2003 Vengence had a ****1/4 Tag title match and a ***1/2 Triple Threat match. Entertaining APA Brawl segment. *** Eddy/Benoit finals match, short but entertaining Knoble/Gunn match and a ***1/4 Cena/Taker. Vengence 2003 was WWE PPV of the year.

 

2004 Vengeance had a bland card all the way through with nothing hitting over ***.

 

2003 Armageddon had NOTHING. 2004 had Funaki~!.

 

SD won out on both.

I thought the RVD/Orton and HBK/Batista matches from Armageddon 2003 were pretty decent - and the Trish & Lita/Jericho & Christian match was actually fun for what it was.

 

I don't think Armageddon 2004 had any redeeming qualities, with the exception of maybe the RVD & Misterio/Kenzo & Dupree Tag Title match.

Vengeance 03 totally blows 04 out of the water (and it's one of my favorite pay-per-view ever). I haven't seen Armageddon 04 yet, but it wouldn't take much for it to out do 03 (which didn't suck in any obvious way, there was just nothing that good on it).

Vengeance '04 only had Edge vs. Orton as being the only good match on the card. The ME was good until it was tainted by the ending. The rest was just filler. Vengeance '03, on the other hand, had Benoit/Eddy, Rey and Kidman vs. WGTT, and the Triple threat main event. Vengeance '03 had better matches. As far as Armageddon goes, I would have to go with last year's, on account of the matches being less "gimmicky."

Vengeance '03 is, IMO, the best PPV since WrestleMania X-7. In some ways it even tops it, because I was a whole lot more entertained with the shitty matches at Vengeance '03 than I was with the shitty matches at WrestleMania X-7.
