Guest The Gecko Report post Posted January 1, 2005 I really hope Michigan kicks Texas' ass. Mainly because I'm a Michigan fan... but there's other reasons. I think Michigan is a much better team than the team you all saw against Ohio State. A lot of people thought Michigan was overrated after losing to Ohio State (but as we can see, Ohio St isn't that bad after kicking Oklahoma St's ass), and I want them to prove those people wrong. Also I thought Michael Hart was slighted as far as Heisman hype was concerned. He might not of been a finalist, but he was never really even considered and he should have been. I think he will have a big game vs. Texas, and I hope that he does, its the perfect time to show off his talent and give him some hype for next season. GO BLUE! Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted January 1, 2005 My Prediction... All the games suck and people have another pointless arguement for a playoff system and to abandon the current system. I really don't like how the BIG FOUR can't be #1 vs #2 #3 vs #4 #5 vs #6 #7 vs #8.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2005 I think A&M and Texas will take there respective opponents behind the woodshed and deliver a beating. Hey if Tech could whip the holy shit out of Cal why can't they? And I have to work till 6. Luckily I work at Radioshack and can watch these games but it still sucks to watch them at work. Guest Report post Posted January 1, 2005 I am really looking forward to watching the Cotton Bowl and the Rose Bowl tomorrow. If A&M shows up to play it will probably be the best game tomorrow and if in the Rose Bowl Texas doesn't win, it would be a great disappointment with their campaining and whatnot. Hey if they lose a close game and look good doing it they are still doing better than Cal did.

Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2005 Cal had a letdown after not being in the BCS, same thing would have happened to Texas. Doubtful. I knew there'd be excuses for Cal. Hey I could say OU experienced a let down after a tough conference title loss last year. But they just got beat by a better team. Apparently the same thing happened to Cal. They got beat by a better team. Tech already said that they showed no fear against Texas and OU and they think that those two teams are better than Cal. And I think they proved it. Guest Report post Posted January 1, 2005 I am a USC fan so I show no bias towards Cal, personally I am glad they lost, but there is no way in hell that Texas Tech is a better team than Cal. The best team doesn't always win the game.

The best team doesn't always win the game. Well on this night at least Tech was a better team. They made Cal's defense look like a JV squad. And that maligned Tech defense? They beat Cal as well. Tech knew that if Arrington ran on them they would lose. So they scored quickly and it forced Cal to have to throw rather than run to conserve time. And that's right where Tech had them. I like what they said on ESPN.com. It said "When the Game was over: when Cumbie lined up behind center" As soon as Tech scored it was pretty much obvious how the game was going to turn out. It was all downhill for Cal. Even being up 14-7 I think they knew Tech was going to go crazy on offense. Tech was better than everyone thought and Cal was worse. Plain and simple. It's obvious the Pac 10 isn't as good as everyone thinks and the Big XII is better than everyone thought. Especially the South which some people here are saying is overrated. Guest Report post Posted January 1, 2005 Oklahoma State lost to a very mediocre Ohio State team which lost to Northwestern and nearly lost to Marshall, and that Oklahoma State team nearly beat Texas and OU. That gives me a reason to believe the Big XII South is overrated.

Of course, pending today and tomorrow's games but so far I have the Big XII South at 1-1 and the Pac 10 at 2-1(Oregon State and Arizona State both won). Also last year both the Pac 10 and Big XII South went 2-3 in their respective bowl games. Just to offer a view using numbers I'm a Big East fan but only follow Boston College so I'll probably start cheering the ACC or wherever they are headed next season. Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2005 Georgia, Tennessee, LSU, and Auburn will do their duty and give the SEC a 4-2 record, baybee.

UCLA lost to Wyoming and Cal lost to Tech. The Big XII overall is 3-1 and we'll know what's going on after today. Kingof909 you can't use who this person and that person beat to say that one team is better than another. I think it was Edwin that had that argument. If he'd like to repeat it that'd be cool. But by your logic. A very mediocre Wyoming team beat a UCLA team that came close to the upset. Cal lost to Texas Tech and Tech got plain beat down by OU and Texas but Cal nearly beat USC so that means OU and Texas are better than USC. See I can use that logic on you to 909. Guys on College Gameday are saying Texas is going to embarass Michigan.

Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2005 And Georgia is up 3-0 on Wisconsin. The real studs of the SEC play today, none of that worthless Florida or Alabama crap.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2005 Texas A&M has a great drive, bolstered by a late hit penalty on Tennessee, but bumbles an option pitch and Tennessee recovers! This game is going to be a hard-hitting shootout. Both offenses came ready to light up the scoreboard and guys are getting popped left and right out there. Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2005 Wisconsin recovers a fumble deep in Georgia territory. Man, everyone brought their A-games today.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2005 Georgia's defense smashes Wisconsin in the mush enough to cause them to go backwards, resulting in just a field goal. 3-3. Tennessee converts a HUGE 3rd down after a delay of game penalty. The virtual home game atmosphere for A&M is giving Clausen fits, as is the defensive heat. He's already gotten nailed twice, but not sacked. It makes a big difference when you're missing your All-American O-Lineman.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2005 Wilhoit misses a field goal, still 7-0. Schaeffer was brought in for an obvious 3rd down QB draw play, which fails. I'm just happy to see he's game-ready. Fulmer can really play with the defense now that he's got the wild card Schaeffer to go to as an option.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2005 A&M's defense is going to have to shore up if they hope to win this game. But the offense thus far seems to be doing great.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2005 Tennessee forces ANOTHER fumble, this one at the A&M 30. Here's our second chance at going up by two scores. Fortunately we came out motivated by our performance against Auburn and the defense is pissed off that so many have been slagging them the last four games. Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2005 14-0 Vols, and A&M really needs to score on this drive somehow, and I don't think a field goal will cut it. Tennessee came to PLAY today.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2005 I didn't realize the A&M quarterback's bell had been rung. I think one of the announcers said "oh, shit!" when they chose to run a draw play with a guy who moments earlier had to prove his consciousness. It's looking like they're settling into a defensive battle down in Tampa, still 3-3 and punts are being traded between Georgia and Wisconsin.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2005 A&M really looks out of synch on defense. They've made a couple of mental errors and they really need to have a good second quarter. Is this how it's going to be? Bottom dwellers of the Big XII win but the upper-echelon gets their bell rung?
