RedJed Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 TNA's new time slot change is official starting on 1/7. The show will move to 4 p.m. on Fridays with a midnight Saturday replay. they also announced the first line of TNA action figures will be released by Toy Biz, a division of Marvel Enterprises, in March, and Liquid Blue will release licensed TNA T-shirts Credit. www.wrestlingobserver.com I dont think this is any sort of big deal to report, as I dont see the 4pm any better than the 3pm, other than maybe some kids are home from school more than at 3. The midnight Sat replay is interesting, more than anything because they could and SHOULD use that instead for Xplosion or a new TNA show, maybe a little more violent and/or high energy even (with more X division bouts or could even use this show to be nothing BUT X division)? They got enough talent on the roster than its stupid to just settle for the 1 hour of Impact to build to these ppvs every month when they have now even taken out time for another extra show. I know it would cost a little more to tape more stuff for another 1 hour show, but I would think it would be worth it for them to do at this point.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 I must say that the Sat midnight would be better suited for schedule.....then again, I'll probably still DVR it instead of watching it anyway.
TheBigSwigg Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 Sat at midnight is an ok deal, as they'll get lonely channel surfers, and maybe some SNL fans flipping between commercials.
Guest Phenom Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 Thank the lord! Velocity and Impact back to back...sounds okay.
ChrisMWaters Posted December 22, 2004 Report Posted December 22, 2004 I already get Impact Saturday at midnight, thanks to Comcast Sports Net being here and not Fox Sports Net. So no big change for me, apparently, unless they change the Comcast time slot.
Guest whitemilesdavis Posted December 22, 2004 Report Posted December 22, 2004 Saturday at midnight seems significantly better to me for the demo they are targeting. Now I'll watch it.
Scroby Posted December 22, 2004 Report Posted December 22, 2004 Saturday at Midnight is good just in case another sport pre-emps it.
MillenniumMan831 Posted December 22, 2004 Report Posted December 22, 2004 Uh oh, guess that means the Midnight Wars in Cleveland will be starting up . . . WWE's Bottom Line vs. TNA's Impact
Guest LooneyTune Posted December 24, 2004 Report Posted December 24, 2004 If I missed RAW, I would still watch Bottom Line... mainly because I know WWE won't be dead in 3 months, and might actually miss something that meant something.
cue_meanie Posted December 24, 2004 Report Posted December 24, 2004 nothing in Wrestling actually "means something", maybe you should just watch for the entertainment value and not its historical significance.
TheBigSwigg Posted December 24, 2004 Report Posted December 24, 2004 If I missed RAW, I would still watch Bottom Line... mainly because I know WWE won't be dead in 3 months, and might actually miss something that meant something. Actually, I would rather watch iMPACT if I thought that TNA was folding. The logic being that in a few months WWE will still be doing the same shit over and over and TNA won't be on at all. Get it while you can, essentially.
Guest whitemilesdavis Posted December 25, 2004 Report Posted December 25, 2004 Nothing meaningful will happen on Bottom Line, ever.
