaker will be thinking is getting revenge and taking Heidenreich out permanently. Especially after what Heidenreich did to him at Survivor Series. He says for once, he thinks Heidenreich isn't the mad man, he says Undertaker, will be the mad man. Suddenly Heidenreich grabs Heyman and pushes him hard against the wall. Heidenreich says he doesn't care what Heyman thinks, he says he is still very much the mad man, and what he did to Taker last night, he will finish off tonight. A very frightened Heyman, still pushed up against the wall, whimpers to Heidenreich that he's only looking out for him. Heidenreich releases the shaken-up Heyman and calmly tells him to put the straight jacket on him. Heyman reluctantly does so.
Guest qujexz Report post Posted December 14, 2004 Recap: Survivor Series, Spike Dudley manages to roll up Rey Mysterio while holding the tights, thus retaining the Cruiserweight Title. - All three Dudleys make their way out for the 6-Man Tag. Spike gets on the mic and says that he hopes Rey got himself some good backup because when you're taking on all three Dudleys, nothing can stand in their way. Rey Mysterio makes his way out. Rey tells Spike not to worry about his back up being not good enough. He says all three of the Dudleys should instead worry about getting their asses beat. Rey introduces his partners and they are........... ...... ...... ..... Shannon Moore and Funaki?!? The Dudleys are laughing their asses off. Spike is rolling on the ground in stiches. Rey's team rushes into the ring. Cruiserweight Champion, Spike Dudley; & Dudley Boys -vs- Rey Mysterio, Shannon Moore & Funaki?!? Rey and Spike start the match off in quick fashion. The Dudleys manage to isolate Rey in their corner, but Rey eventually escapes under Bubba's legs and double tags both Moore and Funaki. The crowd cheers on the ultimate underdogs as they double drop kick Bubba out of the ring and hit the double vertical suplex on D-Von. Spike rushes in and gets a double hiptoss for his trouble. Moore and Funaki are on fire. The match continues with back and forth action, much different from the one-sided, that the Dudleys were expecting. The three cruiserweights manage to knock Bubba and Spike to the outside leaving D-Von to fend for himself. Funaki heads off to the top rope as Moore nails the Drop Toehold onto the ropes setting up D-Von for Rey's trademark offense. Rey hits the 619 causing D-Von to stumble back to the middle of the ring, where Funaki then flies off the top rope with a huge crossbody. Funaki hooks the legs. 1.... 2..... THREE! Winners: Rey Mysterio, Shannon Moore & Funaki?!? by pinfall at 10 minutes Rey's team celebrates the huge upset win as they head up the ramp. All three Dudleys are in shock as they cant believe they just got pinned by....Funaki?!?
Guest qujexz Report post Posted December 14, 2004 Backstage: Paul Heyman is in Theodore Long's office trying to convince him to call the Undertaker/Heidenreich match off. Heyman says it's bad enough you've got Undertaker being even crazier than usual, but Heidenreich is completely off his rocker. Heyman says that he's afraid Heidenreich will do something crazy and stupid, he demands Long to call the match off right now. A now irritated Long raises his voice and says the match is on, and Heidenreich will get what's coming to him. He says he doesn't know what Heyman is playing at but he better get out of his office right now or he'll get security to do it. Heyman keeps begging Long to reconsider until security eventually takes him away. Long is left with a rather purplexed look on his face as to Heyman's rather irratic behaviour. Recap: Survivor Series, Heidenreich assaults Undertaker post-match finishing it off with the 'Pillmanising' of Taker's ankle. Survivor Series Rematch / No DQ: Undertaker -vs- Heidenreich Heidenreich comes out with no Paul Heyman, yet wearing the straight jacket. He gets the ref to help take it off him. Unlike at Survivor Series, Taker doesn't wait for the jacket to be fully removed, and starts hammering away at a defenseless Heidenreich. Heidenreich manages to kick Taker in the nether regions enabling him to finally take off his straight jacket. He gives it to the ref and tells him to remember to put it back on him after the match. Heidenreich actually attempts some psychology and goes after Taker's ankle that he injured at Survivor Series. Even with the more logical flow this time around, the match was just as uneventful as their first encounter. The finish sees Taker hit the Tombstone on the steel steps, taking advantage of the no DQ rule, for the pin. Winner: Undertaker by pinfall at 8 minutes Taker leaves the ring as Heidenreich slowly comes to. Heidenreich eventually gets up and looks around at the crowd with an enraged look. The ref tries to put the straight jacket back on but Heidenreich boots him right in the face. Heidenreich than proceeds to the announcers tables taking out the moniters and the headsets in a psychotic rampage. Michael Cole and Tazz try and escape but Heidenreich grabs Cole. He shouts at Cole telling him that he will be 'the victim for which Heidenreich will unleash his fury unto.' A terrified Cole closes his eyes as Heidenreich looks to strike but Tazz nails him with a stiff clothesline! Tazz grabs Heidenreich from behind and locks on the Tazzmission, as the crowd chant "ECW....ECW." Tazz looks to have Heidenreich choked out but Heidenreich manages to grab a monitor and swing it backwards into Tazz's head. Heidenreich picks up a chair to nail Tazz but Cole grabs it away from him and runs away with it. More referees come out to stop the carnage but Heidenreich nails all of them with punches. Paul Heyman then runs out trying to convince Heidenreich to stop the madness but Heyman too receives a huge right, knocking him down. Heidenreich then jumps over the barricade and walks into the crowd. In what proves to be a repeat from a few weeks ago, Heidenreich attacks the fans yet again. This time totalling up to ten fan casualties. A swarm of security men rush to the fans' aid as they try and take out Heidenreich. GM Theodore Long rushes out yelling for more security to come out and subdue Heidenreich. Security eventually manage to handcuff Heidenreich and take him backstage. Heyman yells at Long that he should have listened to him and call off the match, Long holds his head down in distress. Paramedics tend to the ten fans Heidenreich attacked. Backstage: Kurt Angle is talking with Luther Reigns, formulating a plan about the four way match.
Guest qujexz Report post Posted December 14, 2004 RAW Rebound: Chris Benoit was the GM for the night, booking a match between himself and Edge. Benoit ends the night by hitting a huge German on Edge thru the announcer's table. Next week, Maven will be the GM and he has already booked a match, that being Batista -vs- Gene Snitsky! Click here to read Dean's RAW Results! MAIN EVENT No. 1 Contenders (WWE Championship) / Survivor Final Four Match: Rob Van Dam -vs- Kurt Angle -vs- Eddie Guerrero -vs- Luther Reigns w/Mark Jindrak Contrary to what 'Survivor Final Four' may imply, it seems like this is just a normal fatal four way match where the winner is the first person to get a fall, so not elimination rules. I guess the 'survivor' part of the title was just refering to Survivor Series. The winner of this match will face JBL for the WWE Championship at Armageddon. The match starts off with Angle and Reigns teaming up taking it to Eddie and RVD. At the moment it's more so resembling a Texas Tornado match rather than a Four Way. Eddie and RVD eventually send both heels out of the ring. Eddie and RVD stare down each other, getting ready to lock it up. They proceed to have an exciting one on one battle. These two should really headline a ppv sometime in the future. Angle and Reigns eventually make their way into the match. At one point, they teased a showdown between Angle and Reigns, but then they turned their attention back on the faces. Angle hits the Angle Slam on Eddie and climbs up top to hit the Moonsault, just like last night. Angle yet again misses as Eddie regains the momentum climbing to the top rope. Eddie hits the Frogsplash repeating the end of their Survivor Series encounter precisely. Eddie makes the cover.... 1..... 2...... Reigns breaks it up! Eddie and Reigns brawl to the outside as RVD ascends to the top. RVD hits the 5-Star Frogsplash on an already layed out Angle! RVD hooks the legs.... 1....... 2..... No! Mark Jindrak pulls the ref out of the ring before the three count. The crowd boos heavily at this, obviously wanting RVD to be in the title scene. Really thought RVD had the match there. Eddie comes back into the ring and slugs it out with RVD. RVD hits the spinning kick then goes for the Split-Legged Moonsault in the corner. Eddie gets his knees up just in time as RVD holds his midsection in pain. Angle quickly rolls RVD from behind while holding his tights.... 1.... 2..... THREE! Winner: WWE Championship No. 1 Contender, Kurt Angle by pinfall at 15 minutes Angle unexpectedly wins it. It will be JBL vs Kurt Angle for the WWE Championship at Armageddon. Heel vs heel? *show ends* Show Ending Excitement Factor: Kurt Angle being surprisingly named the number one contender for JBL's title at Armageddon.
Guest qujexz Report post Posted December 14, 2004 19th November SMACKDOWN! News Updates Many were left wondering what was the point of Hardcore Holly's re-involvement with the WWE Champion JBL last night. Some sources have revealed that this could just be a sub-angle leading to a much bigger angle, involving other superstars. It is reported that even though Carlito Caribbean Cool is injured, he will still be appearing on Smackdown in a non-wrestling role, up until his surgery date. Althought John Cena won't be returning full time in the very near future, he will apparently make rare appearances every now and then, much like the Undertaker, however even rarer. There are plans to make Shannon Moore and Funaki the next official face tag team. Management was not too sure about the combination, but after hearing the reaction the two got when they teamed up with Rey Mysterio, it appears that Moore and Funaki could very well leave velocity, and onto the bigger stage. Many were left wondering what direction Smackdown was going to take after the announcement of the Smackdown PPV being headlined by JBL defending against Kurt Angle. With both men being heels, it's fairly obvious that things will change in the up coming weeks. Some have speculated that a face will be added into the mix, to make it a triple threat, or even a four way. However this is all just speculation at this point. .. SamoaRowe 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2004 from then on it will be completely original and wont happen again. And if it does, don't worry about it, man I really liked your episode of Smackdown. I actually find the Holly/JBL feud to be interesting. Heel vs Heel for Angle/JBL should be okay too, I'm doing a heel/heel title match in my diary in the near future (Rhyno vs Rodney Mack). Guest qujexz Report post Posted December 17, 2004 25th November SMACKDOWN Preview Last week saw Kurt Angle defeat three men in a final four match to earn the right to face JBL for the WWE Championship at Armageddon. How will JBL react to this? Also Thursday night bore witness to an act of terror as the psychotic Heidenreich proceeded to attack numerous fans after his loss to the Undertaker. What will be the consequences of this controversial incident? MATCHES SCHEDULED: According to GM Theodore Long, a tournament to crown the new United States Champion will commence this Smackdown, after Carlito Caribbean Cool had to be stripped of the title due to a seperated shoulder. The tournament brackets will be announced at the beginning of the show. After Rey Mysterio, Shannon Moore and Funaki defeated all three Dudleys in a 6-man tag match last week, with Funaki?!? making the pin, Bubba and D-Von have requested a tag match between them and Shannon Moore and Funaki. Will the ultimate underdogs be able to scrape up yet another win over the tag team veterans? This Thursday will also see the WWE Champion, JBL, in action against Hardcore Holly in a Hardcore Rules Rematch.
Guest qujexz Report post Posted December 18, 2004 November 25th 2004 Rochester, New York SMACKDOWN! Intro Recap: Last week, Heidenreich went berzerk attacking ten fans after losing to the Undertaker. Kurt Angle also became the number one contender for JBL's WWE Championship, at Armageddon. *show starts* - Tazz and Michael Cole tell us that, all four of the first round quarter final matches for the United States Championship Tournament will be held tonight, the semi-finals next week, and the finals at Armageddon. They show us the tournament brackets. QUARTER FINALS ______SEMI FINALS___________FINALS Billy Kidman vs Chavo Guerrero ____________________vs Heidenreich vs Rob Van Dam _________________________________________vs Booker T vs Mark Jindrak ____________________vs Spike Dudley vs Rey Mysterio It is also announced that GM Theodore Long hasn't even arrived to the arena yet. "My Opinion: Decent bracket, but a few worthy candidates were left out. Odd seeing a lot of cruiserweights in the US title mix." Backstage: Charlie Haas with Miss Jackie approach Chavo Guerrero. Charlie asks Chavo for a favour, he says that Chavo already had a shot at Kidman last week in his match, and now it's his turn. He begs Chavo to let him face Kidman in the quarter finals instead. Chavo says that so he's supposed to forfeit a shot at becoming the US Champion, for Charlie's sake? Charlie says that it's not about the US Championship for him, it's about getting even with Kidman. He says that if he somehow ends up winning the US Championship, Chavo will be the first person he will defend it agianst. Chavo thinks about it for a second, and says that he knows how much Charlie wants this, and he knows that Kidman will just be getting what he deserves.....but he's going to have to say no, he wants the US Championship. Miss Jackie then goes up close to Chavo, and seductively states that she and Charlie will promise to repay him, no matter what; while touching his arm. Chavo stares at Charlie for a while, then at Miss Jackie, before reluctantly giving in, saying he'll do Charlie this one favour, but he now owes him one. Charlie thanks Chavo and is about to leave but Chavo stops him. He asks how is Charlie going to wrestle with his cast still on. Charlie says not to worry about him, it's not going to slow him down from kicking Kidman's ass. Recap: Few weeks ago, Billy Kidman hits a carefully positioned Shooting Star Press to Charlie Haas' knees, putting him out of inring action for a few weeks. Recap: Last week, Charlie Haas attacked Billy Kidman during a match with Chavo Guerrero, and attempted to injure his legs with his crutches just like Kidman did to him with the Shooting Star Press. However Chavo pulled Charlie off saying it's not worth it, but not before some damage was already done. - Both Billy Kidman and Charlie Haas come out both wearing casts on their leg. Charlie from Kidman's Shooting Star Press a few weeks ago, and Kidman from Charlie's attack last week. Tony Chimmel announces that since both men have casts on, the ref has decided that this match will be a Cast Match, where using the cast as a weapon will be completely legal. US CHAMPIONSHIP Tournament Quarter-Finals / Cast Match Billy Kidman -vs- Charlie Haas w/Miss Jackie Why WWE allow two men who are supposedly injured, to wrestle for the US Championship, baffles me. I guess the fact that GM Theodore Long hasn't arrived yet might have something to do with it. The last time WWE had a cast match was back in 1999 during the Corporate days, I think it might have been Test -vs- Ken Shamrock. Anyway, enough of the useless trivia. The match starts as both men hobble around pathetically dragging their casts across the canvas. We can all thank Russo for this match concept. Both men target each others legs naturally with Charlie getting the upper hand. Charlie stomps away in the corner as Kidman holds his legs in pain. With their offense restricted by their casts, the match continues with rather bland action. Although Charlie hitting the leg drop with the cast across Kidman's throat was pretty neat. The ref accidentally gets knocked out by a Kidman clothesline in the corner. Kidman seeing the ref being knocked out suddenly takes off his cast! He starts laying out Charlie with kicks with his supposed injured leg, revealing it was all a ruse. He then nails Charlie in the head with the cast before sliding the cast back on his leg (albeit the wrong leg). He makes the cover as the ref slowly comes to and makes the count. 1..2...3. Winner: Billy Kidman by pinfall at 5 minutes "My Opinion: Crap, yet interesting match; due to the casts. Not sure about Chavo forfeiting his spot for Charlie, but I guess it was all thanks to Jackie's seduction. Nice swerve at the end with the fake injury. This match really takes me back to the old Russo days." Kidman proceeds to attack Charlie after the match. He heads up to the top to hit the Shooting Star Press on Charlie's knees yet again. But Chavo Guerrero comes out for the save sending Kidman packing. Chavo and Miss Jackie help Charlie to the back. QUARTER FINALS ______SEMI FINALS___________FINALS Billy Kidman vs__________________Billy Kidman Charlie Haas ____________________vs Heidenreich vs Rob Van Dam _________________________________________vs Booker T vs Mark Jindrak ____________________vs Spike Dudley vs Rey Mysterio Backstage: Kurt Angle with Luther Reigns and Mark Jindrak is being interviewed. Angle says that their domination of Smackdown has been very apparent for quite some time now. And they're domination is going to continue tonight when Mark Jindrak defeats Booker T in the US Championship quarter finals, and goes on to Armageddon to win the US Title. Jindrak nods in agreement. Angle then says that him winning the number one contenders match last week, and evidentally winning the WWE Championship once again, come Armageddon, will be proof that it's their time to shine, that Smackdown is all about them, and since GM Theodore Long hasn't arrived yet, and the fact that Angle is a former GM himself, they should be the ones running Smackdown right now. JBL with Orlando Jordan interrupts Angle. JBL says that Angle shouldn't be the one running the show, it should be him, JBL, because he is the WWE Champion. JBL says that Angle can say what he likes but at Armageddon, JBL will be the one walking out with the WWE Championship. Angle and JBL go nose to nose. Guest qujexz Report post Posted December 18, 2004 Backstage: Shannon Moore and Funaki are psyching themselves out for their tag team match. Moore tells Funaki that people have underestimated them long enough, and they'll show everyone just what they can do. Funaki replies with an "INDEEEED!" The Dudley Boys barge into their locker room and tell them that last week was a complete fluke, they are 18 times the tag team champions, and do the two of them really think they even have a chance to beat them tonight? Bubba tells them two to get their asses into the ring now and the Dudley Boys will give them a lesson to remember. Dudleys head off to the ring. Moore tells Funaki not to listen to them and they continue to psych themselves up. Recap: Last week, Funaki was able to pin D-Von Dudley getting the shock win in the 6-man tag. Dudley Boys -vs- Shannon Moore & Funaki The underdogs come out to a huge ovation. The newest Smackdown tag team take it to the veteran Dudleys early on in the match. The Dudleys eventually get the upper hand after cheap tactics behind the referee's back. The crowd is unbelievably hot for this tag match rooting on Moore and Funaki. I'm glad there's a proper face tag team on Smackdown now. Moore knocks D-Von to the outside as both Funaki and Moore ascend the ropes. They hit a huge double splash on Bubba from opposite corners. Moore makes the cover as Funaki hits the plancha onto D-Von to the outside taking him out. The crowd counts along.... 1... 2.... KICK OUT! Boos fill the arena as the crowd chant 'bullshit.' On the outside, D-Von whips Funaki into the steel steps. Back in the ring Bubba reverses an Irish Whip sending Moore to the ropes. D-Von quickly slides into the ring catching Moore on the rebound hitting the 3D with Bubba. Bubba covers and hooks the legs.... 1... 2... THREE! Winners: Dudley Boys by pinfall at 10 minutes The crowd actually start throwing litter into the ring, obviously upset with the result. Moore and Funaki are left in the ring looking extremely disappointed. They eventually leave the ring with the crowd still giving them an ovation. "My Opinion: Really pissed the crowd off with the Dudleys winning, but it was ultimately the right decision. It shows the WWE are doing something right with this duo of Moore and Funaki with the reaction they are getting. Everybody's a sucker for underdogs, me included." Backstage: Funaki and Shannon Moore head off solemnly to their locker room when they bump into the Tag Team Champions, Rene Dupree and Kenzo Suzuki. Dupree asks the two of them why they even bother, nobody cares about them, nobody even respects them, and they simply aren't good enough. Kenzo nods in agreement yet seemingly not understanding a word of what Dupree had said. Dupree tells the two of them to quit before they embarass themselves even further. The Tag Champions then leave the already dejected Funaki and Moore to ponder what they had said, not before Kenzo randomly tells them that he loves America. Guest qujexz Report post Posted December 18, 2004 Backstage: Paul Heyman approaches Hardcore Holly and tells him that he hopes JBL destroys him in their Hardcore Rules Match. He hopes JBL will finish him off, because he doesn't want a repeat of last year, when Hardcore showed an absolute lack of authority to him. Hardcore asks what the hell is Heyman even on about. He says if Heyman is referring to the incidents that happened between them when he came back from his career ending injury last year, then there are 2 big differences. Firstly, he doesn't have Brock Lesnar to protect him anymore, and secondly, he's not even a GM now. Hardcore leaves as Heyman has an indignant look on his face, which slowly turns into a smirk. Rather strange segment. US CHAMPIONSHIP Tournament Quarter-Finals Booker T -vs- Mark Jindrak w/Kurt Angle & Luther Reigns This match essentially appears to be 3 on 1. Nothing special here, the basic 'heel interference behind the ref's back' plays up with Kurt Angle and Luther Reigns getting cheap shots at Booker at every opportunity. Angle is eventually able to nail the Angle Slam on Booker as Reigns distracts the ref. Suddenly Eddie Guerrero rushes out with a chair and clobbers Angle in the head. He ascends the top rope and hits the Frogsplash onto Jindrak. Eddie scurries out of the ring as Booker crawls over and puts one arm across Jindrak. Ref eventually sees it and makes the count for the pin. Winner: Booker T by pinfall at 8 minutes QUARTER FINALS ______SEMI FINALS___________FINALS Billy Kidman vs__________________Billy Kidman Charlie Haas ____________________vs Heidenreich vs Rob Van Dam _________________________________________vs Booker T vs__________________Booker T Mark Jindrak ____________________vs Spike Dudley vs__________________ Rey Mysterio Backstage: Officials are trying to seperate Kurt Angle and Eddie Guerrero who are trying to get at each other, after what just happened in Jindrak's match. Angle says that he's had enough of Eddie's antics and his inteferences. He says to Eddie that he's already beaten him at Summer Slam and in the 2/3 Falls match to finally prove to the world that he is better than Eddie. He asks what does he have to do to get it into Eddie's head that Angle is simply better. Eddie says he's not denying Angle's better than him, but the way he sees it, they are still at one a piece, Eddie with the win at Wrestlemania 20, and Angle with the win at Summer Slam. Angle says that he beat Eddie in the 2/3 Falls match to win the series 2 to 1. Eddie says that he's not denying that Angle beat him in the 2/3 Falls, but Angle knows full well that if it wasn't for Luther Reigns, the result could have been much different. Angle asks Eddie just what he's trying to say, that he wants another shot at Angle? That he wants to get his ass beaten by Angle yet again? Eddie says yeah he wants to finish the series once and for all with Angle, and this time he promises, it will end just like how it ended at Survivor Series, Eddie pinning Angle, 1, 2, 3. Angle tells Eddie that he's never going to get another shot at him, Eddie already lost. Eddie says it's fine if Angle is too scared to face him one more time, it's fine if Angle thinks he isn't good enough to beat Eddie fair and square. Eddie says that he's not looking to say he's better than Angle, he's not looking to say that he's a better wrestler than Angle, he just simply wants, to finish the series, man to man, one on one, fair and square, decisively, and no excuses. And if Angle comes out on top, well then at least he will be satisfied now knowing who the better man really is, something that they currently don't know. Eddie says that Angle can make a choice right now, he can refuse to face Eddie one more time, not knowing whether he could have ever beaten Eddie Guerrero cleanly, having that always lingering at the back of his mind, or he can face Eddie in what would be their final battle, a decisive battle, with possibly Angle coming out on top. Then and only then, can Angle claim, without a shadow of a doubt, that he is better than Eddie. He says that the match can happen under Angle's terms, anywhere he wants, anytime he wants. Eddie asks Angle if he's man enough to accept the challenge, if not, well Eddie's cool with that but then they will never know who the better man is. Angle takes a while to reply before saying, it's on, and he doesn't want anymore excuses when he defeats Eddie once and for all. It's not mentioned when it's going to happen however. "My Opinion: Nice to see there could actually be a resolution to the Angle/Eddie feud instead of that non-clean 2/3 Falls match with Reigns interfering. Seems like Angle's in a lot of feuds...JBL...Eddie.....hmm "
Guest qujexz Report post Posted December 18, 2004 Recap: July, Spike Dudley defeats Rey Mysterio for the Cruiserweight Championship with the help of the Dudley Boys, after turning on him. Recap: Survivor Series, Spike Dudley rolls up Rey Mysterio, holding his tights, for the victory. US CHAMPIONSHIP Tournament Quarter-Finals Rey Mysterio -vs- Spike Dudley A lot of history between these two. The match starts off with a brawl, rather uncharacteristic for a Rey Mysterio match. The match continues not how one would expect at all, a lot of brawling and punches. These two just unleashing their hatred on each other. Just six minutes into the match sees Rey Mysterio hit a plancha onto Spike on the outside. They continue brawling away from the ring as the ref counts... Winner: Double Countout at 7 minutes Rather disappointing interms of inring action, but i guess it served it's purpose of illustrating their mutual contempt for each other. It seems Booker now gets a bye and advances straight to the finals. QUARTER FINALS ______SEMI FINALS___________FINALS Billy Kidman vs__________________Billy Kidman Charlie Haas ____________________vs Heidenreich vs Rob Van Dam _________________________________________vs Booker T vs__________________Booker T Mark Jindrak ____________________vs___________________Booker T Spike Dudley vs__________________*bye* Rey Mysterio - GM Theodore Long still has not arrived yet. - Kurt Angle, by himself, makes his way out to the ring with a serious look on his face. He grabs the mic and says that after thinking about it long and hard, he has made a decision concerning his match at Armageddon. He says if Theodore Long is listening right now, he wants to put his Armageddon WWE title shot on hold, postpone it if you will. As much as he'd love to face JBL and defeat him for the WWE Championship, it'll have to be after Armageddon. Angle says that this is because he wants a different match at Armageddon, a match more important than winning the title, yes everyone heard him correctly, more important. At Armageddon, he wants a final showdown between him, Kurt Angle, and Eddie Guerrero. Angle says that he will defeat Eddie once and for all, and after Armageddon, since he is still the number one contender, he will then go on to defeat JBL and win the WWE Championship. "My Opinion: Crappy ending for the Rey/Spike match, really expected more in terms of inring action but this is probably a set up for something. Don't really like Booker getting a bye straight to the finals. Good choice with Eddie vs Angle at Armageddon, although everyone and their mothers knew JBL vs Angle wasn't going to happen on a PPV. And there better be an actual explanation for Theodore Long's absence." Backstage: Paul Heyman tells JBL to finish off Hardcore Holly for him. Make him pay. JBL says he doesn't know what Heyman's beef is with Holly, but JBL will finish off Hardcore for himself, not for Heyman. Heyman then says that it's fine, but if JBL takes out Hardcore, permanently, he will be able to help JBL out in a huge way in the very near future. JBL asks what Heyman is going on about. Heyman just tells him to go along with it, he won't regret it. JBL leaves with a puzzled look on his face.
Guest qujexz Report post Posted December 18, 2004 Recap: Last week, Hardcore Holly attacked JBL after his match with Booker T, leading to Holly challenging JBL to a Hardcore Rules match tonight. Non-Title / Hardcore Rules Rematch WWE Champion, JBL w/Orlando Jordan -vs- Hardcore Holly They show that there was never any intention for this match to be any good to begin with as it degenerates into a handicap match right from the get-go, with Orlando Jordan aiding JBL. The ref unsuccessfully attempts to remove Orlando from the ring, but due to it being hardcore rules, Orlando instead physcially grabs the ref and throws him over the ropes. Holly eventually manages to get some offense on the both of them but gets beat down yet again, just as the crowd were rallying for Holly. JBL grabs a chair and proceeds to pummel Holly's midsection with stiff chair shots, as Holly rolls around in the ring holding his ribs in immense pain. Orlando then brings the steel steps into the ring, with JBL then sets up Holly for a powerbomb on the metal! Suddenly Big Show surprisingly comes out and steps into the ring, as JBL lets Holly go. Show grabs Jordan by the throat and Chokeslams him. JBL looks on in horror as Big Show towers over him. Looks like the match (which wasn't even really a match) is officially over now, although I never officially heard the bell. Odd. Winner: No Contest at 5 minutes Big Show tells JBL to stay right there while he goes and grabs a mic. Show tells JBL that he heard what he said last week. Yes JBL has defeated some of the greats, Eddie Guerrero, Undertaker and Booker T, but he's never faced a 7 foot 500 pound giant for the title before. Show says that with Angle no longer facing JBL for the WWE Championship at Armageddon, he now wants that shot. He wants to face JBL for the title, it's been too long since the Championship has been around his waist. JBL timidly states that they can compromise, Big Show doesn't have to be all destructive about it. Suddenly Carlito Caribbean Cool makes his way out to the stage with his arm still in a sling. He says everybody should just stay cool. Carlito says that just because Big Show got a fluke victory over Jesus last week, and just because Big Show comes out and threatens the WWE Champion, doesn't warrant him a WWE Championship shot. He says if anyone deserves a title shot, it should be him, Carlito Caribbean Cool. He's already proven that he can win titles on his first attempt, he says John Cena knows what he's talking about. And all he needs is one shot, just one shot at the WWE Championship, that's all it would take for him to become the new WWE Champion. He says not to worry about his seperated shoulder because by the time Armageddon rolls around, he will be healthy enough to wrestle again. Big Show is about to reply when JBL suddenly attempts the Clothesline from Hell, but Show catches him and hits the Chokeslam. Big Show stands over the WWE Champion as he stares down to Carlito motioning that the belt is his. "My Opinion: Don't know what that Hardcore Holly/Paul Heyman and JBL/Paul Heyman backstage segments were all about before. Kind of weird, but still cool they brought up their history from a year ago. The hardcore match was nothing as expected; just a handicap crapfest for Big Show and Carlito to crash. Odd seeing Carlito (somewhat) involved with the WWE title. Nice continuation with the Big Show/Carlito thing from last week." RAW Rebound: Maven was the GM for the night.....Gene Snitsky and Batista reluctantly unite against common foes Chris Jericho and Randy Orton after their match.....Eugene and William Regal defeated Hurricane and Rosey.....Trish Stratus and Molly Holly defeated Lita and Victoria.....Randy Orton, Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho defeated Batista and Gene Snitsky, Edge was supposed to make it a 6-man tag but never showed up probably due to injury sustained from Benoit.....La Resistance successfully defended their titles against Rhyno and Tajiri.....Triple H successfully defended his title against GM Maven, with Batista's help but still with hints of dissension between Triple H and Batista. Next week it will be Chris Jericho's turn to be GM and he has already booked a momentous world title match....Triple H defending against Chris Jericho in a Hell in a Cell! Click here to read Dean's RAW Results! - Hardcore Holly is still in the ring getting checked on by the paramedics. He's still holding his ribs from the JBL chair shots. He eventually gets helped to the back. Backstage: JBL is lying down and has got an icepack on his back, due to the Big Show Chokeslam. He tells Paul Heyman that he would have done more damage to Hardcore Holly if Big Show hadn't BUTT in. Heyman says he knows that and he doesn't blame JBL. Suddenly Heidenreich appears and grabs Heyman. Heidenreich asks why Heyman was trying to call the match off last week between him and Undertaker. Heyman in shock whispers that he didn't want there to be another masacre curteousy of Heidenreich, it was their asses on the line if another mishap happened. A mishap similar to that of last week when Heidenreich attacked the fans yet again. Heidenreich laughs. Heyman says that as of last week he has severed all ties with Heidenreich and he is no longer Heyman's client. Heyman then scurries off before Heidenreich can say anything. Heidenreich looks gnarlingly around before asking JBL to help him put on his straight jacket.
Guest qujexz Report post Posted December 18, 2004 - GM Theodore Long is still yet to arrive. US CHAMPIONSHIP Tournament Quarter-Finals Rob Van Dam -vs- Heidenreich RVD is actually able to make a Heidenreich match mildly enjoyable. The crowd is firmly behind RVD as he nails all his trademark maneuvers on the bleached madman. Half way thru the match, GM Theodore Long is shown finally arriving backstage. He gets out of his car with a very serious look on his face and makes his way to the ring, midmatch! Long makes his way to the stage and stops the match immediately. He says that as GM, he awards this match to Rob Van Dam. Heidenreich looks at Long seemingly in a mad trance. Winner: Rob Van Dam by match stoppage at 6 minutes QUARTER FINALS ______SEMI FINALS___________FINALS Billy Kidman vs__________________Billy Kidman Charlie Haas ____________________vs Heidenreich vs__________________Rob Van Dam Rob Van Dam _________________________________________vs Booker T vs__________________Booker T Mark Jindrak ____________________vs___________________Booker T Spike Dudley vs__________________*bye* Rey Mysterio Suddenly about 20 security guards come out and circle the ring. They let RVD leave the ring, but when Heidenreich tries to leave they immediately subdue him. Theodore Long says that the US Championship Tournament brackets were drawn up before Heidenreich's psycho rampage last week, attacking the fans. There is no way Heidenreich should be in this tournament, and from last week's debacle, there is no way Heidenreich should be on Smackdown. He tells Heidenreich that as of this moment, he's.....FIRED! Heidenreich goes insane but is unable to escape the 20 security guards. They eventually take him backstage. "My Opinion: That's three matches in a row without a decisive ending...not very good there. This tournament better redeem itself in the semi-finals and finals. Although Heidenreich being fired makes up for all of that." Theodore Long is now standing in the ring alone. He says that he's sorry for arriving so late but due to Heidenreich's actions last week, he has had the board of directors breathing down his neck, he has had phone calls from fans concerned about their safety, he has had to deal with the fans who got attacked by Heidenreich, a lawsuit could very well be pending. Basically, Long says he has been a very busy man all week thanks to Heidenreich. He says he's already dealt with one man, Heidenreich, and now he has to deal with another. He demands Paul Heyman to come out right now. Paul Heyman makes his way out. Heyman says to Long that what Long did, firing Heidenreich, was exactly what he would do. Heidenreich is a threat to the safety of the fans and he commends Long for taking action. Long doesn't buy Heyman's apparent sincerity one bit, he tells Heyman he doesn't know what he's been playing at the last 2 weeks, but he is very close to getting the same fate as Heidenreich. Heyman is about to speak when...... .... .... .... Suddenly 'No Chance in Hell' plays up and out comes the WWE Owner, Vince McMahon! Long and Heyman are shocked. An enraged Vince gets into the ring and grabs a mic. He says that last week, he couldn't believe what he saw, when Heidrenreich attacked the fans, yet again. He says the WWE was lucky the first time as none of the fans pressed any charges, but due to the incident last week, he now has confirmation that WWE has a lawsuit on their hands. Vince says with the incident that happened last week, there are two men responsible for it. He says the first, is Heidenreich, and with Long firing him, they don't have to worry about anymore incidents. He looks at Heyman and says, the second person, is someone who he feels is almost as responsible as Heidenreich himself, someone who could and should have prevented it. He turns around to Theodore Long. Long looks at Vince with a terrified glare. Vince puts the mic to his mouth and says, "Theodore Long, as the general manager of Smackdown...... ...... ...... ..... YOU'RE FIRED!!" Long is in shock and doesn't say a word. Vince says that he gave Long a second chance after the first time Heidenreich attacked the fans, but now that Long has allowed this incident to repeat, he has no choice but to relieve Long of his general manager duties. Heyman then interrupts and asks Vince to make him, Paul Heyman, the new general manager of Smackdown, as he is certainly the most qualified. Vince ponders this. Long protests in disbelief saying that he was fired for the actions of Heidenreich but Heidenreich was Heyman's own client. How on earth can Heyman even be eligible to become the new general manager. Heyman retorts saying that it is true that he "was" Heidenreich's client, but he was infact against Heidenreich being hired on Smackdown in the first place, because he knew of Heidenreich's nature, he knew what Heidenreich was capable of from past instances in his life, but guess who still hired him, it was Theodore Long. Long says he never knew how dangerous Heidenreich was, he wasn't informed of these 'past instances in his life.' Heyman says Long obviously wasn't doing his job very well then, and seeing as Heyman always looked out for the company, he decided to make Heidenreich his own client so he can personally try and prevent any debacles, being the good company man that he is. He admits he failed the first time when Heidenreich attacked the fans and he apologises profusely for that, but the second time, he came directly to Long and warned him. But what did Long do? He still allowed Heidenreich to wrestle nonetheless. Heyman proceeded to say he was always looking out for what's best for the company and what's safe for the fans, as he has proven it, and that's why he should be given the general manager position once again. Not only that, but he would never be late to work like some general managers. Vince says he's had enough of the two of them bickering, but as far as he can see, everything Heyman has said, was indeed the truth. Heyman did plead with Long to stop the match when he saw it was unfit for Heidenreich to wrestle, but as Heyman clearly stated, Long made the wrong judgement call for the second time running. Vince then extends his hand to Heyman, and says Heyman is indeed the most qualified for the GM position, and he sees no reason against it. He announces that the new General Manager of Smackdown will be.......Paul Heyman! Heyman overly thanks Vince and tells him that he will do an even better job the second time around. Vince then heads out of the ring leaving an ecstatic Paul Heyman. Theodore Long is in absolute disbelief. *show ends* Show Ending Excitement Factor: Theodore Long being fired as the GM and Paul Heyman subsequently being named the new GM. "Final Thoughts: Pretty craptacular in terms of overall inring action this week, but the storyline progressions seem to be moving along nicely. Long being fired and Heyman being hired as GM really sets up some interesting future scenarios. But where does this leave Long? I don't think I can buy him as a normal manager again after being GM. Interesting Heidenreich situation, doubt he's really fired (from the main roster) but I guess it's quite probable that they might send him down to OVW for major improvement. JBL's Armageddon opponent looks rather shady now. I just pray to god that it won't turn out to be something like JBL vs Big Show vs Carlito Caribbean Cool vs Hardcore Holly." Guest qujexz Report post Posted December 18, 2004 26th November SMACKDOWN! News Updates Management has been displeased with Theodore Long as GM for quite some time now, and have been opting for a more exciting Paul Heyman to retake the GM position. Thursday saw this come into fruition, as Long was subsequently "fired." Long will however still have some kind of an on-screen role. It has been reported that Hardcore Holly will miss the next Smackdown to sell the JBL beating from their hardcore match this week. Some have speculated that this may also be part due to the recent legit beating that Holly gave Rene Dupree at a recent house show. Many were left wondering what was the point of jobbing Shannon Moore and Funaki to the Dudleys just as they were starting to get over. The decision was to realistically build Moore and Funaki over time, suddenly giving them big wins out of the blue would not be believable. They seemed to have learned from the Kidman/London tag team. JBL's new opponent for Armageddon should be announced on the coming Smackdown. The speculated/tentative Armageddon card looks to be: Billy Kidman -vs- Chavo Guerrero or Billy Kidman -vs- Charlie Haas possibly Dudley Boys -vs- Shannon Moore & Funaki (perhaps making this a three way with the tag champs, Dupree and Suzuki) Cruiserweight Championship - Spike Dudley -vs- Rey Mysterio Big Show -vs- Carlito Caribbean Cool (assuming he is cleared to wrestle) US Championship Tournament Finals Kurt Angle -vs- Eddie Guerrero WWE Championship - JBL -vs- .......Big Show?, although nothing has been confirmed as of yet .. The C Man 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2004 Ok I really despise the format. Why is the show broken up into numerous posts? Apart from that the format is pretty decent. The booking has been ok as well. I think Eddie/Angle has been pretty much fucked up by the WWE for it to be worthwhile for your diary. Not really your fault though. I don't like the idea of vacating the U.S title so soon after Angle stripped Cena. That - coupled with some of the decisions in the tournament so far - have damaged the image of the title. IMO the Big Show/CCC match is a bit of a no-win situation. Carlito has been gaining a lot of momentum so a big PPV loss would be bad. On the other hand if Show loses to a man almost half his size it wouldn't be good either. It would only help if u wanted to de-push Show and turn him into a comedy character again like the WWE is so fond of doing. That is, if the match goes ahead. I'm undecided on Heyman being GM. I liked Long in the role but Heyman is good in almost any role. I have a feeling you are heading somewhere with it though. I do understand some of the booking constraints you have, having been doing a diary myself. (Which is better than yours btw. Ha ha). I don't know how long-term you plan but prepare for your long-term plans to be fucked up by the WWE when they fire someone. It will happen, believe me. If you need someone to run ideas by or anything of the like I'd be happy to help.
