Guest Coffey Report post Posted December 23, 2004 Sounds like more of the same old shit to me. I'll rent it first. That picture of the Pedigree looks downright dreadful.
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted December 23, 2004 I think it looks better than a few of the SD ones. I hope it's not like SD where you only get 2 Finishers. I loved in No Mercy/WM2k how you could have around 9 of them, so you could more accurately create an actual wrestler moveset-wise.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted December 23, 2004 Awesome, I wanted to hear No Mercy brought up and one of my biggest peeves is the create-a-wrestler where you can change them any colour and make their head huge. Their style effecting how much damage their moves do is awesome as well. I am, officially, wanting to play this game now.

Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted December 23, 2004 That picture of the Pedigree looks downright dreadful. SUPER SAFE PEDIGREE OF DOOM~ Considering its the super safe one, that would then suggest that it should look like absolute crap. *checks* Yeah, they definitely made it as absolute crap as possible. SO getting the game now.
Ted the Poster 0 Report post Posted December 23, 2004 I personally prefer to base my wrestling game purchases around how good the drop toe hold animation looks.

Their style effecting how much damage their moves do is awesome as well. I am, officially, wanting to play this game now. This is said and implemented in EVERY wrestling game. They know people want No Mercy, so they always name drop it. They know people want to hear about a good create-a-wrestler, so they talk about how it's "more realistic" and all this other hogwash. Style effecting moves? Yeah, The Big Show won't hit hurricanranas. It didn't sound like this dude knew what the fuck he was talking about. "It's cool to see Andre is bigger than Rey in the game." You fucking twit...go back to Mortal Kombat. We've had height detection since...what? It's old news! It's expected...just like weight detection. It sounds like it's going to be Raw 3 (which means shitty animations) with a lot more shit stolen from the Smackdown games (which isn't really a good thing). Maybe I'm being too harsh, but as wrestling game fans, we've been burned A LOT in the past. EVERY SINGLE RELEASE is sold as "the next No Mercy" and they NEVER are. RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted December 24, 2004 http://xbox.ign.com/articles/427/427250p1.html Interview for RAW 2. I don't see any No Mercy references. They *do* say "more realistic CAW" for every game, but I never hear the "We are limiting it to make it more realistic", which is part of the reason I love No Mercy, the pre-rendered faces are much better than "adjust head 1 point". Games like WWF Attitude and RAW 1 didn't have different sizes, and RAW 2, as well as most games (LOW), don't make size an influencing factor. I was equally concerned as you were (the graphics and moves still concern me), but I heard what I wanted to hear, so I am at least interested in playing it.
