Sell me on... Hating JBL

Recommended Posts

Guest Tjhe CyNick

I dont think JBL gets that much heat when he comes out.

He's begging people to chant his name, which you would expect would lead to "JBL Sucks", but you almost never hear that.

I'm not one of those people who thinks JBL is killing SD or anything, if anything, I think Taker is doing more damage, but thats another tale. But at the same time, I think its clear to anyone who is honest about the situation that JBL gets next to no heat.

But to me the only way you could say JBL is such a horrible champion is if SD's numbers (TV, PPV, houses) were way down compared to RAW. Thats not the case, so he's no worse than the guy holding down the same spot on RAW.

If Eddie were to win the title on SD...and for the next month or two, the buyrates and ratings were bad...and for the sake of arguement...let's say they were worse, so WWE put the title on someone else again. The arguement of most would be that JBL absolutely killed the credibility of the title, or that he turned so many people away from SD. Or, like some have said, that Eddie wasn't booked right. No one would mention anything about it being Eddie's fault. About how some possibly see his gimmick as stale, or that maybe some got tired of his Spanglish promos. (Once again, this is for the sake of arguement as I know it probaly wouldn't be the case..) And that some just...didn't like Eddie and decided not to watch. But no, it would be because JBL killed SD, or because Creative team sucks.

Yeah, who cares if someone proved Eddie consistently draws the best numbers on SmackDown or that JBL consistently loses viewers. Why should little things like facts or statistics get in the way of your opinion...
