For as long as I can remember, The NFL's Washington Redskin's and Dallas Cowboy's almost have never worn their respective Home Jersey's while playing at home, Instead opting for their Away Uniform. Does anybody know why this Is? Just curious for some reason. Thanks!

I don't think that there's any real reason other than tradition ... the Dolphins are the same way, they wear the standard road-colored jerseys while at home.

I knew there were three teams, and I knew that Miami & Dallas were two of them, but I didn't know that the 'Skins were the 3rd.

Miami sometimes wear's their Away Uniform's at Home, but not always. In fact, this past Sunday Night's Game with Cleveland they wore their all Blue Uni's. I want to know whatever happened to The Redskin's Sweet Throwback Uniform's from 2 years ago? Why didn't they keep them Instead of the horrid one they got now? They could 've had The best Outfits In The NFL. Well next to my Hometown Pittsburgh Steelers, of course!

I believe sometime decades ago the Cowboys began believing the blue jersey's were cursed because they lost a bunch of games in them, so they started wearing the white ones all the time and won some championships. This led to teams starting to wear their white jersey's at home when the Cowboys came to town. Most notably were the Redskins and Eagles who did that.

I guess the Redskins just decided to start wearing the white's at home all the time. Philly wears their white ones at home sometimes when Dallas comes into town, but others(like this year) they didn't.

Cowboys do it for superstition/history

Dolphins do it to keep cool in Miami for day games

Redskins do it because Joe Gibbs likes it

"I'm Joe fucking Gibbs. I won 3 Superbowls with 3 different QB's! My team will wear whatever the fuck they want to wear!"
