Ok...what the hell is this?

 

Lol, I mean like...is this some sort of old story/children's book that's being made? Is it not really...a kids movie, but sort of is, kind of gives me that Jumanji feel. I just...hadn't heard much about it before.

 

When I first saw the commercials...I thought it just looked stupid as hell..but now, for some reason, I have the urge to want to go and see it. Even though...I don't even really know what it's about. Even after watching, most of the 'Making the movie' thing on MTV.

 

So umm..I guess, discussion about this movie..should go here :/

I can't wait for this movie. Jim Carrey's my favourite actor and I loved the teaser trailer and the regular trailer.

 

Carrey looks like he's having so much fun in the movie and apparently he plays all these different characters and does a lot of crazy stuff.

I was excited to see the movie since Carrey was in it and playing these weird characters, and then there's a baby that talks with subtitles. I'm on the fence now. I'm sure it's a great movie for kids, but it just doesn't appeal to me.

It seems like Liar Liar in the sense that it is just a one man show for Jim Carrey to let loose and be awesome.

 

Kids movies can be really good so don't not see the movie for that

It looks great, I'm looking forward to seeing it and bah to the "it's just a kids movie" mindset.

 

In the books, the character Carrey is playing is darkly humorous, so hopefully that's how Carrey is playing him.

Harry Potter 3 was the best movie I've seen all year and the Chamber of Secrets is a fun kickass movie.

 

I haven't seen Philosopher's Stone in a while

It's not like the baby is a new born. She looks old enough to make noises that sound like words. It seems like only her sister and brother actually understand her.

 

Besides, it is a fantasy film.

Personally I found Harry Potter 1 to suck and be child crap...Harry Potter 2 to be "eh...better" and Harry Potter 3 to be one of the best movies of 2004.

 

So this could be hit or miss. I'll wait for the DVD.

Just saw this film.

 

2 quick observations.

 

1. It is a very good film, all the actors in it are really good, Connolly, Browning, Streep and Carey shine.

 

I would of loved it to be abit darker but obviously that would of reduced its Box Office appeal.

 

2. This film will make alot of money. I saw this in my little crappy local cinema and it was packed.

 

And the crowd loved it.

 

I expect it to be big.

The movie looks like it was shot in the same Harry Potter style. Including the lettering in the trailers.
