Guest Deadbolt Report post Posted January 30, 2005 BREAKING NEWS: We have just reported that Stone Cold Steve Austin is backstage at the Royal Rumble right now. Austin was a candidate to be the thirtieth Royal Rumble entrant and this news could be the proving fact of the final entrant. [Credit: PWI]
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2005 Michael Cole (doing a radio show) reports: note that Teddy Long has promised to add the 15th member after the 3 way WWE Championship match between Big Show, JBL and Kurt Angle." Cole also stated that the Basham Brothers will be in action on Heat defending the Tag Titles against a yet to be named opponent.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted January 30, 2005 The yet to named challengers would have to be the 'surprising' return of the Dudleyz. In which the Dudz control and dominate but Bashams leave for the count out finish. I strongly hope that the "non pinned" person in the rumble doesn't get the 15th spot. I think it just means they won't announce it until after the match, which is dumb. Why bother announcing it. I still think the Carlito idea was the best idea yet. UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2005 Anyone else think the Rumble will go on before HHH/Orton?
Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted January 30, 2005 It's a possibility considering it wouldn't be the first time a Rumble went before the Title match (1996-97-98 did this). However 1996 set up the Diesel/UT stuff, 1997 was shawn in his hometown winning the title back in front of nearly 70k fans(and the screwy nature of the rumble had to be a reasoning as well) and 1998 had the bigger hyped Casket Match that had a big angle at the end along with the most obvious winner in rumble history. (No else was even bothered to be pushed as a challenger...at least in 2002 with HHH, austin was still pushed as was Rikishi or 2003, with Jericho being pushed as well). This year, I'm not sure if they will go that route...but since the Rumble hasn't been as pushed hard as the title matches, i could see that.
Fökai 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2005 If most of the Rumble revolves around Batista, they can't finish with HHH/Orton. Either we get an Evolution turn on Batista, or he wins the Rumble -- simple as that. The focus, then, won't be on HHH/Orton the match, but Evolution as a storyline. Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2005 Nah, I'm sure the Rumble will be last like it has been for the past 6 years. Edit: I predict the Bashams opponents will be Holly / Haas.

Edit: I predict the Bashams opponents will be Holly / Haas. Haas and Holly are in the rumble; not that it means they WONT do double duty but Im just saying it's a good way to bring back the face and hopefuly fresher dudleyz. Guest Rrrsh Report post Posted January 30, 2005 Face Dudleyz suck. Heel Dudleyz with a purpose is much better. I'd rather them try two Crusiers get a shot and lose, but build them a legit Team. Like Nunzio and Chavo.
tpww7 0 Report post Posted January 30, 2005 From Meltz's site Michael Cole did an interview where he said Teddy Long would announce the 30th guy after the conclusion of the three-way title match. That pretty much says to me that it's Angle somehow and that leads to HBK-Angle interaction in the Rumble. Also.. Cole also stated that the Basham Brothers will be in action on Heat defending the Tag Titles against a yet to be named opponent.
