TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2004 Is it just me, or does ESPN cover the NHL now more than ever? They are going on and on about how the strike is such an awful thing, and this great sport is going under. Uh, hello? If I saw 3 hockey highlights on a 90 minute SportsCenter last year, I was surprized. The other day I woke up to that abysmal Cold Pizza show, and they had 3 different segments about the hockey strike. It wouldn't bother me as much as it does, if they had shown that they cared about it back when it was actually being played. Oh, and I also saw the exact same Kobe interview on the three major ESPN Networks last night, all at the same time. I'm at the end of my rope with them. Who cares if Malone hit on his wife? Is it that big of a deal?
starvenger 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2004 I'm pretty certain that there's a rider in Thea Andrews' contract that lets here talk about hockey...
TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2004 Was she the one from Real World or what ever show that was, or is that the other "eye candy" of the show? I also found it rediculous how the other broad with the cheeks was a panelist on the awful SportsCenter anchor show. Actually, I don't think anyone on that panel had ever even anchored a SC before. smh810 0 Report post Posted December 16, 2004 The most absurd thing about that morning show isnt Kit Hoover its Jay Crawford the jackass who hosts the thing. I'm from Tampa and I watched this hack on local TV for years and the fact that this guy got a national gig and Chris Thomas (RIP) never did pisses me off to this day. (Note: you wont get that last sentence unless youre either from Tampa or are an older guy from Baltimore but I just have a problem with Crawford)
Guest Rrrsh Report post Posted December 17, 2004 Its real easy to cover it becuase its an issue. When its going on, they treat it like MLS because there is no issue. This is a prime issue to fill time on a issue-driven show like Cold Pizza
